Proposed is a food-waste disposal apparatus, in particular, including a transfer housing; a transfer screw rotatably mounted to an inside of the transfer housing, and transferring food waste, which is introduced into the transfer housing, in a frontward direction of the transfer housing while compressing the food waste; and a gap forming portion provided in a rear end portion of the transfer screw, and forming a wastewater discharging gap between a front surface thereof and a rear cross-section of the transfer housing to discharge wastewater coming out of the food waste. Thus, the gap forming portion is provided outside the transfer housing (i.e., outside the rear end portion) and adjustable forward and backward, thereby not only making it easy to adjust a wastewater discharging gap but also discharging the waste water smoothly as a wastewater outlet is oriented downward.

A juice pressing machine and methods for pressing juice from a foodstuff includes embodiments having a removable pressing chamber and one or more filters which may be assembled and loaded with macerated foodstuff to form thin layers separated by a pressing plate. Once a juicing operation has been completed, the pressing chamber can be removed from the machine for emptying the pressed filters and solids contents therein. The empty pressing chamber may then be rinsed if needed and reattached to the machine for a subsequent pressing operation with newly filled filter(s). The platen may also be easily removed from the machine for cleaning as desired.

A processing system for processing plant mixture into milk and pulp preferably includes a filter, a plunger mechanism, and a pulp catcher. The filter has a filter wall and floor that together define a chamber. The plunger mechanism (which has a plunger shaft with an actuator end and a plunger head end) is insertable into the chamber. A preferred plunger head at the plunger head end may have at least one clearing blade and/or a first part of a connector.
