DEVICE FOR MANUALLY COMPACTING WASTE
The invention relates to a device for manually compacting waste contained in a container, including a frame having a support plate that is intended to be positioned and/or fastened to the ground, and two lateral uprights, a left-hand lateral upright and a right-hand lateral upright, respectively, that are secured to the support plate and extend perpendicularly thereto, with the support plate and the lateral uprights delimiting a central space that is able to receive a container containing waste. The device also includes two manually actuable levers, namely a left-hand lever fastened to the left-hand lateral upright so as to pivot about a left-hand pivot axis and a right-hand lever fastened to the right-hand lateral upright so as to pivot about a right-hand pivot axis, with the left-hand and right-hand pivot axes being parallel and defining a plane parallel to a plane defined by the support plate. The device further includes at least one push bar, at the lower end of which a compression plate is fastened, with the push bar being connected to the left-hand lever and/or the right-hand lever by way of at least one connecting member that is able to slide along the left-hand lever and/or right-hand lever and which is configured to act on the push bar under the action of the left-hand lever and/or right-hand lever so as to move it towards the ground or away from the ground, thus making it possible to move the compression plate towards or away from the support plate from an equilibrium position in which it rests on the waste to be compacted.
Manually Operated Trash Compactor for Airplane Lavatory and Method for Compacting Trash
An example lavatory waste compartment includes a waste bin having a waste compartment for trash, a waste flap providing an opening into the waste compartment for insertion of the trash, and a manually operated trash compactor coupled to a ceiling. The manually operated trash compactor includes an expansion component connected to a compacting head, and a retraction component coupled to the expansion component to hold or retract the expansion component to a stowed position. An increase in temperature above a threshold temperature causes the retraction component to release the expansion component resulting in deployment of the compacting head into the waste bin. An actuation device is provided to deploy the expansion component from the stowed position, and when deployed, the expansion component blocks opening of the waste flap, and the retraction component causes the expansion component to retract to the stowed position via release of the actuation device.
Trolley for collecting waste
A trolley for collecting waste includes: wheels, a steering handle, and a housing with a bottomwall and a sidewall extending vertically from the bottomwall, wherein the housing forms a waste chamber, wherein the sidewall comprises an opening, wherein a flap is connected by a first bearing to the sidewall of the housing, such that the flap is pivotable about a horizontal flap axis between a closing position and an opening position. The flap in its closing position closes the opening of the sidewall, and the flap in its opening position opens the opening in the sidewall, wherein the handle is connected by a second bearing to the housing, such that the handle is pivotable about a handle axis between a first handle position and a second handle position, and the handle is linked to the flap by a mechanical linkage, such that pivoting the handle from its second handle position to its first handle position results in a pivoting of the flap from its opening position to its closing position.
Mechanical Apparatus for Compressing Waste
The technical disclosure relates to a mechanical device that compresses waste in a garbage can. The embodiments descried in the technical disclosure provide the benefit of compacting waste without having to touch the waste, and also using trash bags more efficiently. The technical disclosure describes a shaft extending through a lid and connected to a star-shaped polygon that pushes down on waste. The star-shaped polygon provides improved performance. Additional embodiments are further described herein.
APPARATUS FOR FORMING BLOCKS OF COMPACTABLE MATERIAL
Apparatuses for forming blocks of compactable material such as snow, having a hollow upper body with a compression chamber within for containing and subsequently compressing the compactable material to form a block that can be used in connection with recreational activities. A lower body having a flat compression plate attached to a top end, is configured to slide within the compression chamber, the compression plate being capable of pushing the compactable material into a hinged lid that is attached to a top end of the upper body and acts to cover a top opening of the upper body. Ferromagnetic materials attached to the underside of the compression plate are configured to contact other ferromagnetic materials attached to the interior walls of the compression chamber, which at least temporarily arrests sliding movement of the upper and lower bodies, and allows a user to fill the apparatus with compactable material.
Trash compactor
A trash compactor includes an enclosure assembly, a press assembly, and a lever assembly. The enclosure assembly includes a tray and an enclosure extending from the bottom end of the tray. Furthermore, the press assembly includes a press member disposed within the enclosure. The press member includes openings that receive rods therethrough. The rods being secured to opposing interior walls of the enclosure allowing the press member to slidably traverse an interior portion of the enclosure. A lever is then engaged with the actuating rod that is configured to be actuated by a user to compact trash placed within the enclosure.
Handheld modular rosin press device
The embodiments herein provide a modular rosin press device for use with a base clamp device having a pair or opposing rectangular elements, the modular device having a proximal press assembly, distal press assembly, and proximal block assembly. Each press assembly preferably contains a metallic heating component with a channel sized to accept the rectangular elements of the base clamp device. Each press assembly may also include a heating element, insulating plate, ledges which extend inwardly, and ribs of various designs and orientations.
Can Crushing and Bagging Device
An aluminum can crushing device is provided to encourage recycling of drink and other cans. The can crushing device employing a handle engaged with a housing, provides significant mechanical advantage to a user during the crushing process. A tilting base automatically ejects crushed cans from an internal cavity into a removably engaged bag.
Trash compactor assembly
A trash compactor assembly includes a receptacle including a base connected to at least one wall having an upper edge. A retaining chamber is defined between the wall(s) and the upper edge. A compaction plate is disposed within the retaining chamber. The compaction plate is configured to be manually moved in an upward direction from the base towards the upper edge to compact trash within the retaining chamber.
Trash compactor systems and methods
A trash compactor system includes a receptacle defining a retaining chamber that is configured to receive and retain trash, a compaction plate moveably secured within the retaining chamber, and a foot pedal operatively coupled to the compaction plate. Engagement of the foot pedal moves the compaction plate within the retaining chamber to compact the trash retained within the retaining chamber. A flap may cover an opening into the retaining chamber. The foot pedal may also be operatively coupled to the flap, such that the engagement of the foot pedal moves the flap into an open position that exposes the opening.
