Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to new and improved self-contained compactor systems incorporating a straight-push cylinder design, in which the compactor system is actuated in a horizontal direction. The improved design accommodates increased storage volume, long wear parts, simplified reservoir cleaning, and easier external access to the components, cylinders, and hoses of the self-contained compactor system.

Delivery and collection vehicle with baler

An extension for connection to a vehicle can include a first side, a second side, a ceiling, and a bottom, the first side opposing the second side and the ceiling opposing the bottom, each of the first side and second side connected to the ceiling and the bottom; a partition arranged between the first side and the second side; and a baler, wherein the ceiling, the first side, the bottom, and the partition define a storage compartment, wherein the ceiling, the second side, the bottom, and the partition define a baler compartment, and wherein the baler is arranged within the baler compartment, the baler comprising a compression system and a baling system.

A COMPACTOR

A compactor (1) for waste material comprises a housing (3) for receipt of a bag (4), the housing comprising sidewalls (11, 12) including at least one openable sidewall (13), and a compacting press comprising an actuator to force material into the bag when it is housed in the housing. At least one of the sidewalls comprises two adjacent panels (14, 15) connected by articulation means (16) allowing the sidewall to fold during a compaction operation. The folding of the sidewall has been found to dissipate the stresses caused by the pressure in the bag/housing due to the changing geometry and the movement of waste material into regions of lower density or voids created by the changed geometry.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING MATERIAL IN A PNEUMATIC PIPE TRANSPORT SYSTEM
20170225910 · 2017-08-10 · ·

Method for handling waste material in a pneumatic pipe transport system, wherein waste material is fed in from an input point into conveying piping, and conveyed in the conveying piping, mainly by the aid of suction/a pressure difference and/or a flow of transporting air, onwards to a separating device (1), in which the waste material to be transported and the transporting air separate from each other, from which separating device the waste material is transferred onwards to a separate waste container (26). Waste material is transferred, or is transferred and compressed to become denser, from the separating device (1) into a separate waste container (26) in a connecting channel (9) arranged between them with a transfer member (10) from the input aperture (8) of the connecting channel towards the output aperture (9′) and onwards into a separate waste container (26), and in which method the connection from the separating device (1) to the connecting channel (9) is closed at least during the detachment of the waste container (26). The invention also relates to an apparatus.
