SLOTTER HEAD, SLOTTER APPARATUS, AND BOX MAKING MACHINE
A slotter head, a slotter apparatus, and a box making machine form a joining piece with a high degree of accuracy by each being provided with: a cutter rest; a movable block mounted in an outer peripheral portion of the cutter rest; a first cutting blade that is fixed to the movable block along a shaft direction and along a direction inclined in a circumferential direction by a predetermined angle; a first support shaft that supports, on the cutter rest, the movable block rotatably around a first shaft center along the shaft direction; and a second support shaft that supports, on the cutter rest, the movable block rotatably around a second shaft center along the circumferential direction.
FOLDING ARRANGEMENT, FOLDING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FOLDING
A folding arrangement intended for folding of a continuous flow of box blanks. The folding arrangement includes: a feeding arrangement adapted to generate the continuous flow of box blanks through the folding arrangement and a folding unit. Also is a folding machine including the arrangement. Also is a method for adjustable folding of box blanks passing through the folding arrangement.
Folder-gluer
In a folder-gluer, push-out forces by an air cylinder and a push-out spring mechanism are set such that: (1) when downstream portions of first and fourth panels are passing through a second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed outwardly in a width direction by the push-out forces to extend the downstream portions of the first and fourth panels in the width direction; and (2) when upstream portions of the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate, the second bending plate is pushed back inwardly in the width direction by the resistance force applied to the second bending plate by the first and fourth panels so as not to extend the upstream portions in the width direction, and wherein the push-out forces are not varied by a control while the first and fourth panels are passing through the second bending plate.
FIXTURE FOR FOLDING A MINIATURE BOX
A box erecting device for folding a box is disclosed herein. The box erecting device includes a folding plate and a lid erecting system. The folding plate is configured for erecting a box, and a folding notch including a first edge and a second edge is formed in the folding plate. The first edge is configured for erecting a first dust flap of the box, and the second edge is configured for erecting a second dust flap of the box. The lid erecting system is disposed adjacent to the folding plate and is configured for erecting a lid of the box. The lid erecting system includes a tab funnel and a folding tool. The tab funnel includes a ramp for retaining the dust flaps while closing the lid. The folding tool includes a hooked ramp for causing a distal end of the lid to be inserted into the box.
Box assembly device and method of assembling box
In a box assembly device, a holding mechanism causes one of bottom boards to contact a first jig and folds the bottom board inside, while the holding mechanism holding the box material in a state where the box material is developed in a cylindrical shape from a folded state. The folding mechanism folds the bottom flap inside so as to overlap with one of the bottom boards. The holding mechanism causes the other bottom board to contact the second jig while holding the box material and folds the other bottom board inside and upwardly so as to overlap with the bottom flap to engage the bottom boards with each other.
MAGAZINE FOR PACKS OF BLANKS, AND METHOD FOR MAKING CONTAINERS FROM BLANKS
A magazine for packs of blanks includes a vertical channel configured for inserting and extracting packs of blanks, a succession of groups of supporting parts movable between a retracted position to allow the packs of blanks to move along the channel towards a portion under the supporting part, and an at least partly extracted position, in which the supporting part intercepts a pack of blanks moving down the channel and provides a steady support for the pack of blanks, and transmission means configured to automatically move each supporting part from the retracted position to the at least partly extracted position when the supporting part immediately below it intercepts a respective pack of blanks, thereby defining the steady support.
PAPER-BASED THERMAL INSULATION POUCHES
Pouch including an insulation pad (100) including two juxtaposed cellulose-based sheets (110, 112) and a cellulose-based insulation material (120). The two juxtaposed cellulose-based sheets are laminated together with the cellulose-based insulation material located therebetween. The pouch further includes transverse fold lines (134) in the insulation pad. The pouch further includes two W-shaped folds (140) in the insulation pad. The two W-shaped folds are formed by folding the insulation pad along the transverse fold lines. Portions of a first longitudinal edge (116) of the insulation pad are coupled to each other between the two W-shaped folds in the insulation pad.
Article handling device for erecting cartons
A device for erecting a flat collapsed carrier, the device comprising a shaft (46) having a longitudinal axis (a). A hub (27) is mounted to the shaft. At least one limb (16a-c) is rotationally mounted to the hub by a pivot coupling. A tool head (14a-c) is mounted to the limb. A drive motor is coupled to the shaft for rotating the hub about the longitudinal axis. The device comprises a first drive mechanism for rotating the at least one limb with respect to the hub such that the distance between the tool head and longitudinal axis can be adjusted.
Apparatus and method for producing packaging
An apparatus for producing packaging, in particular composite packaging for liquid foodstuffs, having a cross-sectional area that decreases in the pour-out direction in the gable region. The packaging is composed of a sleeve having a gable region having a plurality of gable faces and a pouring element. The apparatus has at least one rotatable mandrel wheel having a plurality of mandrels for holding the sleeves. Additionally, a method for producing such packaging and a gable press for use with the aforementioned apparatus. In order to allow easier and more cost-effective production, it is proposed that the apparatus has a gable press, assigned to a single mandrel wheel position, for folding the gable region, for connecting all the gable faces of the gable region of the sleeve to the pouring element and for sealing the protruding ears in the same mandrel wheel position.
Knocked-down case inspection and erection method
Techniques for corrugate and chipboard knocked-down case inspection and assembly are described herein. In one example, the disclosed techniques include a method to inspect and assemble a knocked-down case. In the example, a measurement of at least one aspect of the knocked-down case is obtained. A difference is determined between the obtained measurement and a standard measurement and/or a range of standard measurements. Programming of a case-handling tool is executed that is based at least in part on the determined difference. In an example, the programming is configured to adjust for and/or compensate for differences between the actual knocked-down case and a knocked-down case that is within a specification. A case-handling tool is operated responsive to the executed programming to at least partially erect the knocked-down case into an erected case.
