Machine and method for forming containers from blanks

Described are a machine and a method for forming containers from blanks, including a plurality of shaping hoppers, an endless conveyor which defines a feed path and on which the hoppers are mounted in succession and a plurality of pushing elements which are movable in such a way as to follow the respective shaping hoppers along at least a stretch of the feed path and which have a to-and-fro operating movement towards and away from the respective hopper along a direction transverse, preferably perpendicular, to the feed path. The machine also includes folding means disposed along the feed path downstream of the pushing elements and configured to produce, respectively, a top closure and/or a bottom closure of the tubular blank.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYERED CONTAINER

An anvil device (10) is for insertion into an end closure of a partially formed container. The anvil device (10) comprises a bracket (12) and an anvil body (14) connected to one end of the bracket (12). The anvil body (14) comprises four corners (C1 to C4) where the distance between one pair of diagonally opposite corners (C1, C3) is less than the distance between the other pair of diagonally opposite corners (C2, C4). The anvil body (14) is asymmetric and one corner (C1) is closer to the centre of the anvil body (14) than each of the other three corners (C2 to C4).

Method of producing a stacking projection and corresponding tool

In a method of producing a stacking projection and a corresponding tool a mandrel as part of the tool is inserted into a cup, wherein the mandrel comprises a receiving recess. The bottom part of the cup is then supported by a supporting tool and a collet is assigned to a region of the cup where the stacking projection is to be formed. Thereafter, at least a part of the collet is pressed radially inwardly in direction to the receiving recess such that a portion of the cup wall is pressed into the receiving recess to form the stacking projection. Simultaneously, the height of the cup is reduced by displacing the mandrel and/or the supporting tool with respect to the other in axial direction. Finally, pressure applied to the collet is released and the cup is removed with the mandrel from the collet and the supporting tool. By such method and corresponding tool the stretching of the wall material is avoided as well as any defect of an inner layer of polymer of this material and simultaneously the method of production and corresponding tool are simplified or of simply construction and can be used for high production rates of corresponding cups.

Method and a machine for manufacturing containers

A method and a machine for realizing containers, including at least steps of impressing a shape in relief on a sheet of deformable material, enveloping the sheet about itself and reciprocally joining lateral flaps thereof in order to form a tubular blank, and closing a bottom end of the tubular blank.
