Storage bag
A method of making a storage bag comprising the following steps performed in any order: (a) forming a composite tube having an inner surface comprising a higher melting polymer, an outer surface comprising a lower melting polymer, two ends, and a diameter; (b) flattening the tube in a direction perpendicular to the diameter; (c) forming a joint at one of the ends at a temperature between respective melting points of the higher melting polymer and the lower melting polymer; (d) providing a composite sheet having a first side comprising a higher melting polymer and a second side comprising a lower melting polymer; and (e) disposing the composite sheet over the joint such that the first side comprising a lower melting polymer engages the joint and forming a lap seam over the joint at a temperature between respective melting points of the higher melting polymer and the lower melting polymer, and a storage bag made by such method.
Flexible material packages
A flexible material package (100, 200) is presented comprising a reinforcing element (3) and a first sealed area (103) positioned close to the upper end of the package (100, 200) and preferably configured so as to close the package (100, 200), wherein the reinforcing element (3) is at least partially positioned within the first sealed area (103), the package (100, 200) further comprising gripping means positioned vertically below the reinforcing element (3) and configured so as to be used to support the package (100, 200). A closing method, a filling method and a formation method of the package (100, 200) are also presented.
ROOFING SHINGLES WITH HANDLES
A roofing shingle includes a head lap and at least one solar cell. The head lap includes at least one handle located between a first end and a second end of the shingle and proximate to a first edge thereof. The at least one handle includes at least one cutout and a gripping portion. The at least one cutout is sized and shaped to receive an external object to facilitate transporting the shingle by a user.
SIDE GUSSET PAPER CONTAINER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SIDE GUSSET PAPER CONTAINER AND USE OF THE SIDE GUSSET PAPER CONTAINER
A side gusset paper container in which in the region of the transition of the front wall to a first part of the container bottom region, there is a first pre-crease, and in which in the region of the transition of the rear wall into a second part of the container bottom region, there is a second pre-crease. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a method for producing a side gusset paper container, in which at least one or a plurality of linear pre-creases are formed in the inner side of a paper web. Additionally, the disclosure relates to a use of the side gusset paper container according to the disclosure as a compost collecting and/or carrying container and/or as a fillable container which is self-standing in the unfilled state.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING A FOLD IN AN OVERWRAPPING FILM
An apparatus for producing a filmic packaging material having a continuously folded portion includes a first component having a protruding part; a first roller rollable on its longitudinal axis, the first roller provided with a recess on its outer surface for receiving the protruding part; a drive mechanism for moving the material along a path in a manner such that a continuous portion of the material is drawn into the recess of the first roller by the protruding part of the first component such that the continuous portion of the material is folded, forming a continuously folded portion having an overlapping surface due to the arrangement of the protruding part of the first component in relation to the recess of the first roller; a bonding component provided downstream of the first roller arranged to adhere together the overlapping surface of the continuously folded portion of the material.
Thermoplastic bags with complex stretch patterns
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
Bottle pouch with rigid handle
A bottle pouch with an integrated fitment and inner support handle piece includes a flexible pouch in the shape of a bottle including a flexible pouch body with a handle region, and a combined fitment and inner support handle piece including a rigid handle portion extending from the combined fitment and inner support handle piece. The combined fitment and inner support handle piece is coupled to the flexible pouch. The inner support handle piece extends from the inside of the fitment and is internal to the flexible pouch body and passes from the interior to the exterior of the flexible pouch body adjacent to the handle region of the flexible pouch body to form the rigid handle portion. In another form, the inner support handle piece extends from the outside periphery of the fitment and is external to the flexible pouch body, but is secured to the periphery of the flexible pouch body with one or more outer sleeves or loops.
