A SINGLE FACER FOR MANUFACTURING A CORRUGATED BOARD WITH A FACILITATED SYSTEM FOR REPLACING THE PRESSING BELT
The single facer includes a load-bearing frame for housing a first corrugating roller and a second corrugating roller, meshing with each other and mounted in the load-bearing frame. The single facer further includes a pivoting structure, pivoted to the load-bearing frame about a pivoting axis and including two pivoting arms supporting two guide rollers of a continuous flexible member. Two actuators raise and lower the pivoting arms and the guide rollers. A hinge system allows to keep the pivoting structure cantilevered to replace the continuous flexible member.
A SINGLE FACER FOR MANUFACTURING A CORRUGATED BOARD WITH A PRESSING UNIT WITH A CONTINUOUS FLEXIBLE MEMBER
The single facer includes a load-bearing frame for housing a first corrugating roller and a second corrugating roller, meshing with each other and mounted in the load-bearing frame. The single facer further includes a pivoting structure pivoted to the load-bearing frame about a pivoting axis and provided with a first guide roller and a second guide roller (35) pivotally supported for rotation on the pivoting structure. A continuous flexible member is guided about the guide rollers. Furthermore, provided for is a control system adapted to displace the pivoting structure to a working position, wherein the continuous flexible member is pressed against the second corrugating roller, and to a raised position, wherein the first guide roller and the second guide roller are spaced from the second corrugating roller.
PAPER-SPECIFIC MOISTURE CONTROL IN A TRAVELING PAPER WEB
A network-based system and method for providing desired moisture set point values for individual papers lines based on the physical properties of each liner and the atmospheric conditions associated with a corrugator is disclosed. The desired moisture set point values are based on the hygroexpansivity of each individual paper liner. Once the moisture set point value has been determined, a conditioning apparatus adjusts a moisture value for each liner in order to tune the post-warp characteristics of the final corrugated product.
Corrugated Cardboard Pest Repellent System
A corrugated cardboard pest repellent system for repelling and/or exterminating various pests around, within, or between layers of a corrugated cardboard construct while reducing the risk of contamination of goods or exposure by handlers. The corrugated cardboard pest repellent system generally includes one or more liners secured by an adhesive to one or more layers of a corrugated medium that has been treated by a pest repellent. The pest repellent is positioned on the underside of each crest of the one or more layers of the corrugated medium to prevent incursion of pests into the corrugated medium. Multiple layers may be stacked to form various constructs including a single face corrugated cardboard construct, a single wall corrugated cardboard construct, a double wall corrugated cardboard construct, and a triple wall corrugated cardboard construct. The resulting constructs may be utilized for various purposes, including forming various types of containers, padding, or liners.
Method for manufacturing cardboard sheet using prediction model of sheet warpage with deletion of prescribed information
A cardboard sheet manufacturing system includes an information editing unit storing production state information, operation state information, and warping state information as acquisition information in a storage unit, the information editing unit deleting, in a case where the stored acquisition information includes prescribed information to be deleted, the information to be deleted from the storage unit and outputting the acquisition information stored in the storage unit as editing information. The system also includes an editing information storage unit storing the editing information output from the information editing unit, a prediction model calculation unit calculating a prediction model of the warping state based on the editing information stored in the editing information storage unit; and a control table update unit updating a target value of a control value of a control element in the cardboard sheet manufacturing apparatus, based on the prediction model.
System and method for producing a facing for a board product with strategically placed scores
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have a pre-scored facing in addition to a medium (sometimes called fluting). Conventional corrugated board may feature a cross-corrugated medium and one or more facing that have no score lines that are impressed (at least prior to assembly with the corrugated medium). Such a conventional board product may be inferior because any score lines that are impressed will damage the underlying corrugated medium in some manner. A breakdown in the strength of the underlying medium leads to poor precision when the eventual board product is scored, cut, and folded. A lack of precision in folding a board product leads to gap variation and fishtailing as any articulated portion of the board product may not maintain a precise plane of articulation when folded.
Corrugated cardboard sheet manufacturing system
The corrugated cardboard sheet manufacturing system including a production state information acquisition device; a control value information acquisition device for acquiring control value information of a control element of a corrugated cardboard sheet manufacturing apparatus exerting an influence on the warp of a corrugated cardboard sheet; a warp information acquisition device for acquiring information of a warp amount of the corrugated cardboard sheet; a storage device for storing a performance data set including at least production state information, the control value information, and the warp information; a pre-control table storing a standard control value of the control element set in accordance with a production state; a correction table for correcting the standard control value to set an initial control value; an update device for updating the correction table by reflecting the performance data set; and control device for performing feedforward control of the control element using the initial control value.
Web adhesive application device and adhesive application method as well as cardboard sheet manufacturing device
A web adhesive application device, adhesive application method, and the cardboard sheet manufacturing device are provided with: an adhesive liquid tank for storing an adhesive liquid; an adhesive application roll is configured for transferring the adhesive liquid to an adhesive application region adjusted according to a paper width of a bottom liner board to be glued together with a single face cardboard sheet; a doctor roller for adjusting the adhesive liquid to a set film thickness; scraping members in pressured contact with the surface of the adhesive application roll on the upstream side of the nip section with the doctor roller; and damming members in contact with the surface of the adhesive application roll on the upstream side of the nip section with the doctor roller in the rotation direction and on the downstream side of the scraping member contact positions in the rotation direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYERED BOARD HAVING A MEDIUM WITH IMPROVED STRUCTURE
A system and method for producing a board product made from paper products that have embossed medium that features an improved structural profile. The improved structural profile may include a triangular flute pattern wherein each flute may exhibit a first linear leg support and a second linear leg support that each support a center apex structure. The apex may have a substantially flat portion that is configured to engage a facing. As such, the board product may further include one or more facings that are adhesively coupled to the embossed medium. Further, the apex of each “triangle” may also have a groove or channel for receiving an adhesive in a continuous and uniform manner.
