HIGH TEMPERATURE SAG RESISTANT GYPSUM PANEL
A fire-resistant gypsum panel comprises: a gypsum core layer comprising set gypsum and a high temperature sag-resistant material including mineral wool in an amount between 0.2% and 3.0% by weight of gypsum.
Systems and methods for producing durable, dimensionally stable, extruded sheet goods having a desired specific gravity
The present invention provides a system, method, and apparatus for producing a dimensionally stable extruded board product for use in surface coverings. The board product may be a basalt casting powder-based product for use as a substrate for wall or other surface coverings or may be used as a core layer in a modular floor covering unit. The modular floor covering unit comprises multiple layers. The layers are a thin cut stone veneer layer, a core layer with a density similar to that of the thin cut stone veneer layer, and an optional magnetically receptive underlayment layer. Other layers or combinations of layers may also be used.
Acoustical baffle
The present invention is directed to an acoustical baffle that has use in vehicle interiors, such as an interior headliner. In particular, the baffle can provide improved acoustics while maintaining a desired airflow resistance and can be configured to provide for different sound attenuation characteristics at selected locations of the baffle construction.
Insulated Transparent Display for an Appliance
An appliance has an insulated compartment with a door that is movable between a closed position and an open position for accessing an interior cavity of the insulated compartment. A window panel is disposed at the door for viewing the interior cavity when the door in in the closed position. A display overlays at least a portion of the window panel, so as to display information that is visible at an exterior surface of the door. The display is also at least partially transparent for viewing the interior cavity through the window panel and the display. A transparent thermal insulator is disposed between the window panel and the display to prevent the interior cavity from heating or cooling the display outside of an operating temperature range.
Gypsum Board Including a Laminate Layer
The present invention is directed to a gypsum board and a method of making such gypsum board. In one embodiment, the gypsum board comprises a gypsum core including a first gypsum core layer and a second gypsum core layer sandwiching a laminate layer. The laminate layer comprises two outer laminate layers sandwiching an inner laminate layer, wherein the two outer laminate layers have a higher elastic modulus than the inner laminate layer. The method of making the gypsum board includes steps of providing facing materials and corresponding gypsum slurries wherein the laminate layer is provided in-line during the manufacturing process of the gypsum board.
COVER BOARD WITH HONEYCOMB LAYER
A cover board and roofing system including a cover board are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cover board includes a honeycomb layer positioned between a first face sheet and a second face sheet. The honeycomb layer comprises a honeycomb structure having a plurality of partition walls forming a plurality of cells. When the cover board is applied as part of a roof structure, including an insulation layer and a roof deck below the cover board, the roof structure exceeds requirements for Very Severe Hail Resistance according to the FM Approvals FM 4470 VSH impact resistance testing standard for Single-Ply, Polymer-Modified Bitumen Sheet, Built-Up Roof (BUR) and Liquid Applied Roof Assemblies.
MULTILAYER STRUCTURE
A multilayered structure includes a plurality of laminated portions arranged on a base material, wherein the laminated portions each include a resin layer, a glass layer, laminated over the resin layer via an adhesive laver, and a metal layer formed on a surface of the glass layer, the surface being oriented toward the adhesive layer, wherein a thickness of the glass layer is 10 μm or more and 300 μm or less, and a thickness of the resin layer is 10 μm or more and 1000 μm or less.
LAMINATED GLASS AND AUTOMOBILE DOOR
A laminated glass provided in an automobile door panel including two panel boards facing each other and seal members provided on facing surfaces of the panel boards at regions along a beltline, the laminated glass being openable and closable by being provided between the two panel boards so as to slide between the seal members, the laminated glass includes: a laminated glass main body including at least two glass plates and an interlayer film sandwiched between the glass plates and having a storage modulus G of 1.5×10.sup.6 Pa or more; and a viscoelastic member provided on a surface of the laminated glass main body, the viscoelastic member abutting on the seal member or the panel board and sealing a gap between the seal member or the panel board and the laminated glass main body, at a closed time of the laminated glass.
LOW DENSITY MICROSPHERES
Low-density thermoplastic expandable microspheres are disclosed. Various low-density structures, in particular, sandwich panels, based on foam prepared from the low-density microspheres, are also disclosed. Process of preparing low-density polymeric microspheres, per se, and the corresponding low-density structures, based on the microsphere foam, are also disclosed.
FAN CASE FOR AN AIRCRAFT ENGINE
The invention relates to a fan case for an aircraft engine in the region of the fan thereof, comprising a plurality of substantially cylindrically arranged fiber-reinforced plastic layers that are joined together, wherein a reinforcement ply made of glass fiber-reinforced plastic is disposed between an inner layer and an outer layer. According to the invention, the reinforcement ply consists of at least 20 plies of a glass fiber-reinforced plastic, and that deformation layers are disposed on both sides of the reinforcement ply, which deformation layers have a lower strength than the reinforcement ply.
