The cover may comprise an element and/or treatment to provide a visual effect. The intermediate layer may comprise a glass layer comprising an element and/or treatment to provide a visual effect. The composite visual effect may comprise a visual effect beneath the surface of the cover of the composite structure. The composite visual effect may comprise a depth effect when not illuminated and an enhanced depth effect when illuminated. A process to manufacture the component is also disclosed.

A laminated glass 1 includes a resin plate 2 as a core material, a first glass sheet 4 disposed on one surface side of the resin plate 2 via a first adhesive layer 3, and a second glass sheet 6 disposed on the other surface side of the resin plate 2 via a second adhesive layer 5. A heat reflective film 7 is disposed in the first adhesive layer 3, and a heat absorbing film 8 is disposed in the second adhesive layer 5, the heat absorbing film 8 functioning as a light absorbing member capable of absorbing a portion of incident light. The heat reflective film 7 is disposed closer to the first glass sheet 4 than the heat absorbing film 8 is.

A laminated automotive glazing (10) designed to utilize such as, e.g., a camera (18) or sensor, includes a first glass substrate (22) facing a vehicle exterior having a first side S1 and a second side S2, a second glass substrate (24) facing a vehicle interior having a third side S3 and a fourth side S4, the fourth side S4 facing the vehicle interior, and an interlayer (26) laminated between the first and second glass substrates. A correcting structure (32) is molded on at least a portion of the fourth side S4 of the second glass substrate (24) for improving optical properties of light transmitting through the first and second glass substrates (22, 24) and the interlayer (26).
