Roofing Materials and Roofing Systems with Improved Fire Resistance and Methods of Making Thereof
This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roll comprising a roofing material. The roofing material includes a substrate having a first side and a second side, and a film layer attached to at least one of the first side or the second side of the substrate, the film layer comprising a polymer and having a thickness of 0.5 mils to 100 mils. A single layer of the roofing material achieves a Class A rating for steep slope roofing systems when tested according to UL 790 and/or ASTM E-108 Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Roof Coverings. This invention, in embodiments, further relates to a roofing material and a steep slope roofing system.
FILM AND WATER STOPPING TAPE
Provided is a film and a water stopping tape that realize long-lasting water stopping properties. The film includes an outermost layer containing a water-absorbent polymer having a water absorbency of 5 g/g to 100 g/g that is represented by a ratio of a mass of a sample having been immersed in water for 3 hours to a mass of the sample not yet being immersed in water a permeable layer, and a substrate layer in this order, and the water stopping tape includes the film.
WATER-RESISTANT MULTILAYERED CELLULOSE-BASED SUBSTRATE
The present invention relates to a multilayered cellulose-based substrate, comprising a cellulose-based first layer, and a cellulose-based second layer in contact with said first layer, wherein said substrate has a basis weight above 85 g/m.sup.2, wherein said first layer comprises an internal sizing agent, and wherein said second layer has been subjected to grafting with a fatty acid halide through the entire thickness of said second layer. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the multilayered cellulose-based substrate.
POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE COMPOSITE FILTER MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to the field of air filtration, in particular to a polytetrafluoroethylene composite filter material and a preparation method and uses thereof. The polytetrafluoroethylene composite filter material comprises a support layer and a polytetrafluoroethylene microporous membrane layer, and the support layer and the polytetrafluoroethylene microporous membrane layer are compounded by an adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises a two-component polyurethane adhesive, a pore forming agent and an inorganic filler. The present invention adopts a two-component solvent-free polyurethane adhesive, and by adding a low-temperature pore forming agent and an inorganic filler, the pore forming agent forms an irregular pore channel structure at the bonding interface during curing, and the inorganic filler prevents the adhesive from entering the micropores of the polytetrafluoroethylene membrane, so that the air permeability and filtration efficiency of the polytetrafluoroethylene microporous membrane are not affected after compounding; and the prepared polytetrafluoroethylene composite filter material has good air permeability, high peel strength, good filtration efficiency and good barrier effect.
ADHESIVE TAPE
To provide an adhesive tape that is difficult to deform, can suppress stickiness on the sides, and can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases while meeting the required characteristics of adhesive tape, such as adhesive strength and holding force, the present invention use an adhesive tape including a base material, which is a laminate with a backside layer formed on one side of a base fabric by lamination processing; and an adhesive layer disposed on the opposite side of the base material from the backside layer, wherein the backside layer includes a thermoplastic resin including polyolefin and the adhesive layer includes natural rubber, a wood-based filler, a plant-derived plasticizer and a tackifier.
SOUND ABSORBING STRUCTURES
An acoustic structure presenting a front surface and a back surface is provided. The acoustic structure includes a support layer comprising the back surface, a honeycomb core comprising a thickness defined between a back and a front, and a plurality of walls that define a plurality of honeycomb cells, wherein the plurality of honeycomb cells extend through the thickness of the honeycomb core opening out toward at least the front, and wherein the back of the honeycomb core is affixed to the support layer, a mesh layer affixed to the front of the honeycomb core, and a knit fabric layer affixed to the mesh layer and conforming to the front surface of the acoustic structure.
PROCESS FOR IN-MOLD COATING OF COMPOSITE AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS
Processes for forming fiber reinforced composite aircraft components, i.e., aircraft components formed of a cured fiber-reinforced resin, are provided. According to specific embodiments, a finished surface of the composite aircraft component can be achieved by providing in-mold coating of the cured fiber-reinforced resin by a dried and cured film layer of a water-based primer paint material to thereby achieve a composite aircraft component having an exterior surface that does not necessarily require further finishing.
Synthetic resin skin material composite and method of producing synthetic resin skin material composite
A synthetic resin skin material composite, including: a urethane resin skin material including a urethane resin skin layer provided at one surface of a substrate; and a cushion layer that is placed at a surface on an opposite side of the substrate from the surface of the urethane resin skin material at which the urethane resin skin layer is provided; in which the urethane resin skin material has recesses at a side of the urethane resin skin layer, and each of the recesses has a depth in a thickness direction of the synthetic resin skin material composite, such that the recesses extend from the urethane resin skin layer into the cushion layer beyond an interface between the urethane resin skin material and the cushion layer that is present in a region without a recess, as well as a method of producing a synthetic resin skin material composite.
