Functionalized textile materials are provided. At least a portion of a textile surface in includes a ceramic material, such as a binderless porous structured ceramic, and optionally, one or more functional layer is applied, resulting in a textile material with one or more desirable functional properties, such as hydrophilicity, hydrophobicity, flame retardancy, photocatalysis, anti-fouling, and/or deodorant properties.
Vehicle glass with increased resilience to environmental influences
A vehicle glass sheet is provided that includes a borosilicate glass with a thickness between 1.1 mm and 5.4 mm and a two-dimensional area for a sensor assigned to this two-dimensional area. The two-dimensional area has an inclination (α) with respect to an upward direction (S) perpendicular to a main direction of movement (V) of the vehicle that is in a range between 35° and 65°.
METHOD FOR LAMINATING A LAMINATED PANE COMPRISING A FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT WITH ELECTRICALLY SWITCHABLE OPTICAL PROPERTIES
A method for producing a laminated pane with a functional element with electrically switchable optical properties, includes creating a first stack of layers including a first pane, a first thermoplastic laminating film, a separating film, a second thermoplastic laminating film, a second pane, laminating the first stack of layers while being heated, taking the first pane with the first thermoplastic laminating film off the second pane with the second thermoplastic laminating film, and the at least one separating film is removed from the stack of layers, providing a functional element having an active layer, placing the functional element into the stack of layers, whereby a second stack of layers is formed, laminating the second stack of layers to form a laminated pane, wherein the separating film is detachable residue-free from the first thermoplastic laminating film and the second thermoplastic laminating film.
ADHESION METHOD FOR ADHERING GLASS COMPONENT AND RESIN COMPONENT
A glass component, which has a first surface and a second surface that faces in a direction opposite to the first surface, and a resin component are adhered. The first surface of the glass component and the resin component are caused to face each other and the glass component and the resin component are layered, the first surface of the glass component being provided with an acrylic ink printing. IR laser is radiated from the first surface of the glass component toward the printing, and the glass component and the resin component are welded by a heat of dissolution of the printing.
AUTOMOTIVE GLASS STRUCTURE HAVING FEATURE LINES AND RELATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Automotive glass structures having curves and feature lines and methods for forming the same are provided. An example method includes applying localized heat (e.g., via a laser, heating element) to a location of a substantially planar glass structure and bending the glass structure at that location (e.g., along a line of the planar glass structure) to form a feature line in the glass structure. The bending can be formed to have a radius of curvature of between 2 mm and 5 cm. Additional layers of curved or joined glass layers may further be included to form a curved multi-layer glass structure for automotive use.
LAMINATED GLAZING HAVING AN INFORMATION ACQUISITION SYSTEM VIEWING AREA
A laminated glazing to be used with an information acquisition system includes a first glass sheet; a first interlayer; a photopolymer film; a second interlayer; a second glass sheet; and a first information acquisition system viewing area for transmitting information to be collected by the information acquisition system wherein the photopolymer film provides an evenly patterned area in the first information acquisition system viewing area.
Process for forming curved glass laminate article formed using separation material
A system and process for forming a curved glass laminate article is provided. The process and system utilizes a separation material, such as solid lubricating material and/or a spray applied separation material that Applicant has determined reduces bending dot formation during co-sagging shaping of glass sheets. The bending dot reduction provided by the separation materials discussed herein is particularly seen when the pair of glass sheets have significantly different thicknesses and/or viscosities from each other.
Laminated glass
A laminated glass according to the present invention includes a first glass plate, a second glass plate, and an interlayer film. The interlayer film includes a laminated region including a first layer that is in contact with the first glass plate, a second layer that is in contact with the second glass plate, and a third layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer. When the relative dielectric constant of the first glass plate is denoted by ε.sub.g1, the relative dielectric constant of the second glass plate is denoted by ε.sub.g2, the relative dielectric constant of the first layer is denoted by ε.sub.m1, the relative dielectric constant of the second layer is denoted by ε.sub.m2, and the relative dielectric constant of the third layer is denoted by ε.sub.m3, relationships ε.sub.m1<ε.sub.g1, ε.sub.m1<ε.sub.g2, ε.sub.m2<ε.sub.g1, ε.sub.m2<ε.sub.g2, ε.sub.m3>ε.sub.m1, ε.sub.m3>ε.sub.m2 are established.
LAYER ELEMENT SUITABLE AS INTEGRATED BACKSHEET ELEMENT OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULE
The invention relates to a layer element comprising three layers A, B and C in the configuration A-B-C wherein layers A and B and layers B and C are in adhering contact with each other, an article, preferably a photovoltaic module, comprising said layer element, a process for preparing said layer element, a process for preparing a photovoltaic module comprising said layer element and the use of said layer element as integrated backsheet element of a photovoltaic module.
