CUSHIONING ARTICLE FILM HAVING RECLAIMED CONTENT
A multi-layer film, a cushioning article and a method of manufacture a cushioning article from the multi-layer film is disclosed. The multi-layer film having a barrier layer that includes a compatibilizer. The film having an oxygen transmission rate sufficient to contain a fluid to form a cushioning article.
METHOD OF FORMING A CUSHIONING SHEET
A method of forming a cushioning sheet includes forming a plurality of first sockets in a first layer; forming a plurality of second sockets in a second layer, each of the second sockets aligned with a corresponding one of the first sockets; positioning a cushioning insert within a void defined between each corresponding pair of the first and second sockets; and coupling the first layer to the second layer to retain the plurality of cushioning inserts within the voids.
Textured Nonwoven Laminate
A textured laminate that contains a coform nonwoven web formed from a matrix of synthetic fibers and an absorbent material is provided. The coform web is positioned adjacent to a cellular film that includes a plurality of cavities encapsulating a gas (e.g., air). By selectively controlling various aspects of the coform web, film, and the particular manner in which the film and coform web are laminated together, the present inventors have discovered that the resulting laminate can achieve an increased bulk that remains relatively stable even in a wet condition. Thus, the resulting laminate can be readily employed in a wet wipe without losing its bulk and overall texture.
SHEET WITH CUSHIONING INSERTS
Example aspects of a cushioned sheet, a cushioned mailer, and a method of forming a cushioned sheet are disclosed. The cushioned sheet can comprise a first layer comprising a first base and a plurality of first sockets extending from the first base, each of the first sockets spaced apart from adjacent ones of the first sockets; a second layer coupled to the first layer by an adhesive, the second layer comprising a second base and a plurality of second sockets extending from the second base, each of the second sockets aligned with a corresponding one of the first sockets to define a void therebetween; and a plurality of cushioning inserts, each of the plurality cushioning inserts substantially spherical in shape and received in a corresponding one of the voids.
Air bag packaging arrangement and self-adhesive checking valve
An air bag packaging arrangement and a self-adhesive checking valve, the air bag packaging arrangement includes an air bag and an air valve which is the self-adhesive checking valve. The air bag includes first and second cell overlapped layers to form an air chamber and a valve opening. The air valve includes first and second sealing films overlapped between the first and second cell layers, and a strengthening film provided between the first valve film and the first cell film to strengthen a joint strength between the first valve film and the first cell film, so as to prevent the first valve film from being broken, so as to further avoid an air leakage.
Polyethylene laminates for use in flexible packaging materials
Embodiments of a laminate structure for use in flexible packaging comprise a sealant film comprising ethylene-based polymer, and a multilayer polyethylene print film laminated to the sealant film. The print film comprises at least 3 layers and has an overall thickness from 15 to 30 μm. The print film comprises a middle layer, an inner layer disposed between sealant film and the middle layer, and an outer layer, wherein the middle layer comprises at least 90% by weight high density polyethylene (HDPE) polymer having a density from 0.950 to 0.965 g/cc. The inner layer and the outer layer comprise linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density from 0.925 to 0.965 g/cc. The laminate structure yields desired optical and mechanical properties coupled with recyclability and improved printing efficiency, while maintaining these low thicknesses for the print film.
UNIVERSAL THERMOPLASTIC ADHESIVES FOR MULTILAYER FILMS
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a thermoplastic adhesive composition comprising: at least one maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene-based polymer; at least one at least one ethylene/α-olefin/non-conjugated diene interpolymer having a molecular weight distribution (MWD) ≥2.5, wherein MWD=Mw/Mn, wherein Mw is weight averaged molecular weight and Mn is number averaged molecular weight, which are both determined by gel permeation chromatography; a very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) having a density in the range 0.885 to 0.915 grams/cm.sup.3; and optionally at least one ethylene alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer, wherein the alkyl group comprises one to four carbon atoms.
Flexible packaging having lateral stiffness
A padded mailer includes elongated air cells that provide stiffness, especially in the transverse direction. The increased stiffness helps prevent the mailer from flipping over during conveying, which would put a label on the underside of the mailer.
Honeycomb sandwich sheet or panel, based on polypropylene, with a number of central thermoformed films
A honeycomb sandwich sheet or panel, based on thermoplastic polypropylene, includes a structure having two flat outer films, at the top and bottom, welded to at least two inner or central thermoformed blister films, repeated in a regular and continuous pattern, wherein the at least two inner thermoformed films are welded to each other.
CRUSH RESISTANT PACKAGING MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTIONS
The present disclosure relates to crush resistant packaging materials and/or constructions and to methods of making and using them. Many embodiments provide crush resistance in addition to customizability.
