Vehicular rearview mirror assembly
A vehicular rearview mirror assembly includes an electrochromic reflective element having front and rear glass substrates with an electrochromic medium disposed therebetween. The front glass substrate includes a specularly reflective perimeter layer at least partially around a perimeter border region of the rear side of the front glass substrate. At least one light source is disposed behind the perimeter layer. With the vehicular rearview mirror assembly mounted at the vehicle and when the at least one light source is electrically powered, the at least one light source emits light that passes through the perimeter border region of the second side of the front glass substrate and that is visible to a viewer viewing the first side of the front glass substrate of the electrochromic reflective element at the perimeter layer.
Flexible sound barrier and rigid mounting assembly and mounting method
A flexible sound barrier and rigid mounting assembly, and a method of attaching to a vehicle. The sound barrier assembly includes a rigid substrate, and flexible noise barrier and decoupling layers. The decoupling and noise barrier layers are bonded, and an adhesive bonds the decoupling layer to the substrate. The decoupling and noise barrier layers are fixedly held in place by the substrate. The substrate can include slots that fit over mounting studs on the vehicle wall. The noise barrier and decoupling layers can include mounting holes that extend through both layers, where the mounting holes line up with the slots, and fit over the mounting studs. The assembly can be mounted on the mounting studs and stud fasteners can fit through a mounting hole without compressing the noise barrier and decoupling layers and sandwich the rigid substrate surrounding a slot between the stud fastener and the vehicle wall.
ARTICLE WITH 2D AND 3D FIBER STRUCTURE
An article includes a completed fabric structure that has multiple plies of fiber reinforced fabric. A first portion of the fabric structure has a three-directional fiber reinforced configuration and, exclusive of the first portion, a second portion of the fabric structure having a two-directional fiber reinforced configuration. In the three-directional fiber reinforced configuration there are multiple plies that are bound together via a matrix and a plurality of fibers normal through the multiple plies. In the two-directional fiber reinforced configuration the multiple plies are bound to one another via the matrix and not fibers normal through the multiple plies.
Coating of parts or objects and method for obtaining it
A coating of structures or elements or parts made of plastic material obtained by molding includes a finish layer; a reinforcement layer coupled to the finish layer, from the opposite side to the exposed face, to form a sandwich; and a heat-sealable film coupled in its solid form to the reinforcing layer, wherein this sandwich is suited to be coupled to a support part in a plastic material obtained by molding, and wherein this coupling occurs during the molding of the support part by way of the heat-sealable film suited to be activated at the molding temperature.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL FOR AN AIRBAG COVER
A composite material provided in the form of a sheet material includes at least one textile layer as a cover for an airbag. The cover is arranged to form at least one flap with a hinge which includes a hinge region. One side or both sides of the at least one textile layer includes a plastics coating. A melting point of the plastics coating is lower than a melting point of the at least one textile layer. The hinge region is arranged to form at least one single or double fold along the hinge so that the sheet material contacts itself once or twice. In a region of the at least one single or double fold, areas of the plastics coating are arranged to contact each other and, via a prior introduction of heat or a subsequent introduction of heat, are melted onto each other.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SANDWICH PANEL COMPRISING A REINFORCED FOAM CORE
A method for producing a sandwich panel with a reinforced foam core includes inserting rod-shaped, thermoplastic reinforcing elements into a thermoplastic foam material such that the reinforcing elements extend through the foam material. End regions of the reinforcing elements project out of the foam material. The foam material is thermoformed to form a reinforced foam core, wherein the end regions of the reinforcing elements are integrally formed by applying temperature and pressure to the cover surfaces of the foam material and are bonded to the foam material in a fused connection. A thermoplastic cover layer is laminated on either side by applying temperature and pressure to the reinforced foam core on the cover surfaces of the foam material in order to form the sandwich panel, wherein the cover layers are bonded to the reinforced foam core in a fused connection.
COMPOSITION FOR FORMING ADHESIVE LAYER, ADHESIVE LAYER, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR ADHESIVE LAYER, COMPOSITE MATERIAL, SHEET, HEAT DISSIPATION MEMBER, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, BATTERY, CAPACITOR, AUTOMOBILE COMPONENT, AND MACHINE MECHANISM COMPONENT
The invention relates to a composition for forming an adhesive layer, an adhesive layer, a manufacturing method for the adhesive layer, a composite material, a sheet, a heat dissipation member, an electronic device, a battery, a capacitor, an automobile component and a machine mechanism component, and the composition for forming the adhesive layer contains a polyvinyl acetal resin and a compound having an oxazoline group.
LOW FRICTION MEMBER HAVING SEAWEED-TYPE NANOTUBES AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The present invention relates to a low friction member having seaweed-type nanotubes, the nanotubes which protrude like seaweed on the surface of a base material being concentrated in the moving direction of a sliding member, thereby improving the fluidity of a liquid lubricant, thus enabling the effective reduction of surface friction.
Such present invention comprises: a base material which has a plurality of dimples formed on the surface thereof so as to reduce friction occurring due to the surface contact of a sliding member; a fixing material which is filled inside the dimples; nanotubes which are buried in the fixing material and protrude to the outside by means of the surface processing of the fixing material; and a liquid lubricant which is coated on the surface of the base material, wherein, as the protruding nanotubes become concentrated in the moving direction of the sliding member, the fluidity of the liquid lubricant is improved, thereby enabling the effective reduction of surface friction.
