The invention relates to a drying device (10) for a drying between inking units of a printing machine (1), with which a substrate (2) can be transported via rotating cylinders (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) and is printable with a coloring agent (4), with an air supply unit (11) for supplying of air (5) in direction of the substrate (2) in order to effect a drying of the coloring agent (4), a suction unit (12) for discharging the air (5), a control unit (20), which controls and/or regulates the air supply unit (11) in dependence of the operating parameters (B) in a way that altering drying areas (13.1, 13.2, 13.3) are adjustable at the substrate (2).
FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTER AND BOX-MAKING MACHINE
A flexographic printer is provided with: a printing plate for transferring ink at an ink transfer site to an object to be printed S; an anilox roll for supplying ink to the printing plate at an ink supply site; a plate cylinder on which the printing plate is wound and rotated; and an ink solvent supply unit for supplying a solvent for the ink on the surface of the printing plate in a post-ink transfer region that is downstream of the ink transfer site in the plate cylinder rotation direction and upstream of the ink supply site in the plate cylinder rotation direction.
PRINT AGENT DRYING APPARATUS
A method of drying print agent is disclosed. The method comprises blowing hot air onto an absorbent printable medium that bears water- and/or solvent-based print agent to reduce the viscosity of the print agent and to promote absorption of at least some water and/or solvent in the print agent by the printable medium; and, subsequent to the blowing of hot air, irradiating the printable medium with ultraviolet radiation to dry the unabsorbed portion of print agent on the printable medium. A printer ink drying apparatus and a print apparatus are also disclosed.
Device and method for drying a recording medium with reduced connected load
A drying device includes a storage unit in which energy (e.g. thermal energy) may be stored during a charging phase. The stored energy may be used at the beginning of a subsequent printing phase to warm a drying medium (e.g. air) to dry a recording medium that has been printed to. The maximum required connected electrical load of the drying device is advantageously and efficiently reduced.
GAS IMPINGEMENT DEVICE, RECORDING SUBSTRATE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND PRINTING SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH GAS IMPINGEMENT DEVICE
A gas impingement device includes a first surface including a pattern of a plurality of gas outlets, the pattern including a number of substantially parallel rows of gas outlets, the rows arranged in a direction, which direction is at a skew angle α with a front edge of the first surface of the gas impingement device. A recording substrate treatment apparatus and a printing system including such a gas impingement device and a method of drying a recording substrate by using the gas impingement device are also disclosed.
FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING MACHINE FOR PRINTING A SUBSTRATE WEB
A flexographic printing press for printing a substrate web comprises at least one printing unit and at least one central cylinder. A plurality of printing couples are arranged around the periphery of the at least one central cylinder. A horizontally aligned dryer unit, having at least one guide element, is arranged above the printing unit in a vertical direction. The at least one horizontally aligned dryer unit has at least two dryer sections with one dryer section being arranged separated from the next dryer section by at least one diverting assembly. The at least one flexographic printing press has at least one roll unwinder and at least one roll winder. The at least one roll unwinder and the at least one roll winder are arranged on opposite sides of the at least one central cylinder.
Sheet-fed printing machine for different printing methods
A sheet-fed printing machine comprises two sheet-fed printing units; of which a first is configured as a sheet-fed simultaneous printing unit and has two collector cylinders, which interact with one another and each have an axis of rotation. An axial plane contains the axes of rotation of the collector cylinders. A reference plane contains an axis of rotation of this type and has a horizontal surface normal. An intersection angle between the axial plane and the reference plane is, at a maximum, 45 degrees. A first one of the sheet-fed simultaneous printing units has exactly four plate cylinders, of which exactly two are arranged such that they directly interact with the first collector cylinder and has exactly two others which are arranged such that they directly interact with the second collector cylinder. A second sheet-fed printing unit has at least one impression cylinder and at least one plate cylinder, which is arranged such that it directly interacts with the impression cylinder and which is configured a screen printing plate cylinder, or as a flexo plate cylinder or as a numbering plate cylinder. The two collector cylinders of the first printing unit and the impression cylinder of the second printing unit have the same circumference.
