An image forming apparatus includes a cover portion and an auxiliary tray. The cover portion is displaced between a closing position for closing the supply port and an opening position for opening the supply port. The auxiliary tray is attached to a sheet stack surface of the cover portion, and supports the sheet, together with the cover portion at the opening position. The auxiliary tray is, either in a first attachment state or in a second attachment state, attached to the cover portion. In the first attachment state, a longitudinal direction of the auxiliary tray extends along a width direction that crosses a sheet insertion direction and the auxiliary tray is stored in the sheet stack surface. In the second attachment state, the longitudinal direction extends along the sheet insertion direction, and the auxiliary tray extends out from the cover portion toward an upstream in the sheet insertion direction.

A medium processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a liquid applier, a crimper, a movement assembly, and circuitry. The crimper presses and deforms at least a portion of a plurality of media including a medium to which liquid is applied by the applier, to bind the media. The circuitry causes the assembly to move the applier from a standby position to a position at which the applier faces a liquid application position on the medium before the medium is conveyed to a position at which the liquid is applied; causes the applier to apply the liquid when the medium is conveyed to the position at which the applier faces the liquid application position; causes the assembly to not move the applier to the standby position until application of the liquid to the media ends; and causes the assembly to move the applier to the standby position after the application ends.

A recording apparatus includes a cassette or a feeding tray that is configured to mount a medium thereon, a transport unit that transports the medium mounted on the cassette or the feeding tray, and a recording head that performs recording on the medium. Furthermore, the recording apparatus includes a medium detection device and a deviation amount acquisition section. The medium detection device detects at least one of both side edges in a width direction intersecting a transport direction of the medium that is transported from the cassette or the feeding tray (step S12). The deviation amount acquisition section acquires a deviation amount of the recording head in the width direction of the medium based on at least one side edge detection position detected by the medium detection device (step S13).

A recording apparatus includes a cassette or a feeding tray that is configured to mount a medium thereon, a transport unit that transports the medium mounted on the cassette or the feeding tray, and a recording head that performs recording on the medium.
