RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a recording head, a main carriage movable along a first direction, a sub-carriage held by the main carriage, and a regulating portion which regulates a movement of a recording medium inserted into the recording apparatus in a second direction. The sub-carriage is moved along the first direction in association with a movement of the main carriage, and is movable to a first position and to a second position along the second direction relative to the main carriage. The shortest distance between the regulating portion and discharge ports of the recording head with respect to the second direction when the sub-carriage is in the second position is larger than that when the sub-carriage is in the first position. An operation of removing the recording head from the sub-carriage is performed in a state in which the sub-carriage is in the second position in the second direction.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A configuration which improves workability when performing maintenance. A recording apparatus 100 includes a recording head H, a main carriage 21 movable along a first direction X1, X2, a sub-carriage 22 held by the main carriage 21, and a regulating portion which regulates a movement of a recording medium P inserted into the recording apparatus 100 in a second direction Y1, Y2. The sub-carriage 22 is moved along the first direction in association with a movement of the main carriage 21, and is movable to a first position and to a second position along the second direction relative to the main carriage 21. The shortest distance between the regulating portion and discharge ports of the recording head H with respect to the second direction when the sub-carriage 22 is in the second position is larger than that when the sub-carriage 22 is in the first position. An operation of removing the recording head H from the sub-carriage 22 is performed in a state in which the sub-carriage 22 is in the second position with respect to the second direction.
Ink jet printer provided with movable shuttle
A controller forms an image on a print medium by alternately repeating: a first operation of driving an inkjet head to eject ink from the inkjet head to the print medium while driving a main scanning driver to move the inkjet head in a main scanning direction; and a second operation of driving a sub-scanning driver to move a shuttle in the sub-scanning direction. The controller performs a multi-stage brake control to stop the shuttle in the second operation, and in a second stage and a stage after the second stage of the multi-stage brake control, apply brake to the shuttle at such a timing that a direction of vibration of the shuttle and a direction of force of inertia of the shuttle in braking of the shuttle are opposite to each other.
Printing apparatus, printing speed control method of printing apparatus, printed product of printing apparatus, and printed product generating method of printed product
