DRYING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A drying device includes a heater, a supporter, a controller, and a temperature detector. The heater heats a medium. The supporter is disposed opposite the heater to support the medium. The controller turns on the heater while the medium is conveyed, and turns off the heater when the medium is stopped. The temperature detector detects a temperature of the supporter. The controller is connected to the temperature detector to turn off the heater when the temperature detected with the temperature detector is a predetermined temperature or higher.
Increasing temperatures of printing elements
A print apparatus is disclosed. The print apparatus comprises a plurality of printing elements; and a temperature control unit, controllable by processing circuitry, to increase an operating temperature of a first printing element in the plurality of printing elements by a defined amount relative to an operating temperature of a second printing element in the plurality of printing elements. A method and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.
Liquid circulation device and liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid circulation device includes a liquid chamber that stores a liquid that is to be supplied to a liquid discharge head. A pipeline through which the liquid can be circulated between the liquid chamber and the liquid discharge head is provided. A heater heats the liquid circulating in the pipeline. A first temperature sensor measures the temperature of the heater, and a second temperature sensor measures the temperature of the liquid in the pipeline. A controller controls the heating of the heater based on the liquid temperature measured by the second temperature sensor. The controller also monitors a change in the measured temperature of the heater over time and turns off the heating of the heater when the monitored change satisfies a predetermined stop condition.
Printing apparatus and control method therefor
A method for inspecting an ink discharge status based on a temperature change of an energy generating element includes calculating a difference value between a value obtained by statistics of information indicating ink discharge statuses obtained for a plurality of nozzles close to a target nozzle and the information obtained for the target nozzle; comparing the calculated difference value with a predetermined threshold; and judging the ink discharge status for the target nozzle based on a result of the comparison. This enables to appropriately detect a nozzle which is in a discharge failure status due to an ink droplet adhered to a discharge surface of a printhead or the like.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS AND DETERMINATION METHOD FOR DETERMINING EJECTION STATE
A method is provided for determining, in a liquid ejection apparatus, a state of a liquid ejection from an ejection port. The liquid ejection apparatus includes the ejection port configured to eject a liquid, a substrate comprising an electrothermal conversion element configured to generate heat for ejecting the liquid from the ejection port, and a temperature detection unit configured to detect temperature information on the substrate. The method includes performing a first comparison process to compare the temperature information on the substrate detected at a first timing by the temperature detection unit with a first threshold value, and performing a second comparison process to compare the temperature information on the substrate detected at a second timing by the temperature detection unit with a second threshold value.
Recording device and recording method
A recording device includes a recording head and a control unit. When recording a raster line forming a partial image of a image, using, of a nozzle row, a plurality of OL nozzles in a positional relationship to record a common raster line, the control unit performs recording using the OL nozzles of a first range, in a range of the OL nozzles in a first direction, when a recording condition is a first recording condition, and performs recording using the OL nozzles of a second range narrower than the first range, of the range of the OL nozzles in the first direction, when the recording condition is a second recording condition in which a density difference, in the image, between the partial image and an image other than the partial image is greater than in the first recording condition.
INKJET PRINTER AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet printer that includes an inkjet head in which a plurality of ink flow paths are formed is provided. In this inkjet printer, a plurality of nozzles from which ink is ejected and a plurality of ink flow paths to which the plurality of nozzles 0 are connected are formed in an inkjet head. The inkjet head includes a plurality of ejection energy generation elements that make the plurality of respective nozzles eject ink. Based on an ink flow rate which is a flow rate of ink flowing into each of the plurality of ink flow paths and internal temperature or external temperature of the inkjet head, a controller of the inkjet printer estimates the ink temperature in each of the plurality of ink flow paths, and controls drive voltage applied to the plurality of ejection energy generation elements based on the result of the estimation.
INK JET PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An embodiment of the present invention provides an ink jet printing apparatus including: a print head including a printing element array provided with printing elements each configured to generate thermal energy required to eject an ink, a supply flow channel provided along the printing element array and configured to supply the ink to the respective printing elements, an opening provided to the supply flow channel and configured to cause the ink to flow in, and heating units provided along the supply flow channel and configured to heat the ink inside the supply flow channel; and a heating control unit configured to carry out heating control of the heating units based on a heating pattern determined based on heating intensity distribution, the heating intensity distribution representing heating intensities corresponding to the respective heating units and representing the heating intensities corresponding to positions in a direction of the printing element array.
EMULATING PARAMETERS OF A FLUID EJECTION DIE
An integrated circuit includes thermal tracking logic, control logic, and an output interface. The thermal tracking logic determines a temperature of a fluid ejection die. The control logic defines an emulated parameter of the fluid ejection die as a function of the temperature of the fluid ejection die. The output interface outputs the emulated parameter to a printer system based on the function and the temperature of the fluid ejection die.
LIQUID INJECTION DEVICE AND INKJET RECORDING DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A liquid injection device includes a driving signal correction circuit correcting a reference driving signal based on a temperature detected by a temperature sensor. The driving signal correction circuit includes a first correction circuit that corrects injection pulses excluding a liquid drop injection speed-controlling injection pulse when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is lower than or equal to a predetermined reference temperature, and a second correction circuit that corrects all of the injection pulses when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is higher than the predetermined reference temperature.
