MEMORY, CARTRIDGE, AND PRINTING SYSTEM
A memory stores manufacturing information including at least the number of refills, an electronic signature of the manufacturing information, and a first error-detecting code of the manufacturing information. The number of refills is the number of times that, after consumption of a liquid contained in the cartridge, the cartridge is refilled with the liquid.
LIQUID CONTAINER
The object is to provide a liquid container that can prevent foreign substances from flowing into a liquid ejection apparatus with a simple configuration. The liquid container for containing liquid to be ejected by a liquid ejection apparatus includes: a bag body configured to contain the liquid inside; and a flow path for supplying the liquid contained inside the bag body to the liquid ejection apparatus, wherein, inside a peripheral wall of the flow path, a first capturing unit extending in an anti-gravitational direction and a second capturing unit extending in a gravitational direction are arranged at different positions with respect to a direction in which the liquid flows.
Liquid ejecting device
A supporting section is disposed to confront an ejection surface and supports a recording medium. A first tank is mounted on a first-tank mount section. A liquid conveying section conveys liquid to a liquid ejecting head. A receiving section receives liquid ejected from the liquid ejecting head. A waste-liquid conveying section conveys liquid to the waste-liquid tank. A first casing holds the liquid ejecting head, the first-tank mount section, and the liquid conveying section. A second casing holds the supporting section, the receiving section, the waste-liquid tank, and the waste-liquid conveying section. The first casing is connected with the second casing such that the first casing is movable relative to the second casing. The first casing takes a first position at which the ejection surface confronts the supporting section and a second position at which the ejection surface is farther away from the supporting section than at the first position.
Liquid supplying device having tank and cartridge attachable thereto
A liquid supplying device includes a tank a tank and a cartridge. The cartridge includes a first storage chamber. The cartridge is formed with a communicating opening in communication with the first storage chamber. The tank has a second storage chamber and a joint having a hollow cylindrical shape. In an attachment state where the communicating opening of the cartridge is connected to the joint, the first storage chamber has a portion positioned above the joint and the second storage chamber is positioned below the joint. At least in the first end portion, the liquid passage has a rectangular shape in a cross section taken along a plane perpendicular to an extending direction of the liquid passage.
Pipette-fillable cartridge
A pipette-fillable fluid reservoir body. The fluid reservoir body includes two or more discrete fluid chambers therein. At least one of the fluid chambers contains a pressure compensation device and at least another one of the fluid chambers is devoid of a pressure compensation device. Each of the fluid chambers is in fluid flow communication with a fluid supply via, and each of the fluid chambers have sidewalls and a bottom wall attached to the side walls, wherein the bottom wall slopes toward the fluid supply via. The fluid reservoir body also includes an ejection head support face in fluid flow communication with the fluid chambers for attachment of a fluid ejection device to the ejection head support face for ejecting fluid from the fluid chambers.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE INCLUDING FIXED PLATE MEMBER HAVING LIGHT-SHIELDING REGION AND LIGHT-TRANSMISSIVE REGION
A liquid cartridge includes a case, a liquid supply portion, a circuit board, a residual-amount detecting portion, a base surface, and a plate member. The residual-amount detecting portion includes an optical access portion accessible by light traveling in a left-right direction. The optical access portion has a portion positioned above and away from electrodes of the circuit board by a first distance in an attached posture. The plate member extends frontward from the base surface, and provides a light-shielding region and a light-transmissive region. The light-shielding region is positioned rearward of the electrodes and frontward of the residual-amount detecting portion. The light-transmissive region is positioned rearward of the light-shielding region and frontward of the residual-amount detecting portion. Each of the light-transmissive region and the light-transmissive region has a portion positioned above and away from the electrodes by the first distance in the attached posture.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE INCLUDING PIVOTABLE PLATE MEMBER FOR OPTICAL DETECTION
A liquid cartridge includes: a cartridge case defining a liquid storage chamber; a liquid supply portion provided at the cartridge case; a residual-amount detecting portion configured to change a state of incident light according to an amount of liquid stored in the liquid storage chamber; and a plate member. The residual-amount detecting portion includes an optical access portion accessible by light traveling in a left-right direction in an attached posture of the liquid cartridge. The plate member is positioned above the liquid storage chamber and frontward of the optical access portion in the attached posture. The plate member is pivotable between a first position and a second position about an axis extending in an up-down direction. In the attached posture of the liquid cartridge, the plate member extends in a front-rear direction at the first position, and extends in a direction crossing the front-rear direction at the second position.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE HAVING PLATE MEMBER MOVABLE BETWEEN FIRST POSITION AND SECOND POSITION
A liquid cartridge includes a case, a liquid supplying portion, a circuit board, a plate member, and a residual-amount detecting portion. The plate member is positioned rearward and above electrodes of the circuit board in an attached posture. The residual-amount detecting portion includes an optical access portion configured to receive light traveling in a left-right direction. The plate member is movable between a first position and a second position. At the first position, a portion of the plate member is positioned frontward of the optical access portion and upward of the electrode group. At the second position, a front end of the plate member is positioned closer to the residual-amount detecting portion than at the first position. The plate member at the first position and the residual-amount detecting portion define therebetween in the front-rear direction a light transmissive region whose light transmittance is higher than the plate member.
Liquid container and liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid container is removably mountable into the apparatus body of a liquid ejection apparatus. The liquid container comprises a liquid storage chamber equipped with an air intake hole and a liquid supply port, for storing liquid and a valve unit having a sealing member and an urging member. The urging member is arranged so as to be at least partly rotationally movable and the urging member has urging force for urging the sealing member in the direction of making the sealing member abut the air intake hole. The sealing member is rotationally movable between a position of abutting and closing the air intake hole and a position separated from the air intake hole so as to open the air intake hole in response to a rotary motion of the urging member.
