The electrohydrodynamic print head comprises a plurality of nozzles. Each nozzle has a central nozzle duct laterally surrounded by a nozzle wall. The top end of the nozzle duct communicates with an ink feed duct. An annular trench laterally surrounds the nozzle. An extraction electrode is located around the axis of the nozzle at a level below it, and a shaping electrode located laterally outside the nozzle duct. The shaping electrode is arranged within a ring having a horizontal width of less than the vertical distance between said shaping electrode and the extraction electrode or it is located above the trench. Both these measures allow to operate the device with high voltages with reduced risk of electrical breakdown.

According to one or more embodiments, the inkjet head includes an actuator and a driver. The actuator causes a pressure chamber to expand or contract. The driver applies an ejection pulse to the actuator to eject ink from the pressure chamber. The ejection pulse includes an expansion pulse having a width of 0.75 to 1.25 times a pressure propagation time of the pressure chamber, a rest period after the expansion pulse, and a contraction pulse after the rest period.

Head chip, liquid jet head, and liquid jet recording device

There are provided a head chip and so on capable of improving the print image quality. The head chip according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with an actuator plate having a plurality of ejection grooves and a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzle holes individually communicated with the plurality of ejection grooves. The plurality of ejection grooves is arranged side by side so as to at least partially overlap each other along a predetermined direction. Further, the nozzle holes adjacent to each other along the predetermined direction out of the plurality of nozzle holes are arranged so as to be shifted from each other along an extending direction of the ejection grooves in the nozzle plate.
