LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND LIQUID DISCHARGE METHOD
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a platen to hold a medium; a liquid discharge head to discharge a liquid onto the medium on the platen according to discharge instruction information containing a type of the platen as a designated platen type; an operation panel to display a selection operation screen in which a type of the platen is selectable from the multiple platen types as a selected platen type; and circuitry to: control the operation panel to display the selection operation screen; determine whether the selected platen type matches a first specific platen type; determine whether the designated platen type matches a second specific platen type; control the operation panel to display warning in response to a determination; and control the liquid discharge head to continue to discharge the liquid in response to a determination.
Printing jig and printing apparatus to hold substrates of different sizes
A printing jig includes bases to be fitted to a printing apparatus, a first holder fittable to each of the bases, and a second holder fittable to each of the bases. The first holder is able to hold one or more first substrates. The second holder is able to hold one or more second substrates different in size from the first substrate or substrates. The first holder includes a first fitting portion to be fitted to each of the bases. The second holder includes a second fitting portion to be fitted to each of the bases. Each of the bases is structured such that the first fitting portion and the second fitting portion are both fittable thereto.
SYSTEM FOR PRINTING ON THREE-DIMENSIONAL (3D) OBJECTS
A printing system facilitates the printing of articles of manufacture. The system includes an array of printheads, a support member positioned to be parallel to a plane formed by the array of printheads, a member movably mounted to the support member, an actuator operatively connected to the movably mounted member, an object holder configured to mount to the movably mounted member, and a controller operatively connected to the plurality of printheads and the actuator. The controller is configured to operate the actuator to move the object holder past the array of printheads and to operate the plurality of printheads to eject marking material onto objects held by the object holder as the object holder passes the array of printheads. The support member and printhead array are oriented vertically to enable the printing system to be installed in a vertical cabinet that provides a small footprint in a non-production environment.
PRINTING SYSTEM WITH A PRINTING FLUID COLLECTOR
Certain examples described herein relate to printing systems and methods of operating the same. In an example of a printing system, a porosity determiner determines a porosity of a print medium and a signal generator generates a signal relating to a state of a printing fluid collector based on the porosity determined. In an example of a method of operating a printing system, a pressure measurement is obtained from a vacuum system of the printing system when a print medium is present on a media path of the printing system. This is compared to at least one predefined pressure range and, based on the comparison, an indication is provided setting out a state of a printing fluid collector.
Fluorescent Printing on Fabric for Use as Control Input to Automated Positioning Equipment
A method of using an automated system to position a fabric piece. A pattern is printed onto a fabric piece with fluorescent ink, and detected with a fluorescence-detecting camera, such as a UV camera. The detected pattern is stored in a controller as a pattern signature and compared to a stored target pattern. The results of the comparing step are used to generate control signals for the automated system to move the piece into the position of the target pattern.
Print processing apparatus, heating device, and print processing method
A print processing apparatus, a heating device, and a method of performing a printing process. The print processing apparatus includes a heating device including a heater, the heater performing at least one of contactless heating to heat a fabric in a state where the heater is not in contact with the fabric and contact heating to heat the fabric in a state where the heater is in contact with the fabric, and a memory to store a condition table retaining a condition in which whether the contactless heating is to be performed, whether the contact heating is to be performed, an order in which the contactless heating and the contact heating are performed, and a temperature and a length of time in at least one of the contactless heating and the contact heating to be performed are determined for each kind of the fabric.
Printing apparatus and printing method
A printing apparatus includes a control unit configured to execute image processing including a division and a combination of image data, and a printing unit configured to perform printing on a printing medium based on image data after the image processing, wherein the control unit acquires image data as a target of the n-th image processing, generates an upper image whose lower side is horizontal, and a lower image whose upper side is horizontal by dividing the image data by a horizontal line, generates combined image data whose upper side and lower side are horizontal by combining a lower image whose upper side is horizontal and that is generated by the division in the image processing at the (n−1)-th time, on the upper side of the upper image, and causes the printing unit to execute printing based on the combined image data.
INK-JET TREATMENT LIQUID, INK-JET TEXTILE PRINTING APPARATUS, AND INK-JET TEXTILE PRINTING METHOD
A printed textile includes a base textile and a layer. The base textile includes first and second surfaces. The first surface includes a first area and a second area. The layer is located on the first surface, and contains pigment particles. A first loop height is defined as a largest height of the printed textile when the printed textile is folded with a crease at the first area. A second loop height is defined as a largest height of the printed textile when the printed textile is folded with a crease at the second area. The second loop height is no more than 1.3 times as large as the first loop height.
Processing device and platen
A processing device capable of performing appropriate processing on a set platen, and a platen are provided. A platen that is used in a printer and at least one of a pretreatment device and a post-treatment device is provided with a platen identification information portion that identifies the platen. A code reader receives platen identification information that identifies the platen, from the platen identification information portion. The printer and at least one of the pretreatment device and the post-treatment device perform processing on the basis of the platen identification information received by the code reader.
