A marker is operable for marking an index page to the corresponding page marked by the front portion of physical bookmark device or a solution page corresponding to a problem containing page marked by the front portion of the bookmarker. A counter for counting down or counting up from a predetermined starting value to a user-set or preset timer value. A motion sensor for determining when a user is reading or otherwise engaged with the page. An alarm for alerting or notifying of the preset timer value being reached.

The plurality of the magnets generate a combined magnetic field strength, which is variable depending on positions of the pages on which the magnets are disposed. The sensor senses the combined magnetic field strength and generates a varying signal based on a varying of the combined magnetic field strength when at least one page is moved. The varying signal indicates a position of at least one page in the book.

The anchor has an interior edge conforming to the spline edge of a page and a top edge. The flap has an interior edge extending from a point about the midsection of the top edge of the anchor. The interior edge converges with an outer edge of the flap at an end point even with the midsection of the top edge of anchor. The outer edge is formed with a pronounced curvature, which is necessary to the automatic repositioning of the flap as one page of the book is turned to present the next page. A curved interface between the planar portion of the flap and the top edge of the anchor, which biases the planar portion of the flap in the direction of the anchor.

A pair of upper arms, hingedly secured to the upper end of the spine, and a pair of lower arms, hingedly secured to the lower end of the spine, define a space therebetween. A pair of upper clips are disposed distally on the pair of upper arms and a pair of lower clips are disposed distally on the pair of lower arms. The pair of upper clips and the pair of lower clips are oriented inwardly towards the space between the upper and the lower arms. Each clip of the pair of upper clips and the pair of lower clips has at least one bearing on an internal surface thereof. A light extends from the spine which provides lighting on a piece of reading material secured by the adjustable lighted bookmark.

A bookmark belt structure includes a bookmark belt, a clip member, a hanging member, and a decoration member. The bookmark belt is in the form of an elongated strip. The clip member includes a plate. One end of the plate has a turning portion extending in an opposite direction to form a clip piece. A slit is formed between the clip piece and the plate. One end of the bookmark belt is bound to the clip member. One end of the hanging member is connected to the other end of the bookmark belt. The decoration member is attached to the clip member. Through the aforesaid structure, the clip member may be used to clip the cover page or the inside page of a book so that one end of the bookmark belt is connected with the book to prevent the bookmark belt from being lost or slipping off.
