HAND TOOL WITH CUTTING DEVICE
A hand tool having a squeegee and a retractable blade. The hand tool includes a main case having at least one flat edge. A squeegee is positioned on the flat edge of the main case and a retractable blade is extendable from the main case. The squeegee and retractable blade are incorporated in the single hand tool for use when desired by the user.
CASE UNPACKING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A product unpacking system includes a work surface at a first height and a product unloading position at a second height. An adjustable cutter is positioned adjacent to the work surface and configured to cut a plurality of sides of each case. A case movement device, such as a robot or manual mover, is configured to retrieve a case from a group of cases and move the case to the cutter to cut a plurality of sides of the case. The case movement device may then move the cut case to an unload position over a product container to allow products within the case to drop into the product container. A system of conveyors may be used to convey empty product containers toward the work surface and to convey filled product containers away from the work surface. The system may be automated to receive recipe information for each case to be unloaded and modify parameters of the system based on the case.
Apparatus for opening and printing indicia upon envelopes
An apparatus includes an input bin for receiving a stack of envelopes, a conveyor for conveying each envelope of the stack along an envelope path, and a cartridge retainer adapted for electrical connection to an inkjet cartridge defining a 1M array of inkjet printing nozzles. The apparatus further includes a controller electrically coupled to the cartridge retainer and configured to activate the inkjet cartridge nozzles to deposit ink droplets according to a predetermined duty cycle able to cause printing, on an envelope conveyed at a first feed rate, a first indicium having a density of MN dots per inch, where N is greater than M/2 and less than M. The conveyor, however, conveys envelopes faster than the first feed rate, whereby the first indicium is printed at a density of less than MN dots per inch on a moving envelopes.

CUTTER TOOL
To provide a safe cutter tool for cutting a letter, an envelope, wrapping paper, or the like along a predetermined crease. There is provided a paper cutter, comprising: a main body 1 defined by a guide surface 3 formed for guiding a top crease line of paper; a cutter 6 attached to the main body, wherein a part of the cutter 6 protrudes from the guide surface 3; and a pair of cover pieces attached to the main body 1 so that the cover pieces sandwich and hide the guide surface 3 and the cutter 6, wherein at least one of the cover pieces opens and closes in a direction away from the cutter 6 and a direction towards the cutter 6 along a line parallel to the guide surface 3.
Safety envelope opener with anti-skip feature
An envelope opener features a through slot defining a channel that is closed on three sides around an axis of the slot. A blade projects into the channel from a first closed side thereof to an opposing second closed side thereof, and lies in plane spaced from the closed third side of the channel that lies opposite the mouth. The third side of the channel is angled relative to blade, and the cutting edge slopes away from the first closed side of the channel toward the second closed side, whereby the cutting edge is closer to both the second and third sides of the channel at one end thereof than the other. At the other end, a radiused corner is provided between the third side of the channel and an exterior of the tool. A metal insert lines one or more sides of the channel for an improved wear life.
