FOIL STAMPING APPARATUS
An apparatus for coating a part that has an asymmetrical edge. The apparatus includes a film dispenser, a film retriever, a mandrel; and a part holder. Preferably one or both of the mandrel and the part holder move in an angular relationship to one another, and the film dispenser and the film retriever move co-operatively in at least two dimensions with respect to the part holder. There is further provided a film having a first edge and a second edge, and the film can be a decorative coating, a protective coating or combinations of these. The film dispenser holds the first edge of the film, the film is positioned between the mandrel and the part holder and the film retriever holds the film second edge.
TRANSFER FILM FOR TRANSFERRING COATING MATERIALS TO COMPONENTS
The invention relates to a polymeric film for coating plastics mouldings with a coating material, the polymeric film comprising an adhesion-modified layer and also a layer of the coating material; where the polymeric film together with the adhesion-modified layer and the layer of the coating material is formable at room temperature; where the coating material wholly or partly covers the adhesion-modified layer; and where the adhesion-modified layer has a layer thickness of at least 0.1 μm; and where the adhesion-modified layer is in direct contact with the coating material. The invention further relates to uses of the polymeric film of the invention, to methods for its production and to methods for coating components using the polymeric film of the invention.
DIGITAL HEAT TRANSFER OF AN IMAGE
An applicator for transferring an indicia to a substrate includes an ink layer forming the indicia. A white layer is disposed on the ink layer. An adhesive layer is disposed on the white layer. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere the ink layer and the white layer to the substrate.
TRANSFER PAPER FOR TRANSFERRING IMAGES TO SUBSTRATES
The invention relates to a transfer paper for transferring images onto substrates, comprising a carrier having a wax coating; a layer (A) arranged thereon, containing a wax emulsion, a binding agent, an inorganic crystalline substance, and a pigment; a layer (B) arranged on layer (A), containing an organic polymer, an inorganic crystalline substance, a fixing agent, a copolymer and a pigment; and a layer (C) arranged on layer (B), containing an organic polymer, a binding agent, an inorganic crystalline substance, a wax emulsion, a copolymer and a pigment. The invention also relates to a method for transferring images onto substrates using the transfer paper.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COATED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BONDED STRUCTURE, THERMAL TRANSFER SHEET, AND LAMINATE
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a laminate, including a laminating step of laminating a side of a thermal transfer layer of a thermal transfer sheet having a release sheet and the thermal transfer layer on at least a part of a surface of a resin member by heat bonding, in which the release sheet has a thermal expansion coefficient β of −15%≤β≤+7.5% at a molding temperature Tβ° C. in the laminating step.
IMAGE RECORDING SHEET, IMAGE-DECORATED BODY, AND IMAGE-DECORATED BODY MANUFACTURING METHOD
An image-decorated sheet including: an image recording sheet; and an image layer formed on an image receiving surface of the image recording sheet with toner using an image forming apparatus, in which the image layer is transferred to a body to be decorated to decorate the body to be decorated, an image-decorated body on which an image is formed by the image-decorated sheet, and an image-decorated body manufacturing method.
APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING TRANSFER MEDIUM AND TRANSFER MEDIUM
An apparatus for producing a transfer medium is equipped with: a printing unit that receives image data that represents an image to be printed and prints a print image onto a peelable sheet based on the image data; an adhesive liquid coating unit that coats an adhesive liquid on the peelable sheet on which the print image has been printed; and a control unit that controls the adhesive liquid coating unit such that an adhesive liquid is coated onto a printed image within a transfer region, from between the transfer region to be transferred onto a target medium for transfer and a non-transfer region not to be transferred onto the target medium for transfer, which are included in the printed image.
INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEDIUM, RECORDING MEDIUM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE SHEET, DECORATIVE SHEET, METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATED ARTICLE, AND DECORATED ARTICLE
Provided are an intermediate transfer medium and the like with which a glossy image can be easily formed and which can be used also for a transparent transfer receiving article.
In an intermediate transfer medium comprising at least a substrate and a transfer part provided releasably on one face of the substrate, the transfer part has a layered structure comprising at least an image forming layer that is located on the outermost surface on the opposite side to the substrate and on which an image is to be formed, and a gloss layer that is located closer to the substrate side than the image forming layer, and the transfer part has a maximum transmittance in the wavelength region of 380 nm to 780 nm of 40% or less.
Heat transfer sheet assembly with improved peeling
A heat transfer sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of removing the carrier layer from a facestock layer. The heat transfer sheet assembly may include a heat transfer facestock layer and a carrier layer. The facestock layer may be attached to the carrier layer and include an indicia receptive surface along a side opposite the carrier layer. The carrier layer may include at least one peel line that extends from opposite edges of the assembly wherein the peel line assist to remove the carrier layer from the heat transfer facestock layer once indicia is printed on the facestock layer.
