Furniture with portable conversion means
An article of furniture has retractable and extendable wheels secured beneath each leg. The mechanism for retraction and extension is accomplished by an activation means in mechanical communication with each wheel.
Transport chair arranged for storage in passenger aircraft carry-on luggage
A transport chair of this disclosure includes a frame having a pair of fixed sides and hinged sides, the frame moveable between stowed and deployed states. The frame includes wheel receiving means and armrest and push handle assemblies receiving means with quick connect-disconnect clamps or pins. A bar, which is connectable to, and detachable from, each hinge extends between the pair of hinged sides. When connected to the hinged sides, the bar locks the frame in the deployed state and prevents the frame from moving to the stowed state. The chair may be quickly assembled and then dissembled for storage without the need for tools. When dissembled, the transport chair fits within an envelope 9 inches deep×14 inches wide×22 inches long.
WHEEL, DRIVING WHEEL, AND WHEELCHAIR
Provided is a wheel (6a) in which a disk (62) includes a first rib (62a) extending in a radial direction, and protruding out on one side in a direction of a central axis a1. A hub (61) of the wheel (6a) includes a first blade portion (61d1) extending in the radial direction. At least one of a pair of side surfaces of the first rib (62a) is inclined relative to a plane including the central axis a1 of the disk (62), and the first blade portion (61d1) is fixed to the inclined side surface on one side of the central axis a1.
Spacing bar of a wheelchair frame
A spacing bar of a wheelchair frame comprising an elongated structural body having a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a C-shaped clamp configured for being clamped to respective lateral frame members of the wheelchair frame, wherein the elongated structural body and the C-shaped clamps are integrally made of a monocoque composite construction, and a tightening assembly for each of the C-shaped clamps, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the C-shaped clamps to the respective lateral frame members. A wheelchair frame comprising: a pair of lateral frame members configured to support at least a seat, and front and rear wheel units, the lateral frame members each having an elongated frame portion in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame, and a spacing bar having an elongated structural body and a pair of opposite ends, each of the opposite ends having a connector configured for being clamped to a respective one of the lateral frame member of the wheelchair frame, wherein each of the connectors forms a joint with the respective one of the elongated frame portions constraining the spacing bar to movement of the spacing bar axially along the pair of the elongated frame portion, a tightening assembly for each of the connectors, the tightening assemblies being arranged in the spacing bar to loosen and tighten the connectors to block or allow movement of the spacing bar along the pair of the lateral frame members.
Wheelchair backrest and rear wheel assembly
A system of bracket assemblies for a wheelchair comprises a pair of bracket assemblies adapted to be connected to respective sides of a seat frame of the wheelchair. Each of the bracket assemblies has a base adapted to be secured to a seat frame member of the seat frame, an arm adapted to be secured to a backrest frame member of a backrest frame, and a pivot pivotally connecting the base to the arm for rotational movement of the arm relative to the base. One or more blocking mechanism blocks the rotational movement of the arm relative to the base in a use orientation of the backrest frame. A rod having opposed ends connected to the base of the pair of the bracket assemblies for spacing the bracket assemblies away from one another. A rear wheel unit is also provided.
Wheelchair frame
A tube assembly for a wheelchair frame comprises a tubular member having at least a first portion and a second portion angled relative to the first portion, the first portion configured to be in a seating zone of the wheelchair frame. The second portion is configured to be in a bottom front zone of the wheelchair frame, the tubular member defining a surface concavity in its peripheral surface delimited by a peripheral step, the surface concavity located at a junction between the first portion and the second portion of the tubular member. An interface member has a peripheral contour shaped and sized for the interface member to be received in the surface concavity and contoured at least partially by the peripheral step.
A CASTER WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A caster-wheel assembly (100; 200) for a vehicle, for example a wheelchair or powered wheelchair. The caster-wheel assembly comprises a switch (13) coupled to a housing (3); a castering wheel bracket (9) configured to receive a wheel (10), wherein the bracket is rotatably mounted about a caster pivot axis (28) with respect to the housing; biasing means (15) configured to provide a biasing force such that the wheel bracket is biased away from the housing; and a switch-actuating member (13) coupled to the wheel bracket such that movement of the wheel bracket towards the housing and against the biasing force causes the switch-actuating member to actuate the switch.
Rolling device, especially for furniture, luggage cases and the like
The present utility model refers to a rolling device and, more particularly, an improved multi-directional ball caster-type device having an increased slope, which means a smaller angular slope level, or a more acute inclination angle between the central vertical axis of the device and the surface upon which it rolls. The slope, or inclination angle of the present improved device is from 62 to 50, or less. As the inclinations angle can be more acute, the object supported on the rolling system, e.g. a luggage case, can be more sloped without having friction between the main ball involving structure and the ground.
ELECTRONIC BRAKE-INTEGRATED IN-WHEEL MOTOR DRIVING DEVICE
The present invention relates to an electronic braked-integrated in-wheel motor driving device. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an apparently complicated driving device structure, which is formed due to the installation of a brake, can be avoided, and a product appearance of a wheel-chair, to which the in-wheel motor driving device is applied, can be simplified, whereby the driving device improves the visual appearance as well as the brake function and can thus enhance production competitiveness.
WHEEL WITH MOVABLE ELEMENTS
A wheel includes a supporting frame, with a central portion having a center around which the wheel can turn, and a plurality of radial portions extending from the central portion angularly displaced with each other. A housing seat is delimited between two adjacent radial portions. A movable element is radially displaceable between a first working position located at a maximum distance with respect to the center, and a second working position located at a minimum distance with respect to the center of the central portion. The radial portions and the movable element have respective distal sections, with respect to the center, curved with a curvature radius corresponding to the curvature radius of the wheel and being flush with each other. A locking element is displaceable between one locking position, wherein it abuts on the movable element and prevents the radial displacement thereof, and one unlocking position, wherein it allows the radial displacement of the movable element toward the second working position. A returning element of the movable element between the supporting frame and the movable element is configured to bring the movable element back into the first working position. A band made of an elastically deformable material surrounds the distal sections of the plurality of radial portions and the movable element, at the circular perimeter of the wheel.
