Bearing device for vehicle wheel, and vehicle provided with bearing device for vehicle wheel
A wheel support bearing assembly includes a wheel support bearing and a power unit. The power unit is that of an outer rotor design in which a stator is located at an outer periphery of the wheel support bearing and a rotor is located radially outward of the stator. A radial extension of the entire power unit is sized to be radially inward of a peripheral section of a brake rotor. An entirety of the power unit, excluding a mount part thereof to a hub flange, is sized to be situated in an axial range between the hub flange and a mount surface, on an inboard side of the wheel support bearing. The rotor includes an outer shell magnetic body, which is made from soft magnetic material and forms an outer shell of the power unit, and permanent magnets that are provided to the outer shell magnetic body.
WHEEL AND VEHICLE
A wheel and a vehicle each having a simple structure and capable of moving over a step while maintaining stability at flat ground traveling are provided. A wheel includes an outer ring that rotates about a wheel rotational axis, an arm drive gear that rotates independently from the outer ring about the wheel rotational axis, and an arm capable of rotating about an arm rotational axis fixed to the outer ring, the arm being configured to partially protrude outside from an outer peripheral surface of the outer ring in a radial direction as the arm drive gear rotates relative to the outer ring in one direction (normal rotational direction) and to be housed inside in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the outer ring as the arm drive gear rotates relative to the outer ring in the other direction (reverse rotational direction) opposite to the one direction.
DRIVING WHEEL AND DRIVE UNIT INCLUDING THE SAME
A driving wheel includes: a hub body disposed in a central region of the driving wheel; a plurality of spoke members inserted into the hub body and movable in a radial direction R of the driving wheel relative to the hub body; and link members each having one side coupled to one of the spoke members and the other side coupled to another spoke member disposed adjacent to the spoke member to which the one side of the link member is coupled. In particular, when the spoke members move in the radial direction R, the link members are rotatable about regions coupled to the spoke members.
Retractable guard assemblies
Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a retractable guard assembly coupled to a caster of a mobile equipment, comprising one or more first guards comprising corresponding one or more guard toeholds and one or more second guards. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully retracted state, fully compressing any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards to transition into a fully deployed state. When the one or more first guards and the one or more second guards are in a fully deployed state, fully lifting any one of the one or more guard toeholds causes the one or more first guards and one or more second guards to transition into the fully retracted state.
WHEEL DEVICE AND MOBILE ROBOT DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
A wheel device includes: a wheel member; a tire disposed on the outside of the wheel member, the tire comprising an inner layer, an outer layer, and a plurality of hollow pipes disposed between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein an inner circumferential surface of the inner layer comprises grooves; a plurality of support members each having a circular arc shape; and a plurality of spoke members respectively connecting the wheel member to the plurality of support members. The plurality of spoke members are configured to move the plurality of support members between a first position and a second position. In the first position, each of the support members are disposed in the grooves. In the second position, each of the support members are disposed closer to a central axis of the tire than when the support members are in the first position.
Caster device, robot having the same, and method for driving robot
A caster device includes a caster wheel configured to rotate around a horizontal rotation axis; and a case configured to expose a lower surface of the caster wheel, cover the caster wheel and have an inclined surface from a top of the horizontal rotation axis toward a bottom of the horizontal rotation axis.
Driving wheel and mobility vehicle including same
A driving wheel includes: a first disc provided to be rotatable with respect to a rotary shaft; a second disc provided to be rotatable with respect to the rotary shaft; a plurality of spokes each protruding outward and each having a first side rotatably coupled to the first disc and a second side rotatably coupled to the second disc; a first motor to rotate the first disc; and a second motor to rotate the second disc.
All-Terrain Load Transport System
An all-terrain load transport system including a cylindrical first base member and at least three pairs of arms is provided. A handle is removably attached to an attachment member disposed on the cylindrical first base member. The cylindrical first base member defines a space for receiving at least one piece of accessory equipment. Each pair of the three pairs of arms defines a wheel support assembly at an end of each pair distal from an outer periphery of the cylindrical first base member. The three pairs of arms are detachably attached to the outer periphery of the cylindrical first base member. The wheel support assembly includes a cylindrical second base member defining a space for receiving a spherical wheel. The spherical wheel moves omnidirectionally within the defined space. Roller bearings positioned along an inner periphery of the cylindrical second base member facilitate the omnidirectional movement of the spherical wheel.
EXPANDABLE WHEEL
An expandable wheel (100) assembly attached to a vehicle includes a circular rim disc (200) operable to receive a plurality of drive members (300) about its circumference. The drive members (300) are pivotally connected to the rim disc (200) and expand outward from the rim disc (200) via sliding levers (500) when a rotational force is applied to the rim disc (200). As a result, the drive members (300) increase the ground clearance and enhance the ability for the vehicle to negotiate variable terrain while also increasing the top velocity of the vehicle. The expandable wheel (100) assembly contracts to a circumferential closed position when the rotational force is removed.
Caster wheel assembly for an outdoor power equipment machine
A caster wheel assembly for an outdoor power equipment machine includes a wheel mount and provides a double bell-shaped caster wheel including two bell-shaped halves, each bell-shaped half includes a central hub, a smooth transition portion, an outer circumferential rim, and a planar face. A ground contacting tread can be provided by the outer circumferential rims. A ground contacting tread can be provided by a resilient tread ring positioned between the two bell-shaped halves.
