A pneumatic tire of the present disclosure includes, on a tread surface, circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and land portions defined between circumferential main grooves adjacent in a tire width direction among the circumferential main grooves or by the circumferential main grooves and tread edges. The land portions include widthwise grooves extending in the tire width direction and are divided into blocks by the widthwise grooves. At least one widthwise sipe extending in the tire width direction is included within the blocks. Hard rubber with a higher elastic modulus than that of tread rubber is disposed in a tire radial region including at least an opening to the tread surface of a wall defining the widthwise sipe. Microfabrication is applied in a region of the tread surface surrounding at least a portion of the opening of the widthwise sipe to the tread surface.

A wheel assembly may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, and an outer rim surrounding the hub. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim to provide a gas suspension permitting relative movement between the inner rim and the outer rim. The wheel assembly may also include tread assemblies carried by the outer rim. Each tread assembly may include a tread member support coupled to the outer rim, and spaced-apart tread members carried by the tread member support and defining a tread pattern therebetween. Each tread member may include at least one rubber layer, and at least one reinforcing layer in stacked relation.

Tire comprising a tread having grooves with undercut side faces and reinforcing elements

A tire has a tread 5 which includes grooves 7, the side faces 72 of which are undercut, and includes at least one circumferential reinforcing element 8-1 arranged axially relative to said undercut side face 72 at a distance “d” of between 0 and 15% of the axial width L51 of the tread block 51, at least extending radially from the inside towards the outside from a radial level situated above the wear limit level and to a radial height equal to 5% of the thickness “p” of the tread.

A motorcycle tire comprises a carcass having a bias structure, a band comprising a jointiess ply, and a tread rubber disposed on the radially outside of the band. The loss tangent of the tread rubber at a temperature of 0 deg C. is larger in a tread crown region than in tread shoulder regions. The carcass comprises an outer carcass ply of carcass cords. The angles of the carcass cords with respect to the tire circumferential direction are smaller in the tread crown region than in the tread shoulder regions.

Truck tire with tread design for reducing abnormal wear

A heavy truck tire is provided that includes a casing with a central axis, and a rubber tread that has a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is located farther from the central axis in a radial direction than the second layer. The first layer has a lower max tan(δ) than a max tan(δ) of the second layer. The max tan(δ) of the first layer is from 0.06-0.15, and the max tan(δ) of the second layer is from 0.12-0.27. The tire also has a sculptural feature that reduces irregular wear.

A tyre T for adaptively adjusting to the tyre's rolling conditions, the tyre T comprising first and second side walls (1, 2) with a contact wall (3) extending therebetween and a heater 7 for heating one or more of the first side wall (1), second side wall (2) and contact wall (3), wherein plural chambers (4, 5, 6) are defined within the tyre T, at least one of the plural chambers (4, 6) being selectively inflatable for altering the external shape of the first side wall (1), second side wall (2) and/or contact wall (3).

Pneumatic tire

Provided is a pneumatic tire with a surface provided with a reflective layer that reflects light, the reflective layer including a transparent globule group composed of transparent globules. At least some of the transparent globules are each configured to reflect incident light incident into the transparent globule from outside, at an interface with the outside of the transparent globule, and to emit the light to the outside of the transparent globule as reflected light. The transparent globules are each configured to cause the reflected light to include more amount of non-retroreflected light than retroreflected light, the non-retroreflected light moving further away from an optical path of the incident light according to a distance from the transparent globules, being increased. The transparent globules each have an optical path of the non-retroreflected light with an angle difference of from 2.0 degrees to 2.5 degrees from the optical path of the incident light.

In the tread of the tire, the average modulus value in a center region including the equatorial plane of the tire is higher than the average modulus value in shoulder regions adjacent to edges of the tread, and in the shoulder regions, the modulus value is higher in a surface layer of the tread than in a portion other than the surface layer.

TIRE

A tread of a tire can include a cap layer and a base layer. A loss tangent of the cap layer at 30° C. may be not greater than 0.30, and a loss tangent of the base layer at 30° C. may be less than the loss tangent of the cap layer at 30° C. The base layer can be inward of a reference end of the tread in an axial direction A fixing layer can be between the cap layer and a carcass in a radial direction. A first end of the fixing layer can be outward of an end of the base layer in the axial direction, or a position of the first end of the fixing layer can coincide with a position of the end of the base layer in the axial direction. Adhesiveness of the fixing layer can be higher than adhesiveness of the cap layer.

AIRCRAFT TIRE WITH ZONED TREAD

The invention provides a pneumatic tire having a tire tread with a ground engaging outer surface. The tread further has a first or central tread zone located on the central or crown portion of the tread and formed of a first rubber compound. Additionally, the tread has a second or shoulder tread zone located axially outward of the first or central tread zone on each lateral end of the tread.
