The first crown sipe, the first middle sipe and the first shoulder sipe are respectively configured as arc shapes having radiuses R1, R2 and R3 of curvature to protrude in a first circumferential direction side, wherein the radiuses R1, R2 and R3 are satisfied the following relation: R1<=R2<=R3, and R1<R3.
TRUCK TIRE TREAD WITH DECOUPLING VOID AND ASSOCIATED DECOUPLING VOID SIPE
A tread for a heavy truck tire is provided that has a bottom surface (14), a shoulder rib (16), and a sacrificial rib (20) located outboard from the shoulder rib (16) in a width direction. A decoupling void (30) is located between the shoulder rib (16) and the sacrificial rib (20). First decoupling void sipes (32), second decoupling void sipes (100) and third decoupling void sipes (104) are in the shoulder rib (16), and one second decoupling void sipe (100) is between one first decoupling void sipe (32) and one third decoupling void sipe (104). The first and third decoupling void sipes (32, 104) are closer to the bottom surface (14) than is the decoupling void (30) in the thickness direction. The second decoupling void sipe (100) is not closer to the bottom surface (14) than is the decoupling void (30) to the bottom surface (14) in the thickness direction.
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire, a sipe includes an edge on a leading side and an edge on a trailing side; the edge and the edge each include a chamfered portion shorter than a sipe length of the sipe; a non-chamfered region in which other chamfered portions are not present is provided at portions facing the chamfered portions of the sipe; and for all chamfered portions, including at least the chamfered portions of the sipe, formed on grooves other than main grooves, with a ground contact width being equally divided into three in the tire lateral direction, a total projected area A.sub.CE of chamfered portions provided in a center region centrally located in the tire lateral direction and each of total projected areas A.sub.SH of chamfered portions provided in shoulder regions located on either side of the center region satisfy a relationship A.sub.CE<A.sub.SH.
Tire Tread for a Heavy Vehicle with an Improved Resistance to Stresses
A tread for a tire for a heavy-duty vehicle for mixed use and aims to improve the endurance of the crown of the tire following retention of stones in the tread. The tread (1) has voids (3) with a first, radially outer void portion (31) of groove type, having a width W11 on the tread surface (2), a width W12 at a groove bottom (311), and a depth H1, and a second, radially inner void portion (32) of sipe type, having a width W2 and a depth H2 and leading into the groove bottom (311) at a distance E with respect to the mean surface (S1) of the groove (31). The distance E is at least equal to the width W12 of the groove bottom (311) divided by 6.
