Adapter for a rolling assembly and rolling assembly comprising same
An adapter for a rolling assembly having an axis of rotation (YY′) includes an axially inner end connected to a rim, an axially outer end including an outer reinforcing element and intended to come into contact, via a substantially radial axially inner face, or bearing face, with a bead, a body connecting the axially outer end to the axially inner end so as to form a single piece, including at least one main reinforcement providing the connection between the outer reinforcing element and the inner reinforcing element, and including a substantially axial adapter seat intended to come into contact with a bead. The outer reinforcing element (15) is completely axially on the outside of the bearing face (21), and the outer reinforcing element (15) is a substantially annular structure, referred to as a bead wire, of substantially polygonal section, including at least two first layers of composite and/or metallic material, and at least two second layers of rubber compound, the first and second layers being arranged mutually parallel and in alternation with each other and parallel to the axis YY′.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tire 2 includes a pair of beads 12 and a carcass 14. A core 28 of each bead 12 includes a body 34 having a hexagonal cross-section, and a cover 36 covering the body 34. The cover 36 is wrapped around the body 34, and the number of turns the cover 36 is wrapped around the body 34 is greater than or equal to one and smaller than two. The cover 36 includes a plain weave fabric obtained by interlacing warp threads 72 and weft threads 74. The warp threads 72 and the weft threads 74 intersect. An angle of the intersection is greater than or equal to 45° and not greater than 125°. The warp threads 72 are inclined relative to a carcass cord 70. An angle of the inclination is greater than or equal to 22.5° and not greater than 67.5°.
Rolling Assembly
Adapter for a rolling assembly comprising a tire, and a rim having two rim seats and two rim flanges. The adapter has an axially inner end mounted on the rim seat and comprises an inner reinforcing element, an axially outer end that comprises an outer reinforcing element, a body that connects the two ends to form a single piece. A substantially cylindrical adapter seat is configured to receive a bead, and is situated at the axially outer end of the body. An adapter bearing face is substantially contained in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis, and situated on the axially inner face of the axially outer end. The reinforcing element of the axially outer end is entirely situated axially outside the bearing face. The body comprises, opposite the adapter seat, an annular seat reinforcer. The inner wall of the tire is covered by a layer of a self-sealing composition.
Adapter for a wheeled assembly and a wheeled assembly comprising same
An adapter, for a rolling assembly having an axis of rotation and comprising a tyre (P) having two beads (B), and a rim (J), provides the connection between one of the beads (B) and the rim (J), the said rim having two rim seats (7), the said adapter having an axially inner end (10) intended to be mounted on the rim seat (7) and comprising an inner reinforcing element (16), the said reinforcing element (16) having a centre C.sub.2, an axially outer end (9) comprising an outer reinforcing element (15), the said reinforcing element (15) having a centre C.sub.1, a body (11) that connects the said outer end (9) to the said inner end (10) so as to form a single piece and comprises at least one main reinforcement that provides the connection between the said outer reinforcer and the said inner reinforcer, and comprises a first end (17A) and a second end (17B), a substantially cylindrical adapter seat (18) intended to receive one of the said beads (B), the said seat (18) being situated at the axially outer end (9) of the said body (11), an adapter bearing face (21) substantially contained in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation, the said bearing face being situated on the axially inner face of the axially outer end (9), and an overall length L and a length LT measured between the centres C.sub.1 and C.sub.2. The first end (17A) and the second end (17B) of the reinforcement are arranged one upon the other so as to form an overlap.
Reinforced bicycle rim
A bicycle rim assembly includes a rim defining a central plane and comprising annular inner and outer walls. The outer wall includes first and second bead seats separated by a center well. First and second annular projections are spaced laterally from each other relative to the central plane and extend substantially radially outwardly from the outer wall. Each of the annular projections includes a radially outer face and a laterally inner face. Right and left covers are spaced from each other and are preferably coupled to the rim to cover at least a portion of the laterally inner face and the radially outer face of the first and second annular projections, respectively, and also the first and second bead seats, respectively. One or both of the right and left covers can be fiber reinforced. First and second pieces of tape can be overlapped and used to secure the covers to the rim.
Pneumatic tire

ADAPTER FOR A WHEELED ASSEMBLY AND A WHEELED ASSEMBLY COMPRISING SAME
An adapter, for a rolling assembly having an axis of rotation and comprising a tyre (P) having two beads (B), and a rim (J), provides the connection between one of the beads (B) and the rim (J), the said rim having two rim seats (7), the said adapter having an axially inner end (10) intended to be mounted on the rim seat (7) and comprising an inner reinforcing element (16), the said reinforcing element (16) having a centre C.sub.2, an axially outer end (9) comprising an outer reinforcing element (15), the said reinforcing element (15) having a centre C.sub.1, a body (11) that connects the said outer end (9) to the said inner end (10) so as to form a single piece and comprises at least one main reinforcement that provides the connection between the said outer reinforcer and the said inner reinforcer, and comprises a first end (17A) and a second end (17B), a substantially cylindrical adapter seat (18) intended to receive one of the said beads (B), the said seat (18) being situated at the axially outer end (9) of the said body (11), an adapter bearing face (21) substantially contained in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation, the said bearing face being situated on the axially inner face of the axially outer end (9), and an overall length L and a length LT measured between the centres C.sub.1 and C.sub.2. The first end (17A) and the second end (17B) of the reinforcement are arranged one upon the other so as to form an overlap.
REINFORCED BICYCLE RIM
A bicycle rim assembly includes a rim defining a central plane and comprising annular inner and outer walls. The outer wall includes first and second bead seats separated by a center well. First and second annular projections are spaced laterally from each other relative to the central plane and extend substantially radially outwardly from the outer wall. Each of the annular projections includes a radially outer face and a laterally inner face. Right and left covers are spaced from each other and are preferably coupled to the rim to cover at least a portion of the laterally inner face and the radially outer face of the first and second annular projections, respectively, and also the first and second bead seats, respectively. One or both of the right and left covers can be fiber reinforced. First and second pieces of tape can be overlapped and used to secure the covers to the rim.
Rolling assembly comprising a tire, a rim and an adapter
Adapter coupled between a tire bead and a rim, and having an axially inner end mounted on the rim seat. The adapter comprises an inner reinforcer, an axially outer end that comprises an outer reinforcer, and a body that connects the outer and inner ends to form a single piece and comprises one main reinforcement that connects the outer and inner reinforcers. Substantially cylindrical adapter seat receives one of the tire beads, the seat being situated at the axially outer end of the body. An adapter bearing face is substantially contained in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the tire/rim rolling assembly, the bearing face being situated on the axially inner face of the axially outer end. The reinforcing element of the axially outer end is axially situated entirely on the outside of the bearing face. The body comprises, facing the adapter seat, an annular seat reinforcement.
