The present invention relates to a tyre for bicycle wheels comprising a tread band containing an anti-puncture system capable of offering high resistance to the penetration of foreign bodies. In particular, the present invention relates to a tyre (100) for bicycle wheels comprising: —a carcass structure (2); and —a tread band (7) arranged in a radially outer position with respect to said carcass structure (2); characterised in that said tread band (7) is made by vulcanisation of a vulcanisable elastomeric compound comprising fibrillated polymeric fibres of micrometric dimensions, wherein at least one protective layer (6, 11) is interposed between said carcass structure (2) and said tread band (7), said protective layer (6, 11) comprising (i) a plurality of reinforcing cords of textile material oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 30°, (ii) a square fabric with textile fibres of the weft or warp oriented with respect to the equatorial plane of the tyre with an angle greater than 20°, or (iii) a non-woven fabric with randomly oriented textile fibres.
BICYCLE-TIRE REINFORCING PLY AND BICYCLE TIRE
A bicycle-tire reinforcing ply comprising a woven fabric that comprises liquid crystalline polyester fiber yarns, wherein each of the fiber yarns comprises three or more single fibers having an average fiber diameter of 25 μm or larger, and the fiber yarns satisfies the following formula:
[No. of single fibers per fiber yarn]×[average fiber diameter (μm)]≤1700.
FABRIC STRUCTURE FOR A TIRE
A tire includes a carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass ply, a belt structure having an overall axial width substantially equal to a tread width interposed between the tread and the crown region in circumferential surrounding relation to the carcass ply, and a fabric layer including a plurality of warp cords and a plurality of weft cords extending transversely over and under each of the warp cords, each warp cord being a monofilament, each weft cord being a flat textured multifilament.
Tire assembly comprising a breakable structure and a supporting structure
The assembly (24) comprises: a first structure (10) extending in a first overall direction (G1), a second structure (12), and a bearing structure (30) comprising filamentary bearing elements (32) comprising at least one filamentary bearing portion (74) extending between the first structure (10) and the second structure (12), the first structure (10) being arranged such that, for a length at rest L of the first structure (10) in the first overall direction (G1), the elongation at maximum force Art of the first structure in the first overall direction (G1) satisfies: Art≤(2π×H)/L, in which H0×K≤H where H0 is the mean straight-line distance between an internal face (42) of the first structure (10) and an internal face (46) of the second structure (12) when each filamentary bearing portion (74) is at rest, and K=0.50.
RUBBER REINFORCING MATERIAL WITH REDUCED WEIGHT, METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME, AND TIRE COMPRISING THE SAME
This invention relates to rubber reinforcing material with reduced weight, a method for preparing the same, and a tire including the same. According to this invention, there is provided a rubber reinforcing material that has a thin thickness and light weight, and yet has excellent durability. The reinforcing material not only reduces the weight of a tire, but also enables realization of improved rolling resistance.
NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE INCLUDING REINFORCING STRUCTURE PART
Proposed is a non-pneumatic tire including: a tread part having an outer circumferential surface at which a bent pattern is formed; at least one reinforcing structure part that is positioned between the outer circumferential surface of the tread part and an inner circumferential surface of the tread part so as to be inserted inside the tread part; a spoke part that is formed radially around a center of the tread part and is coupled to an inner surface of the tread part; and a rim part that has a diameter smaller than a diameter of an inner circumferential surface of the spoke part and has an outer circumferential surface which is coupled to the spoke part. The reinforcing structure part has a plain weave shape surrounded by an elastomer and is wound in a circumferential direction of the tread part.
SHEAR BAND
A shear band for a tire includes a first fabric layer extending circumferentially around the tire, a second fabric layer extending circumferentially around the tire, and a spacer layer radially interposed between the first fabric layer and the second fabric layer. The first fabric layer and the second fabric layer each consist of multifilament yarns. The spacer layer consists of monofilament yarns.
Assembly for tire including impregnated woven or knitted fabric(s) and a sacrificial holder
A tire assembly includes an assemblage formed of first and second impregnated woven or knitted structures, a bearing structure, and at least one sacrificial holder. The first impregnated woven or knitted structure includes a first woven or knitted fabric and a first layer of a first polymeric composition. The second impregnated woven or knitted structure includes a second woven or knitted fabric and a second layer of a second polymeric composition. The bearing structure includes bearing elements connecting the first and second woven or knitted fabrics together. Each sacrificial holder is structured to hold temporarily the first and second impregnated structures in contact with each other, connecting the first and second woven or knitted fabrics together. When the first and second impregnated woven or knitted structures are separated from each other, each sacrificial holder breaks before any breakage of the bearing elements.
