The crown reinforcement (3) of the tire (1), radially on the inside of a tread (2), comprises a protective reinforcement (6), a working reinforcement (5) and a hooping reinforcement (7). Said hooping reinforcement (7) has an axial width at most equal to the smallest axial width (L61, L62) of the two working layers (61, 62), and comprises at least two hooping layers (71, 72) that are formed from strips each made up of elastic metal reinforcers. Each hooping layer (71, 72) is made up of an axial juxtaposition of contiguous turns of the strip (8), which are circumferentially wound around the working layer (51). Each strip (8) is at least 35 mm and at most 250 mm thick, and its distributed breaking tension is at least equal to 100 daN/mm.

Crown reinforcement for a tire of a tractor-type agricultural vehicle

A tire (1) for an agricultural vehicle comprises a working reinforcement (2), radially on the inside of a tread (3) and radially on the outside of a carcass reinforcement (4), the working reinforcement (2) comprising a multilayer component made up of a radial stack of at least two working layers (21, 22), and aims to improve the endurance thereof. The working reinforcement (2) is made up of a circumferential spiral winding of at least one turn of the multilayer component, the first and second circumferential ends (211, 221; 212, 222) of each working layer (21, 22) are circumferentially offset from one another, and the respective first circumferential ends (211, 221) of two consecutive working layers (21, 22) are likewise circumferentially offset from one another.

The carcass cords have an elongation at break (EB) satisfying EB≥15%. A portion of a belt layer located in a width range of 10% of a width of a second widest belt in the belt layer on each of a left side and a right side of a tire equator line in a tire width direction has a belt angle (θc) satisfying 0.349 rad≤θc≤0.56 rad. The elongation at break (EB) of the carcass cords and the belt angle (θc) satisfy 800<1140×θc+20×EB<1400.

The first radial distance L1 between the belt cords of the third belt ply and the belt cords of the fourth belt ply is not more than the second radial distance L2 between the belt cords of the second belt ply and the belt cords of the third belt ply. The cord count E4 of the fourth belt ply is smaller than the cord count E3 of the third belt ply.

The crown circumferential groove 11 is a narrow groove and each of the shoulder circumferential grooves is a wide groove. The belt layer includes metal belt cords inclined with respect to a tire circumferential direction. The belt layer has outer ends each positioned outside a respective one of the shoulder circumferential grooves in a tire axial direction. A belt half width is 55% or more and 85% or less of a carcass half width.

Tire with improved handling performance and speed durability

Embodiments of the disclosure include a pneumatic tire having improved high speed limits while generally maintaining wear, traction, and handling performance. Said tires include a cap ply extending substantially across a full width of at least one of the belt plies and being arranged at least partially within each shoulder, the cap ply forming a layer of elastomeric material reinforced with a plurality of elongate reinforcements spaced apart in an array, the cap ply being characterized as having a rupture force greater than 210 N per 15 mm of the cap ply width. In each shoulder area of said tires, the tread is characterized as being flatter and having a greater tread thickness.

WRAPAROUND STRUCTURE FOR A BELT PACKAGE OF A TIRE

A tire includes a carcass ply and a belt structure disposed radially outward of the carcass ply in a crown portion of the tire. The belt structure includes a first belt ply, a second belt ply radially adjacent the first belt ply, an overlay ply radially adjacent the first belt ply, a first wrap around strip encompassing both axial edges of the first belt ply, and a second wrap around strip encompassing both axial edges of the second belt ply. The overlay ply may have an axial width less than both a maximum axial width of the first belt ply and a maximum axial width of the second belt ply.
