Tire Having a Crown Reinforcement Made up of Two Working Crown Layers and Optimized Sidewalls
A tire having a radial carcass reinforcement, made up of a single layer of reinforcing elements anchored in each of the beads by being turned up around a bead wire, reinforced by a stiffener. The two working crown layers are the only ones present to form the crown reinforcement over at least 75% of the width of the tread, the absolute value of the difference between the absolute values of the angles α2 and α1 being greater than 8°, α2 being greater than α1 in terms of absolute value, the mean angle α satisfying the relationship 13+131*exp(−L/100)<α<20+164*exp(−L/100), the reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement being cords which, in the test referred to as the permeability test, yield a flow rate of less than 20 cm.sup.3/min, a rubber compound being present within the cords, and, in the sidewall of the tire, the profile of the outer surface of the tire is at a constant distance from the carcass reinforcement layer between the points F and A, and meets the outer surface of the bead at the point C, forming two successive circular arcs.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire according to the present disclosure includes a ply including a plurality of cords arranged in parallel to each other, a cover rubber covering the ply and configuring a tire outer surface, and a reinforcement layer that, at a position of a cut edge of the ply, covers the cut edge of the ply on one side or both sides in a ply thickness direction. The reinforcement layer is configured by a non-woven fabric comprising metal fibers or a rubber sheet material having metal fibers embedded therein.
Crown For Aircraft Tire
Tire for an aeroplane and, in particular, the crown thereof which comprises a tread (1), a textile crown reinforcement (2) and a textile carcass reinforcement (4). In order to optimize the number of landings, in the equatorial plane, the thickness (E1) of the tread is at least equal to 1.1 times the thickness of the working reinforcement and the thickness (E5) of the carcass is at least equal to 1.5 times the thickness (E3) of the working reinforcement, the reinforcing elements of the working layers (31, 32, 33) having a tenacity at least equal to 90 cN/tex.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a tire 2 according to the present invention, belt cords 42 included in a belt 22 each include a twisted string obtained by twisting together four filaments 46. Each belt cord 42 has an elliptical cross-section. On the cross-section, the ratio of the length of the minor axis to the length of the major axis is greater than or equal to 0.67 and not greater than 0.94. A first filament 46a and a third filament 46c are disposed along the minor axis. The first filament 46a and the third filament 46c are each in contact with a second filament 46b and a fourth filament 46d, or the first filament 46a is in contact with the third filament 46c.
Reinforcing ply for articles consisting of an elastomeric material, and vehicle pneumatic tires
A rubberized reinforcing ply (1) for articles consisting of an elastomeric material, preferably for vehicle tires, wherein the reinforcing ply (1) has a multiplicity of textile strengthening members (2) which are arranged parallel to and spaced apart from one another, wherein each textile strengthening member (2) is composed of at least one twisted multifilament yarn, and wherein the textile strengthening member (2) is not composed of the material rayon. The reinforcing ply (1) satisfies the following condition: (D.sup.2/E.sub.0) in mm corresponds to a value in a range from 0.22 mm to 0.38 mm, and the reinforcing ply (1) has a strength of >10 kN/dm, where D is the diameter of the textile strengthening member (2) in mm and lies in a range from 0.38 mm to 0.52 mm, and where E.sub.0=100/epdm.
TIRE SET AND TRICYCLE
A tire set for a tricycle having one first wheel and two second wheels includes one first tire to be mounted on the first wheel and two second tires to be mounted on the second wheels. Each of the second tires has a cornering power of 50% or more and less than 100% of a cornering power of the first tire.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
An outermost end of a carcass folded-up portion is located in a tire width direction inside than an end in the tire width direction of the outermost inclined belt layer, in the tire radial direction between a carcass main body portion and the innermost inclined belt layer. A carcass cord in the folded-up portion located on the outermost side of the tire and a belt cord of the outermost inclined belt layer cross each other to be inclined in the same direction in a tire circumferential direction as being from one side toward the other side in the tire width direction, a difference in inclination angle is 30° or less, a width of the outermost inclined belt layer is larger than that of the innermost inclined belt layer, and in-plane rigidity per unit width of the innermost inclined belt layer is higher than that of the outermost inclined belt layer.
Tire with specified belt layers of 1X4 steel cords
A plurality of belt layers 7 are superimposed in a radial direction. The belt layers 7 include a plurality of steel cords 10 arranged in parallel in a row and rubber 11. The steel cords 10 have a 1×4 structure in which four filaments 20 are twisted, and when a center-to-center distance between the steel cords 10 in at least two of the belt layers 7 adjacent in the radial direction is T, and an average diameter of virtual circumscribed circles of the steel cords 10 having the 1×4 structure is D, 1.25≤T/D≤2.25.
TRUCK TIRE
A pneumatic tire for use on trucks, the tire comprising: a tread which includes a belt reinforcement structure, the belt structure including a pair of working belts, wherein the angle of the working belts range from about 10 degrees to about 50 degrees, and wherein the first working belt has an angle of the reinforcements different that the angle of the belt reinforcements of the second working belt. The belt package further includes a low angle belt that is preferably positioned between of the working belts, wherein the angle of the low angle belt is less than 5 degrees. The working belts and the low angle belt are extensible, and preferably made of high elongation wire. The pneumatic tire further includes a top protector belt made of high impact resistant steel reinforcements.
Tire for vehicle of construction plant type
The tire for a construction plant vehicle includes a tread and a crown reinforcement arranged radially internal to the tread. The crown reinforcement includes a protective reinforcement, a working reinforcement, and a hoop reinforcement. The protective reinforcement includes at least one protective ply that exhibits a force at break Fm.sub.NSP. The working reinforcement includes at least one working ply that exhibits a force at break Fm.sub.NST. The hoop reinforcement includes at least one hooping ply, each of which includes hoop reinforcing elements that make an angle at most equal to 10 with a circumferential direction of the tire. The working reinforcement is arranged radially internal to the protective reinforcement. A ratio Fm.sub.NSP/Fm.sub.NST is greater than or equal to 0.27 and less than or equal to 0.90.
