An outer surface 68 of the bead portion 66 includes a seat face 70 and a flange face 72 disposed radially inward and axially outward, respectively, of the bead 30, a heel face 74 disposed between the seat face 70 and the flange face 72, and a plurality of vent lines 78 projecting from the heel face 74 and extending in the circumferential direction. A contour of the heel face 74 is represented by an arc on a cross-section, of the tire 22, taken along a plane including a rotation axis of the tire 22, and a radius Rh of the arc is not less than 8 mm and not greater than 15 mm.

Tire for bicycle tubeless wheel

A bicycle tubeless tire includes a tread and two sidewalls are formed on two sides of the tread. Each sidewall has a lip formed on the distal edge thereof. An installation unit is integrally formed with each lip. Each lip includes an inside, an underside and an outside. The underside and the outside of each lip are engaged with an engaging portion at the inner bottom of the rim when the tire is installed to the rim. The lips do not shift by the engaging portions of the rim. Each of the underside and the outside is a flat side such that the contact area between the lips and the rim is increased to have better air-tight features. The outer face of each lip is a flat face to be installed to the rim without flanges. The deformation of the sidewalls of the tire, and the wind resistance are reduced.

Vehicle tyre with enhanced bead contour

A pneumatic tyre comprises a tread portion, a pair of opposing sidewall portions and a pair of opposing bead portions, the tread portion extending radially outwards from the sidewall portions and the sidewall portions extending radially outwards from the bead portions, wherein each bead portion comprises an axially inward side and an axially outward side which are joined at a base of the bead portion and each axially outward side of the bead portion comprises a concave region extending axially inwards. Each concave region further comprises a convex region located within the concave region which extends axially outwards.

A pneumatic tire includes bead portions, each having a bead bottom surface. The bead bottom surface includes a toe-side portion extending axially outwardly from a bead toe at an angle in a range of from 17 to 24 degrees with respect to the tire axial direction, a heel-side portion positioned axially outside the toe-side portion and extending axially outwardly at an angle in a range of from 3 to 7 degrees with respect to the tire axial direction, and a heel-side arc portion smoothly connecting between the heel-side portion and a flange contacting surface with a radius of curvature (R) in a range of from 1.5 to 3.5 mm.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TYRE

A commercial vehicle tire intended for mounting on an E.T.R.T.O. Standards Manual standardized 15 drop-center rim (width codes 5.25 to 9.75) with two rim flanges (2) and with two rim sections (3), each with a bead seat surface (3a), wherein the commercial vehicle tire has two bead regions with bead cores (4) and in each case one bead toe (6) and one bead contour on the outside of the tire and one on the inside of the tire, which bead contours adjoin one another at the bead toe (6), wherein each bead contour on the outside of the tire has a first segment (S.sub.1), which is in contact with the rim flange (2) when the commercial vehicle tire is mounted on the rim (1), and an outer contour region, which is at least partially in contact with the bead seat surface (3a) when the commercial vehicle tire is mounted on the rim (1).

The outer contour region is made up of three adjoining segments (S.sub.2, S.sub.3, S.sub.4), specifically a second segment (S.sub.2) which adjoins the first segment (S.sub.1), which comes into contact with the rim flange (2), at an external angle (.sub.1) of 190 to 225, a third segment (S.sub.3) which adjoins this second segment at an external angle (.sub.2) of 165 to 175, and a fourth segment (S.sub.4) which adjoins this third segment at an external angle (.sub.3) of 200 to 210, wherein the total width (B) of the second, third and fourth segments (S.sub.2, S.sub.3, S.sub.4), projected onto a reference line (g.sub.2) running at an angle () of 15 in relation to the second segment (S.sub.2), is 20.0 mm to 45.0 mm and wherein the fourth segment (S.sub.4) has a width (b.sub.4) of 20% to 35% of the total width (B) in this projection.
