TIRE ASSEMBLY FOR PROVIDING ENHANCED VEHICLE STABILITY
A tire assembly according to the disclosure may include a wheel having a first outer circumferential surface and a second outer circumferential surface, and a tire mounted on the wheel and having a first portion that mates with the first outer circumferential surface of the wheel, and a second portion that is spaced away from the second outer circumferential surface of the wheel to form a cavity. Furthermore, the first portion may be a solid portion that extends from the first outer circumferential surface of the wheel to an outer circumferential surface of the tire.
Degradable foam-containing tires, related methods and kits for adding degradable foam to tires
Disclosed herein are kits for use in adding degradable foam to a tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, tires containing degradable foam, and methods for degrading the degradable foam in tires containing degradable foam. The degradable foam comprises a combination of (i) at least one di- or polyisocyanate, (ii) at least one polysiloxane diol, at least one polysiloxane diamine, or a combination thereof, and (iii) optionally at least one polyol.
SIMULATED INFLATABLE WHEEL AND STROLLER COMPRISING SAME
The present invention provides a simulated inflatable wheel including a rim, a filler tire mounted on the rim, and a tire casing covering the filler tire and having a rolling portion in rolling contact with the external environment and an abutting portion extending from two sides of the rolling portion. The abutting portion is located between the rim and the filler tire. The abutting portion abuts against the rim and the filler tire respectively. A recessed portion is formed on at least one position of an outer surface of the filler tire. The present invention utilizes the recessed portion of the filler tire to generate space between the filler tire and the rim (or the tire casing), for providing a buffer when the filler tire is deformed and improving elasticity of the filler tire. The present invention further provides a stroller including the simulated inflatable wheel.
TIRE INSERT AND VEHICLE WHEEL COMPRISING SAID TIRE INSERT
A tire insert for vehicle wheel which has an annular element made in one piece of polymer material is provided. The annular element has a base portion suitable for being accommodated in a rim seat of a rim and an enlarged portion having a section larger than the base portion. The enlarged portion is shaped to have shape and size to always be spaced apart from an inner tire side when the tire is inflated to a predetermined standard working pressure. When the tire is deflated, the enlarged portion comes into contact with the tire to support the tire while the vehicle wheel is running. A vehicle wheel having a tire, a rim onto which the tire is mounted, and the tire insert is also provided.
Methods relating to polyurethane foam-containing and degradable foam-containing tires, and degradable foam-containing tires
Disclosed herein are methods for degrading polyurethane foam from mounted polyurethane foam-containing tires, methods for separating a wheel from a mounted polyurethane foam-containing tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, and degradable foam-containing tires. The methods include applying a solution comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof to the polyurethane foam inside of a tire, incorporating a degradant comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof into the polyurethane foam, or both, and then heating to degrade the foam. Degradation of the foam allows for separation of the wheel from the rubber carcass of the tire.
PUNCTURE RESISTANT MUTE EXPLOSION-PROOF CUSHION FOR TYRE AND WHEEL THEREOF
A puncture resistant mute explosion-proof cushion for a tyre and a wheel thereof are provided. The explosion-proof cushion is annular, received in the tyre and made of composite nano vinyl acetate copolymer. The explosion-proof cushion includes an inner ring and an outer ring wrapped on the inner ring; when the explosion-proof cushion is installed in the tyre, the outer ring is attached to a top surface and a side surface of an inner wall of the tyre, and a height from the inner ring to the outer ring along a radial direction of the explosion-proof cushion is less than a height of the side surface of the inner wall of the tyre. The explosion-proof cushion of the present disclosure can improve comfort during ordinary driving of the tyre, and simultaneously can protect an integral structure of the wheel when the tyre runs under a condition of a tyre burst.
Post-cure run-flat and/or noise reduction apparatus and method of manufacturing the same
A motor vehicle tire is disclosed with a pair of post-cure run-flat inserts, each of the pair of post-cure run-flat inserts is disposed within a tire cavity between a shoulder region and a respective upper sidewall region of the tire. The tire further includes a cylindrical sidewall defining an interior cylindrical cavity, each of the cylindrical sidewall and the interior cylindrical cavity extending 360 degrees about a rotational axis of the tire, the cylindrical sidewall having an exterior surface contacting a radially inner surface of an inner liner between the shoulder region and the respective upper sidewall region during a normal inflation condition of the tire.
INSERT FOR VEHICLE WHEEL AND VEHICLE WHEEL COMPRISING THE INSERT
An insert for a vehicle wheel suitable for being inserted in an inner annular cavity resulting between a tire and a rim of the vehicle wheel is provided. The insert has an annular element that extends in a circumferential direction (C) about a main axis (X-X), and is made in one piece of polymeric material. Dips or protrusions formed on the annular element extend about the circumferential direction (C) and along a respective preferential extension direction (A-A), which lies on a plane secant to the circumferential direction (C). A vehicle wheel having a tire, a rim, and the insert suitable for being inserted in an inner annular cavity resulting between the tire and the rim of the vehicle wheel is also provided.
AIR VALVE COMBINING TYPED POLYURETHANE FOAM EJECTION DEVICE FOR TIRE
An embodiment of the present invention provides an air injection valve-integrated spray for spraying and applying polyurethane foam to a desired portion of a tire. The spray includes a polyurethane foam chamber disposed at an end of a coupling portion and keeping polyurethane foam under pressure and an air delivery chamber delivering air injected from an air injection valve to a breaking portion of the polyurethane foam chamber, in which the breaking portion of the polyurethane foam chamber is broken by air coming out of the air delivery chamber, so the polyurethane foam is sprayed.
SOUNDPROOF TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
A soundproof tyre and a process for the production thereof. The tyre includes particular polyolefin sound absorbent foams that provide damping for noise generated in a cavity of the tyre, together with resistance to hydrolysis, poor water absorption and an unexpected thermal and mechanical stability in use conditions. The sound absorbent material is applied on at least a portion of a radially inner surface of the tyre. The portion of the radially inner surface includes an impermeable elastomeric material layer. The sound absorbent material includes a foamed polyolefin material with closed macrocells having an average size of at least 1.5 mm according to ASTM D357 6.
