METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PLACING AND ATTACHING A STRIP INSIDE A TIRE
The invention presents a device and a method for placing and attaching a strip inside a tire. Specifically, the tire is positioned on a mounting in relation to a centering means, and an adhesive device is placed inside the tire. While the tire is rotated, the strip is moved inside the tire, wherein a pressure force is applied to said strip. The strip is driven at a linear speed greater than the rotation speed of the tire, thus producing an effect of compressing said strip, the length of which becomes less than the nominal length thereof, thus creating a space between both ends of the strip such that, after release, the strip scrapes the adhesive device, which is repositioned on said ends, thus simultaneously causing said ends to be attached end to end.
Light-weight inner tube and related methods
The present disclosure relates to a light-weight tire inner tube comprising a film tube with a wall thickness of 100 to 400 microns, pneumatic tires containing the light-weight tire inner tube, and related methods for manufacturing the light-weight tire inner tube. The film tube is comprised of a film material comprising at least one thermoplastic engineering resin and optionally at least one saturated elastomer, and the film material of the film tube has an oxygen permeability of 8-15 cm.sup.3 O.sub.2/m.sup.2.Math.per day at 25° C.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire in which a sealing layer can be provided at a desired position on an inner circumferential surface of the tire is provided. The pneumatic tire (10) includes a tire frame member (12) formed in a circular shape and made of a resin, and a sealing layer provided by fixing a sealant housing member (34) internally filled with a sealant (38) to an inner circumferential surface of the tire frame member (12).

A tire is provided in which there is no detriment to the ease of work when fitting onto a rim and removing from a rim, even when the tire is provided with a sealing layer. A pneumatic tire (10) includes a tire frame member (12) formed in a circular shape and made of a resin, and a sealing layer provided by filling a cavity (34) formed inside the tire frame member (12) with a sealant (38).

A tire includes: a toroidal tire frame member formed of resin and is formed by joining a plurality of tire pieces together in a tire width direction; a reinforcement belt layer adhered to the tire frame member, and that extends in the tire circumferential direction so as to cover a join portion between the plurality of tire pieces; and tread rubber provided at an outer side in the tire radial direction of the tire frame member and the reinforcement belt layer, and the reinforcement belt layer includes a cord that straddles the join portion between the tire pieces.
