METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A HYBRID DIP CORD HAVING EXCELLENT FATIGUE RESISTANCE
Provided is a method of manufacturing a hybrid dip cord, which includes: a step of preparing one nylon 6,6 yarn or nylon 6 yarn and one aramid yarn; a step of producing a primarily twisted yarn by applying a twist of 200 to 500 TPM by inputting one nylon 6,6 or nylon 6 yarn longer than the aramid yarn; a set of cabling the primarily twisted yarn as two to apply a twist of 200 to 500 TPM to thereby produce a raw cord; and a step of dipping the raw cord in an adhesive liquid and heat-treat the raw cord, in which the nylon 6,6 or nylon 6 is heat-shrunk so that the length of the nylon 6,6 or the nylon 6 becomes equal to the length of the aramid yarn.
SELF-SUPPORTING TIRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
The present invention relates to a self-supporting tire for vehicle wheels comprising a carcass structure comprising at least one carcass ply having a plurality of hybrid reinforcing cords (10) each comprising at least two strands (20) twisted to each other with a predetermined stranding pitch (P), wherein each of said at least two strands (20) comprises at least one monofilament textile thread (21) at least partially embedded in the filaments (22a) of at least one multifilament textile yarn (22) and a pair of sidewall reinforcement inserts (113), where at least one of said sidewall reinforcement inserts comprises a vulcanised elastomeric compound which has a dynamic shear modulus value G equal to or less than 1.25 MPa measured at 70° C., 10 Hz, 9% deformation according to the RPA method reported in the present description.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a pair of bead portions each having a respective bead core therein, a carcass extending between the bead portions and including a carcass ply that includes a main portion extending between the bead cores and a pair of turn-up portions turned up around the bead cores, and a pair of bead reinforcing layers being disposed outward in the tire axial direction of the turn-up portions so as to cover outermost ends in a tire radial direction of the turn-up portions. An outer surface of at least one of the bead portions is provided with a recess row including a plurality of recesses spaced in a tire circumferential direction, and in the at least one of the bead portions, an outermost end of the bead reinforcing layer is located outwardly in the tire radial direction of outermost ends of the plurality of recesses.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND RUBBER REINFORCING MATERIAL
The present invention relates to an adhesive composition including a latex (A), a polyurethane (B), an amine-based adhesion promoter (C), and a water-containing solvent (G). The composition is eco-friendly, has a low risk of fire, and has excellent adhesive strength.
Cord for reinforcing elastomers
A cord for reinforcing elastomers excellent in adhesion to elastomers such as rubber is provided. The cord is a cord for reinforcing elastomers (10) that includes metallic filaments (1) and a resin filament (2) twisted together, the resin filament (2) being made from a polymeric material having a melting point or softening point of 80 to 160° C. The cord for reinforcing elastomers includes a core and at least one sheath layer, wherein, after vulcanization, a distance w between metallic filaments (1b) forming an outermost sheath layer is 100 μm or less, and, on a cross section of the cord taken along a direction orthogonal to an axial direction, a filling ratio, which is a ratio of an area of a polymeric material (3) derived from the resin filament (2) to a gap region is 52 to 120%, where the gap region is defined as a portion occupied by a material other than the metallic filaments (1) within a region formed by connecting the centers of the individual metallic filaments (1b) constituting the outermost sheath layer.
GRC (glass-resin composite) monofilament
A monofilament made of glass-resin composite has improved properties in compression, in particular at high temperature, and comprises glass filaments embedded in a crosslinked resin. The glass transition temperature of the resin is equal to or greater than 190° C. The elongation at break of the monofilament, measured at 23° C., is equal to or greater than 4.0%. The initial tensile modulus of the monofilament, measured at 23° C., is greater than 35 GPa. The real part of the complex modulus of the monofilament, measured at 190° C. by the DMTA method, is greater than 30 GPa. Pneumatic or non-pneumatic tires are reinforced with such a composite monofilament.
TIRE
Provided is a tire in which low rolling resistance is improved by using reinforcing cords containing polyamide multifilaments as reinforcing cords of a reinforcing member of the tire. In a tire (10) that includes at least one belt reinforcing layer (3) covering the full width of a belt (2), the belt reinforcing layer (3) includes, as a constituent, a rubber-cord composite that is formed of a rubber and reinforcing cords containing multifilaments of a semi-aromatic polyamide composed of a polycondensate of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid-containing dicarboxylic acid and a non-aromatic diamine, or a polycondensate of a non-aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aromatic diamine-containing diamine acid; and, when the width of a maximum-width belt layer constituting the belt (2) is defined as W, a region of at least more than 0.35 W from a tire equatorial plane is a sparse region in terms of the end count of the reinforcing cords in the belt reinforcing layer (3), while regions on the tire width-direction outer side of the sparse region are dense regions.
System and method for guiding reversing of a vehicle toward a trailer hitch
A method for guiding reversing of a vehicle includes displaying, via a video display screen of the vehicle, and responsive to the vehicle being shifted into reverse gear, video images derived from image data captured by a rear backup camera of the vehicle. Responsive to actuation of an input by the driver of the vehicle, an alignment overlay is generated and electronically superimposed on the displayed video images to assist the driver in reversing the vehicle toward a trailer hitch of a trailer. The alignment overlay extends longitudinally rearward from a central region of the vehicle displayed in the displayed video images. The input is an actuatable input other than the vehicle being shifted into reverse gear. The alignment overlay is adjusted responsive to change in steering angle of the vehicle while the driver is executing the reversing maneuver of the vehicle.
