The carcass structure (2) comprises at least one carcass ply (3) having opposite end edges (3a) associated with respective annular reinforcing structures (4) to form respective beads (15). Each bead (15) comprises at least one reinforcing element (18) made of an elastomeric material having a rigidity in a circumferential direction greater than the rigidity in a radial direction.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises: a bead portion provided with an inside bead apex rubber disposed between a turned up portion and a main portion of a carcass ply, and an outside bead apex rubber disposed axially outside the turned up portion and having a radially outer edge; and a the sidewall portion provided with a sidewall reinforcing cord layer disposed axially outside the carcass and having a radially inner edge which is spaced apart from the radially outer edge of the outside bead apex rubber by a radial distance of not less than 5% of a tire section height.
LIGHT TRUCK OR OFF-ROAD TIRE
A tire includes a tread, a crown reinforcement, a carcass reinforcement with at least one ply wound about a pair of bead cores and through two sidewalls of the tire, and a cut/puncture resistant sidewall layer disposed adjacent a part of the carcass reinforcement within one of the sidewalls, the cut/puncture sidewall layer being formed of a plurality of cords, each cord including one nylon cord having S 4-8 tpi (twists per inch), one aramid cord having Z 4-8 tpi, and the nylon cord and the aramid cord being twisted together with S 3-7 tpi.
Pneumatic tire with cord layer extending close to tire outer surface
A pneumatic tire includes: an air permeation preventive layer disposed in the inner surface of the tire; a belt layer buried in a tread part; and a cord layer formed by arranging a plurality of cords. The cord layer is disposed between the air permeation preventive layer and the belt layer, and extends to a bead part side further from a tire maximum width position. At least a part of the cord layer is located close to the outer surface of the tire, at a position closer to the bead part side than the tire maximum width position, so that the distance between the cords and the outer surface of the tire is not more than 2 mm.

TYRE AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ANNULAR
A method for manufacturing an annular carcass of a tire includes providing first and second ply materials, each including cords; winding at least a layer of the first ply material and a layer of the second ply material onto a carcass drum so the first ply material radially surrounds the second ply material; arranging two cables onto the cylindrical carcass preform; turning the part of the cylindrical carcass preform about the closer cable onto the part of the cylindrical carcass preform between the two cables; and expanding the cylindrical carcass preform to form an annular carcass having, in a bead area, inner and outer layers of the first ply material and inner and outer layers of the second ply material. The ply materials are arranged so the cords thereof are arranged cross-wise with respect to its neighboring ply materials or a neighboring ply material, considering the innermost or outermost layer.
MOTORCYCLE TIRE
A motorcycle tire comprises a carcass and a tread reinforcing layer disposed radially outside the carcass. The tread reinforcing layer includes a belt layer and a band layer. The belt layer is compose of a radially inner belt ply of belt cords arranged at a first angle, and a radially outer belt ply of belt cords arranged at a second angle different from the first angle, each with respect to the tire circumferential direction. The band layer is composed of at least one band ply, and disposed between the radially inner belt ply and the radially outer belt ply, adjacently to both of the radially inner and belt plies.

PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire according to an embodiment includes: a carcass ply including organic fiber cords; and a side reinforcement layer including metal cords. The side reinforcement layer extends along a lateral surface of a bead filler, and extends beyond an outer end of the bead filler to an outer side in a tire radial direction. The carcass ply includes: a first ply stretched between bead cores; and a second ply arranged on a tire outer surface side of the first ply. An inner end portion in the tire radial direction of the second ply is superimposed on an outer end portion in the tire radial direction of the side reinforcement layer, and the second ply extends to the outer side in the tire radial direction from the inner end portion and is terminated at a position at which the second ply is superimposed on an end portion of a belt.
