The shear band has a first and second membrane layer formed of a plurality of parallel reinforcement cords arranged at an angle of 10 degrees or less with respect to the tire equatorial plane, said o tread further comprises a first angled belt located radially outward of the second membrane layer, and a second angled belt located radially outward of the first angled belt, wherein the first and second angled belt each have parallel reinforcement cords having a belt angle in the range of 15-30 degrees with respect to the tire equatorial plane, and wherein the angle of the second angled belt has an angle equal and opposite direction of the belt angle of the first angled belt.

A pneumatic tire having a tread reinforcing component disposed between a tire inner cavity surface and a tire ground contacting surface, and made of a thermoplastic resin. On an arbitrary reference line which extends across the tread reinforcing component in parallel with the tire equator, a distance L1 in the tire radial direction from the tire inner cavity surface to the thickness center point of the tread reinforcing component is in a range of 50% to 95% of a distance L0 in the tire radial direction from the tire inner cavity surface to the tire ground contacting surface.

A tire includes a tread reinforcing layer. The tread reinforcing layer includes a ply reinforcing portion in which belt-shaped plies are wound. The ply reinforcing portion includes a lattice-shaped portion in which a plurality of the first inclined portions and a plurality of the second inclined portions intersect with each other such that side edges of the first inclined portions and side edges of the second inclined portions do not contact with each other so as to have space portions between them. A pneumatic tire having a fiber-reinforced rubber layer can help prevent foreign objects from penetrating/extending beyond the tread and into its underlying layer(s), thereby desirably increasing the overall lifespan of the tire. In one embodiment, the tire includes at least one fiber-reinforced rubber layer, which can be generally supported by a tire carcass and interposed directly between a tread portion and belt ply. The fiber-reinforced rubber layer can define a barrier/barrier layer between the tread portion and belt ply and includes a rubber compound that is reinforced with one or more types of fiber (e.g., chopped nylon fiber) and has one or more specific chemical compounds that can provide desirable barrier properties (e.g., abrasion resistance, penetration energy, and DIN properties), thereby helping to prevent foreign objects from penetrating/extending beyond the tire tread and into its underlying layer(s), such as the belt ply and carcass.

A pneumatic tire comprising a carcass 11, at least one inclined belt layer 13 having a cord extending inclined at an angle of 30° or more relative to the tire circumferential direction, and a tread 15 arranged outward in the tire radial direction of the inclined belt layer 13, wherein a circumferential cord layer 14 arranged inward in the tire radial direction of the tread 15 has a high-rigidity region and a low-rigidity region and the high-rigidity region has a lower negative ratio in a ground contact width of the tread 15 than the low-rigidity region.

Provided is a pneumatic tire that includes a belt reinforcing layer formed of an organic fiber cord. A belt layer disposed on an outer circumferential side of a carcass layer in a tread portion is formed of monofilament wires having a wire diameter of 0.30 mm or more and 0.45 mm or less. The belt reinforcing layer is disposed on an outer circumferential side of the belt layer, is formed of an organic fiber cord that is made of a polyethylene terephthalate fiber and has an intermediate elongation under 2.0 cN/dtex load of from 2.0% to 4.0%.

A pneumatic tire including a belt constituted by at least one belt layer on a tire radial-direction inner side of a tread portion. The belt layer includes a reinforcing element containing plural metal filaments aligned in a single row without being twisted together is embedded in an elastomer. The tread portion includes: two or more circumferential main grooves arranged within a width of a ground-contact surface; and land portions, and widthwise sipes are arranged in at least one of center land portion. The widthwise sipes each include: a linear portion linearly extending from the surface of the tread portion toward the tire radial-direction inner side; and a bent portion extending from the linear portion toward the tire radial-direction inner side, and the length of the linear portion increases from an extending length center portion of each widthwise sipe toward at least one of tread widthwise end portions.

A motorcycle tire comprises a carcass and a tread reinforcing layer disposed radially outside the carcass. The tread reinforcing layer includes a belt layer and a band layer. The belt layer is compose of a radially inner belt ply of belt cords arranged at a first angle, and a radially outer belt ply of belt cords arranged at a second angle different from the first angle, each with respect to the tire circumferential direction. The band layer is composed of at least one band ply, and disposed between the radially inner belt ply and the radially outer belt ply, adjacently to both of the radially inner and belt plies.
