Vehicle tow hook
An assembly includes a vehicle frame, a base fixed relative to the vehicle frame, and a hook supported by the base and rotatable relative to the base between an extended position and a retracted position. One of the hook or the base has a flange and the other of the hook or the base has a pair of extensions. The flange is between the extensions. A post is fixed relative to the flange and engages both extensions. A spring is connected to the post and one of the extensions. The spring is positioned to bias the hook toward the extended position.
SAFETY CHAIN TIE DOWN APPARATUS
A tie down apparatus for securing an item is shown and described herein. The tie down apparatus may include first and second body members, where the first body member is configured to be located and rotated about a first axis within a first receiving member and the second body member is configured to be located and rotated about a second axis within a second receiving member. The tie down apparatus may also include first and second locking members each extending through the first and second body members, respectively, where rotating the first and second body members about the respective first and second axes engages the first and second locking members and generally prevents removal of the first and second body members from the first and second receiving member, and a safety chain holding member selectively engaged with either of the first and second body members.
FIFTH WHEEL HITCH COMFORT SYSTEM
A fifth wheel hitch assembly for mounting to a towing vehicle and receiving a kingpin of a trailer incorporating a comfort assembly is provided. The fifth wheel hitch assembly may comprise a kingpin receiving assembly attached to a mounting rail via a comfort assembly. The comfort assembly may include one or more pivot bushing assemblies, as well as vertically adjustable, anti-rattle attachment systems. These attachment systems may include a cam assembly and/or a T-pin assembly.
INTEGRATED HITCH MOUNTING SYSTEM
A hitch mounting system integrated into to a vehicle, where the vehicle includes a frame and a body, including a load bed having an integrated mounting apparatus. The hitch mount system includes a receiving member, which may be a receiving member that is integrated with the frame of a vehicle capable of attaching to a fifth wheel or a gooseneck trailer attachment through the body or bed of the vehicle.
TOWING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND VEHICLE
Disclosed are a towing device for a vehicle and a vehicle. The towing device includes a front end portion and a rear end portion connected to the front end portion, where the front end portion is arranged on a rear floor and a rear floor cross member, so as to disperse an external force borne by the front end portion to the rear floor cross member; and the rear end portion includes a connecting seat and a tow hook connected to the connecting seat and extending out towards an exterior of the vehicle, the connecting seat being arranged on a rear anti-collision beam, so as to transmit an external force borne by the rear end portion to longitudinal members by means of the rear anti-collision beam and energy absorption boxes.
Underbed hitch mounting system
An underbed hitch mounting system is described. The mounting system may be utilized for towing vehicles wherein the mounting system may selectively accommodate either a fifth wheel hitch or a gooseneck hitch. The mounting system may include at least one rail capable of being connected to a vehicle frame, wherein the rail includes at least one socket. The socket may be engaged with a receiving member, wherein the receiving member may be engaged with a leg of a fifth wheel hitch. A mid rail may be connected to the rails and may include a hitch ball socket that is capable of engagement with a hitch.
Fifth wheel hitch connection system
A connection system for a fifth wheel hitch assembly or other vehicle accessory includes a plurality of interlocking flanges are received in corresponding ports. Additionally, a plurality of fasteners are used in combination with friction bushings. This overall combination creates a synergistic effect that enables the connection of high load components along a single shear facing.
Vehicle with deployable towing wheels
Example apparatuses and techniques are disclosed for towing tracked vehicles at high speeds without various deficiencies and for allowing a vehicle to be configured to extend supplemental wheels from a storage configuration into a ground support configuration in which the vehicle is able to make use of the supplemental wheels for additional ground support.
Trailer coupler system
A trailer coupler system can include one or more skid plates made from extruded aluminum, one or more support tubes attached to the skid plates, a plurality of struts having a first end attached to the one or more skid plates, a ball housing attached to a second end of at least two of the plurality of struts, a first towball positioned within the ball housing, an adapter sleeve attached to the ball housing, a support plate extending from a support tube or skid plate to the adapter sleeve, an adapter having a kingpin coupler for coupling to a kingpin of a trailer, and a towball coupler for directly coupling with the first towball.
Recreational vehicle trailer chassis
The recreational vehicle trailer chassis includes two main frame rails running front to back with a series of perpendicular connecting main cross-members to form a structural configuration increasing the torsional rigidity of the frame. The main floor and support framing has a front and rear living area generally divided by the direction of structural trusses. Above the rear and middle main frame rails is the rear and middle floor framing formed with a plurality of frame members. Between the rear and middle main frame rails and below the rear and middle main floor support framing are structural web beam trusses perpendicular to the main frame rails along with vertical support columns that connect the lower main frame to the rear and middle living area floor framing further increasing structural torsional rigidity. Above the forward main frame rails and vertical support columns is the front floor framing with a plurality of frame members along with structural web beam trusses running parallel with the forward living area floor. Outward from the main frame rails and vertical floor support columns is the front to back side saddle framing to allow access to the basement area internally and externally. The furthermost forward floor framing sections are where the hitch structure and hitch are located.
