Invertible Stabilizer Bar and System Incorporating the Same
A suspension assembly for a vehicle may include a first stabilizer bar operably coupled to a first wheel on a first side of the vehicle, a second stabilizer bar operably coupled to a second wheel on a second side of the vehicle, and an chassis coupler comprising an inverter housing and an actuator assembly. The actuator assembly may be operable to arrange the first stabilizer bar and the second stabilizer bar in a selected one of a connected state, a disconnected state, and an inverted state. The inverter housing may be alternately constrained to one of the first stabilizer bar or the chassis coupler based on a position of the actuator assembly to define each of the connected state, the disconnected state and the inverted state.
ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM FOR SWAY BARS
This invention pertains to sway bar systems, and a method of controlling their operation. Specifically, the present invention relates to provide a way of adjusting the response characteristics of a sway bar system by changing the structure of the typical sway bar links and regulating the modified structure by utilizing a hydraulic control unit. Said hydraulic control unit independently modifies the fluid path within each said sway bar links by use of one electronically controlled bi-directional valve allowing for closed or opened flow operation, determined by an electronic input being received.
VEHICLE ROLL CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle roll control apparatus comprises a pair of left and right active suspensions for applying vertical forces in opposite phases to left and right wheels of a rear axle of the vehicle, and a controller for controlling the active suspensions. The controller increases control amounts of the active suspensions so as to increase roll stiffness of the rear axle in accordance with an increase in a lateral acceleration acting on the vehicle. When the lateral acceleration increases beyond the low acceleration range to the high acceleration range, the controller decreases the gain of the control amounts of the active suspensions with respect to the lateral acceleration in accordance with the increase in the lateral acceleration.
Automated control system for an electronically controlled sway bar link
A sway bar system is described. The sway bar system includes a sway bar having a first end and a second end. An electronically controlled connector to provide a remotely controllable physical connection and disconnection capability between a first location on a vehicle and the first end of the sway bar; and the second end of the sway bar coupled to a second location on the vehicle.

The inverter housing may be alternately constrained to one of the first stabilizer bar or the chassis coupler based on a position of the actuator assembly to define each of the connected state, the disconnected state and the inverted state.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR A TRACKED VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a suspension system (S; S1; S2) fora tracked vehicle (V; V1; V2). Said tracked vehicle comprises a vehicle body (4), a pair of opposite track assemblies (T1, T2), the respective track assembly comprising a plurality of road wheels (2) and an endless track (3) disposed around said wheels. Said suspension system comprises a road wheel arm (20) having a wheel axle portion (22) configured to support a road wheel of the vehicle and a pivot axle portion (24), the road wheel arm (20) being pivotably journalled at said pivot axle portion (24) to a support portion (30) configured to be fixed to the vehicle body (4). The suspension system comprises a torsion bar (40) having a first end portion (42) and an opposite second end portion (44), the first end portion (42) being connected to the support portion (30). The suspension system comprises an adjustment device (100) connected to the second end portion (44) of the torsion bar (40), the adjustment device being configured to adjust the torque on the torsion bar so as to adjust the height of the vehicle body relative to said pair of track assemblies. The invention also relates to a tracked vehicle with such a suspension system and a method for controlling such a suspension system.
ACTIVE ROLL CONTROL APPARATUS
An active roll control apparatus is provided. To adjust a stiffness value of the stabilizer bar by moving a stabilizer bar installed between left and right wheels of a vehicle and extending in a first direction and a stabilizer link connected to the stabilizer bar, the active roll control apparatus includes a sliding part having one side connected to the stabilizer bar and the other side connected to the stabilizer link to slide the stabilizer link in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a movement restricting part installed at the sliding part to restrict movement when the sliding part slides.
STABILIZER SYSTEM
A vehicle stabilizer system, including: a stabilizer device and a switching mechanism to switch a roll suppressing function by a stabilizer bar between an effective state in which the roll suppressing function is rendered effective and an ineffective state in which the roll suppressing function is rendered ineffective; and a controller configured to determine whether a lateral acceleration of a vehicle body is greater than a threshold lateral acceleration and control the switching mechanism to render the roll suppressing function effective when the lateral acceleration is greater than the threshold lateral acceleration and ineffective when the lateral acceleration is not greater than the threshold lateral acceleration, wherein the controller employs, as a determination lateral acceleration for determining whether the lateral acceleration is greater than the threshold lateral acceleration, a smaller one of an actual lateral acceleration and an estimated lateral acceleration estimated based on a turning degree of the vehicle.
VEHICLE ATTITUDE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACTION MANAGEMENT
A vehicle includes a chassis, an axle, and a sway bar assembly coupled between the chassis and the axle. At least one actuator is configured to move the sway bar assembly relative to the axle to thereby move at least a portion of the chassis toward or away from the axle to adjust an attitude of the vehicle.
STABILIZER FOR VEHICLE
There is provided a stabilizer for a vehicle, including a torsion bar fixed to a car body and configured to be rotated about a longitudinal axis of rotation without changing a position, two arm links connected to both ends of the torsion bar, and two drive links connected to each of the two arm links through a ball joint so as to be able to be rotated three-dimensionally, in which the two drive links are configured to, during cornering of the vehicle, adjust a degree of torsion of the torsion bar by rotating about an axis of rotation of a strut assembly or a steering knuckle connected to the two drive links.
