The present invention provides an electromagnetic suspension capable of suppressing interference with other components and devices, being mounted in a narrow space, and having a small thrust pulsation, a large thrust, and a high damping performance even for a high-frequency vibration source. An electromagnetic suspension of the present invention includes a linear motor that includes an armature and a permanent magnet portion, the armature including a winding and a magnetic body, the permanent magnet portion being disposed on an outer periphery of the armature and including a permanent magnet and a cylindrical magnetic body, and the armature and the permanent magnet portion being relatively linearly driven in the linear motor, in which a recess recessed from an outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical magnetic body and a protrusion protruding from the outer peripheral portion are disposed on the same circumference of the outer peripheral portion of the cylindrical magnetic body.

Control method for hybrid electromagnetic suspension

A control method for hybrid electromagnetic suspension. The method provides four modes for hybrid electromagnetic suspension: a comfort mode, a sport mode, a combined mode, and an energy feedback mode. A driver can switch between the four modes as desired. For the comfort, sport, and combined modes, hybrid control is adopted, and two sub-modes are provided: an active control mode and a semi-active control mode. A switching condition between the two sub-modes is determined by using a novel parameter C.sub.act and comparing the same against a maximum equivalent electromagnetic damping coefficient C.sub.eqmax of a linear motor. The present invention solves the problem of achieving a balance between suspension comfort and tire traction, and meets the demands of different operating conditions and users by enabling manual mode switching. In addition, the hybrid control is employed to solve the problems of high energy consumption of active suspension and limited control performance of semi-active suspension, thus ensuring good kinematic performance of automobile suspension while reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, the energy feedback mode is designed to enable the suspension to perform energy recovery, meeting demands of energy conservation and emission reduction.

A suspension system for a vehicle is provided. A linear regenerative suspension system that converts mechanical energy into storable electrical energy is also provided. The system utilizes pistons, one on each side of the vehicle, engaged with a vehicle body at a distal end and having a fluid chamber at the proximal end. The system further has a central chamber having a rod freely laterally moving therein. A fluid communicates between the central chamber and each piston fluid chamber. Upon nonlinear forces applied to the vehicle, the rod is urged in one direction or another. This urging applies force to the fluid in the central chamber, and in turn, to the piston in the corresponding side of the vehicle, urging the piston up and in turn urging the vehicle body up.

The present invention provides one or more carrier devices capable of varying contact damping with pressured displacement. The device is configured to be installed on mechanical force-receiving structures that have rolling wheels, rolling balls or slidably displaceable terminal block structure, carrying devices and transportation devices for humans or objects. When receiving pressure smaller than a set value, the device provides low contact damping and is thus easy to move. On the other hand, when receiving pressure greater than the set value, it provides high contact damping so as to prevent slip and thereby ensure safe placement.

In addition, when receiving pressure smaller than the set value, the device has its pre-stressed structure generate modulation to displacement corresponding to the size of the pressure it receives for the purpose of shock absorbency.

The operation in a closing direction and the operation in an opening direction of a storage rack are performed efficiently with small force. Fixed frames and a storage rack are connected by link mechanisms, and the link mechanism includes fixed-side links linked to the fixed frame and movable-side links linked to the storage rack. When a position of one ends of the movable-side links is located closer to one ends of the fixed-side links than a balanced point, the elastic member biases the storage rack in an open-position direction. In the open position, since the elastic member biases the storage rack in the opening direction, an open state is maintained as long as the position of the one ends of the movable-side links does not return to the change point position. Accordingly, the open position can be held by a simple structure without using electric power.

The hybrid electromagnetic suspension includes an integrated structure of linear motor and cylinder block of equivalent hydraulic damper, a suspension spring, a connecting pipeline, a hydraulic rectifier bridge, an accumulator, a hydraulic motor and a rotary motor. The ECU detects the road level according to the received sensor signal, and switches to the corresponding mode to control the suspension according to obtained road level, so as to obtain the optimal suspension performance under each road level.
