HYDRAULIC STOPPING DAMPER
Present disclosure A hydraulic stopping damper includes a cylinder in which a work fluid is stored, a piston rod coupled such that one side of the piston rod is to be inserted into an inner space of the cylinder, and a rod guide through which the piston rod passes and coupled to one side of the cylinder. The hydraulic stopping damper includes a rebound spring surrounding the piston rod and disposed in an inner space of the cylinder, and a shock mitigator between the rod guide and the rebound spring, the shock mitigator configured to generate a damping force by a hydraulic pressure of the work fluid when one side of the rebound spring compressed in response to a rebound stroke of the piston rod is inserted into the rod guide.

An actuator (2) includes: a casing (7); a hollow shaft (8) rotatably supported by the casing (7) via a bearing (9a, 9b), the hollow shaft (8) including a bottom portion (8b); a screw shaft (14) coupled to the bottom portion (8b) of the hollow shaft (8), the screw shaft (14) sharing a common center line with the hollow shaft (8); and a nut (15) threadedly connected to the screw shaft (14). The nut (15) is capable of moving in an axial direction of the screw shaft (14) to enter between the hollow shaft (8) and the screw shaft (14).
Controlling damper friction effects in a suspension
In some examples, a vehicle suspension for supporting, at least in part, a sprung mass, includes a damper connected to the sprung mass, the damper including a movable piston. The vehicle suspension further includes an actuator and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine a frequency of motion associated with the sprung mass. When the frequency of motion is below a first frequency threshold, the controller may send a control signal to cause the actuator to apply a deceleration force to the sprung mass. Further, when the frequency of motion associated with the sprung mass exceeds the first frequency threshold, the controller may send a control signal to cause the actuator to apply a compensatory force to the sprung mass. For instance, a magnitude of the compensatory force may be based on a friction force determined for the damper.
Air spring assembly
An air spring assembly is disclosed. The air spring assembly includes an upper fork tube having a base lug on one end, a lower fork tube having an opening to receive the upper fork tube in a first axial end, and a fork tube gas seal to form a gas seal between the upper fork tube and the lower fork tube. A partial cartridge tube within a portion of the upper fork tube, the partial cartridge tube including a partial cartridge tube gas seal between an outer diameter (OD) of the partial cartridge tube and an inner diameter (ID) of the upper fork tube. An annular volume formed between the ID of the upper fork tube, the OD of the partial cartridge tube, the partial cartridge tube gas seal, and the base lug of the upper fork tube.
Electric suspension apparatus
An electric suspension apparatus includes electric actuators provided for a plurality of wheels, respectively, an acceleration sensor disposed in each of the electric actuators, the acceleration sensor detecting a first acceleration, and an electric suspension control ECU controlling each of the electric actuators based on the first acceleration, and the electric suspension control ECU decreases a control amount to the electric actuator, in a case where a first speed based on the first acceleration in an up-down direction is equal to or less than a predetermined speed.
Wheel suspension for a vehicle axle
A wheel suspension for a vehicle axle of a two-track vehicle, having a wheel carrier carrying a vehicle wheel, which is able to be articulated to a vehicle body via a multi-link assembly, which multi-link assembly has a trapezoidal link in the form of a four-point link with two connection points on the body side and two connection points on the wheel carrier side. The trapezoidal link connection points on the wheel carrier side are designed with a higher elastic longitudinal compliance, that is, softer, than the trapezoidal link connection points on the body side.
DAMPING AIR SPRING FOR HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE AXLE/SUSPENSION SYSTEMS
A damping air spring for heavy-duty vehicle axle/suspension systems. The damping air spring includes a piston chamber and a bellows chamber and at least one opening between the chambers to provide restricted fluid communication between the chambers. A relationship between a cross-sectional area of the at least one opening in square inches to a volume of the piston chamber in cubic inches to a volume of the bellows chamber in cubic inches to a mean effective area of the air spring in square inches or of the at least one opening in square inches to a volume of the piston chamber in cubic inches to a volume of the bellows chamber in cubic inches to a unitless ratio of the volume of the bellows chamber to the volume of the piston chamber provides damping characteristics to the air spring over a first and second critical range of frequencies.
