MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MEMBER, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MEMBER FOR VEHICLE, AND DIE AND PUNCH
A manufacturing method of a member according to an aspect of the present invention is a manufacturing method of a member including a specific three-dimensional tubular portion, the manufacturing method including: a U-forming step of performing U-forming on metal material sheet using a U-forming die and punch including a U-forming punch to manufacture a U-formed article having a recessed cross-sectional shape; and an O-forming step of causing side end portions of the U-formed article to abut each other by an O-forming die to form abutting portions, in which a forming condition ratio a=Du/Do is set to 0.85 to 0.95.
Stabilizer link and method for manufacturing stabilizer link
This stabilizer link includes a metal support bar, and ball joints that are provided at both ends of the support bar. Each ball joint includes a ball stud one end of which is fastened to a suspension device or a stabilizer, and which has a ball part at the other end thereof, and a housing that rotatably supports the ball part of the ball stud. The support bar includes: a body part extending in a nearly linear shape, and reinforcement parts each having a nearly annular shape and each provided at both ends of the body part. The reinforcement parts of the support bar are each embedded in the housing so as to surround the ball part.
Damper with monolithic base
A damper including a damper tube, a piston assembly, a piston rod attached to the piston assembly, and a monolithic base. The piston assembly is slidingly disposed within the damper tube. The monolithic base includes a closed end, an open end, a base portion at the closed end, and a wall portion. The base portion is joined to and seals one end of the damper tube. The base portion includes a concave depression that tapers inwardly from a base portion perimeter to a cup bottom. The wall portion extends longitudinally from the base portion perimeter to the open end such that the cup bottom is positioned between opposing sides of the wall portion. Integrally formed fastening eyes are provided in the opposing sides of the wall portion.
Vehicle stabilizer, processing device for eye portion of stabilizer, and processing method for eye portion
An annular reference surface is formed around a through-hole of an eye portion. A distal-end-side curved portion is formed at a first corner portion, on an outer side of the annular reference surface. The thickness of the distal-end-side curved portion is reduced in a range of a length from the first flat surface toward the distal end surface. A hole-side curved portion whose thickness is reduced toward an inner surface of the through-hole is formed at a second corner portion, on an inner side of the annular reference surface. The length of the hole-side curved portion is less than the length of the distal-end-side curved portion. The hole-side curved portion is curved with a greater curvature than that of the distal-end-side curved portion.
CHASSIS COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CHASSIS COMPONENT
The present disclosure relates to a chassis component having a base body, wherein the base body has an opening for passing through a fastening means and two guide elements for guiding an eccentric element are arranged on opposite sides of the opening, wherein the guide elements are formed in one piece and using the same material of the base body of the chassis component by mechanical processing and each have a back side and a contact side facing the opening, wherein the contact side is formed orthogonally to the base body. According to the present disclosure, an outer transition region with a radius is formed between the respective contact sides and the base body. The present disclosure further relates to a method for producing a chassis component.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE SUSPENSION ARM AND VEHICLE SUSPENSION ARM
Stepwise bending in the method for manufacturing a vehicle suspension arm includes a first bending step and a second bending step. In the first bending step, preliminary bending is performed while holding a portion that composes a base portion of a body portion and a portion that composes first coupling portions in a workpiece W by a punch (first punch). In the second bending step, while holding of the portion that composes the first coupling portions by the first punch is released subsequently to the first bending step, bending is performed along a fold given by the first bending step while holding the portion that composes the base portion of the body portion by a punch (second punch).
Suspension member for a motor vehicle and method of making same
A suspension member having an arm member and a ball joint section. The ball joint section having an opening receiving a press fit ball joint. The material of the ball joint section having a smaller material thickness than the material of the arm member. The ball joint section connected to the arm member.
Stabilizer bar and process of producing a stabilizer bar
A stabilizer bar for a chassis of a motor vehicle comprises a torsion spring portion and two arms bent away from the torsion spring portion; wherein the arms each comprise a formed end portion with a through-opening and a tubular portion, wherein the torsion spring portion comprises a hardened structure with a strength of at least 1000 MPa; and wherein the formed end portions comprise a hardened structure with a strength of at least 800 MPa.
