DEVICES, SYSTEMS, VEHICLES, AND METHODS FOR COOLING ELECTRONICS
Various disclosed embodiments include illustrative devices, systems, vehicles, and methods. In an illustrative embodiment, a device includes a processor and a memory configured to store computer-executable instructions. The computer-executable instructions are configured to cause the processor to receive device cooling information, determine a cooling electronic device condition in response to the received device cooling information, and instruct application of a cooling function in response to the determined cooling electronic device condition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE BASED ON PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF AN OCCUPANT
The present disclosure provides system and methods for a vehicle infotainment system (VIS) to monitor physiological parameters of occupants of a vehicle. The VIS also monitors vehicle operating parameters. The VIS is able to detect when an occupant is experiencing a physiological condition and correlates the physiological condition to one or more vehicle operating parameters. In response to detecting a physiological condition and to determining the correlation, the VIS causes an action to occur in order to mitigate the physiological condition and/or to seek assistance for the physiological condition.
Smart window apparatus, systems, and related methods for use with vehicles
Smart window apparatus, systems, and related methods for use with vehicles are disclosed. A disclosed apparatus includes control circuitry configured to obtain data associated with a vehicle that is parked, determine, based on the data, a status of the vehicle associated with relatively high cabin temperature or an unattended occupant in the vehicle, and open a vehicle window via a window actuator to cool the vehicle cabin. The control circuitry is also configured to detect, based on the data, an event in an environment associated with the vehicle while the vehicle window is open and adjust the vehicle window via the window actuator in response to the detection.
Scheme for setting/using electronic device as keyless device of vehicle and adjusting devices in the vehicle
A portable electronic device to be used as a keyless device of a vehicle includes a controlling circuit which includes a physiological feature detection module and a processing circuit. The physiological feature detection module is used for detecting a physiological feature of a person. The processing circuit is coupled to the physiological feature detection module and used for determining whether the person is an authorized user of the vehicle according to the detected physiological feature of the person, and for opening a car door of the vehicle or starting the vehicle when the person is identified by the processing circuit as the authorized user.
AUTOMATIC SEAT THERMAL COMFORT CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of controlling occupant thermal comfort includes the steps of driving a temperature in a seating zone to a temperature set point (54), holding the temperature set point in the seating zone for a predetermined time (56), and regulating the temperature in the seating zone to a corrected temperature set point based upon an equivalent homogenous temperature relating to vehicle cabin conditions and occupant gender (58).
Vehicle air handling system for apportioning airflow between passenger and cargo compartments
An air handling system for distributing airflow in a vehicle is disclosed and includes a passenger compartment configured to contain one or more occupants, a cargo compartment, and a flow regulating valve configured to actuate into a commanded position to apportion airflow between the passenger and cargo compartments. The air handling system also includes one or more processors in electronic communication with the flow regulating valve and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory stores data comprising a database and program code that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the air handling system to receive one or more signals indicating a total available airflow rate available to the vehicle and a system configuration. The one or more processors instruct the flow regulating valve to actuate into a commanded position. The commanded position is calculated based on at least a target cargo airflow rate.
Power moding for reduction of vehicle power consumption
The present disclosure provides a method including determining an operational mode of a vehicle based on data accumulated from at least one vehicle information system associated with the vehicle; selecting one of a plurality of power consumption profiles for the vehicle based on the determined operational mode; and applying the selected one of the power consumption profiles to the vehicle.
Climate Control
Some embodiments provide a vehicle climate control system for controlling climate conditions in various cabin regions of a vehicle cabin, where the climate control system is configured to control one or more vehicle components to change the set of climate conditions associated with one or more cabin regions to approximate a set of optimal comfort conditions. The climate control system controls various vehicle components to control climate conditions, including window assemblies, sunroof assemblies, etc. The climate control system determines optimal comfort conditions which optimize perceived temperature of various occupant body parts and maintain various climate characteristics within one or more sets of thresholds. Output configurations of various vehicle components can be determined based at least in part upon determined optimal comfort conditions of various cabin regions. Output configurations can be generated based at least in part upon various control mode priorities.
Method, apparatus, and program for delivering a scent alert
Embodiments generally relate to a method, an apparatus, and a machine-readable medium for delivering an at least one alerting scent to a cabin of a vehicle. In particular, embodiments relate to a method comprising obtaining information on an environment of the vehicle, determining an alert condition based on the information on the environment of the vehicle, and delivering the at least one alerting scent to the cabin of the vehicle based on the alert condition.
CLIMATE CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM
A climate control method for a vehicle including the steps of determining a moisture level of an occupant of the vehicle; and adjusting a climate control system of the vehicle depending on the moisture level of the occupant.
