Vehicle Door Structure And Window Sealing System for Vehicle Door
20230226890 · 2023-07-20 ·

The invention relates to the technical field of automobile door frame structures and window sealing systems. The invention includes a door body, on which a window frame is arranged, and sliding grooves. A glass body flush with the door body, and one side of the glass body has a concave surface and a convex surface on the other side. At least one side of the glass body is provided with a guide piece, and the guide piece is slidably installed in the sliding groove. An arc-shaped limiting member is arranged on the guide piece. A bump limiter is arranged on the side of the guide piece. Since the bump limiter is a solid structure and the inner side of the arc-shaped limiting member is hollowed out, the bump limiter can resist greater pressure than the arc-shaped limiting member during the glass lifting process, preventing dislocation between the door and the glass to ensure good sealing between the door body and the glass body during long-term use.

A device for reducing impact forces upon a surface includes a base comprising a first contact portion and a transition portion, a contact member disposed between the base and the surface; and a biasing portion disposed between the first contact portion of the base and the surface. At least a first portion of an impact force upon the surface is transferred from the contact member to the base, and a second portion of the impact force is subsequently returned to the surface, the second portion being less than the first portion.

LAMINATED GLAZING WITH HEATING LAYER AT THE SAME LEVEL OF THE LAMINATED STRUCTURE AS THE MASK OF THE ELECTRIC CURRENT LEADS OF THE HEATING LAYER
20230013369 · 2023-01-19 ·

A laminated glazing includes a first transparent sheet intended, in the mounting position of the glazing, to constitute the exterior face thereof, a second transparent sheet bonded to the first by an adhesive interlayer, a heating layer supplied with electric current by leads positioned at the periphery of the glazing, and a mask also positioned at the periphery of the glazing between the first transparent sheet and the leads so as to hide the latter from view from the outside in the mounting position of the laminated glazing, wherein the heating layer and the mask are on the same plane of the laminated structure of the glazing.

NON-DESTRUCTIVE GLASS PRIMING VERIFICATION METHOD FOR INSTALLED GLASS

A method of installing a glass panel on a vehicle that includes an opaque coating formed about a perimeter of the glass panel that includes a plurality of voids where the opaque coating is absent. The method includes determining whether a primer has been applied to the opaque coating by inspecting the glass panel to determine whether at least some of the plurality of voids have been covered by the primer. After determining whether a primer has been applied to the opaque coating, it is determined whether the primer has been correctly applied to the opaque coating by inspecting the glass panel to determine whether each of the plurality of voids has been covered by the primer. Then, after determining whether the primer has been correctly applied, an adhesive may be applied to the primer and the glass panel may be installed on the vehicle.

PIVOTING CURSOR FOR FRAMELESS GLASS IN A VEHICLE

A pivoting cursor for a frameless window of a vehicle door, including: a main body portion; a pivoting plate pivotally secured to the main body portion for pivotal movement about an axis; a glass clamping plate; a seal; a first adjusting screw for pivoting the pivoting plate with respect to the main body portion; and a second adjusting screw adjusting a location of the main body portion with respect to the pivoting plate.

VEHICLE WINDOW SUBASSEMBLIES FOR INITIAL BONDED AND SUBSEQUENT ROPED INSTALLATION
20220402341 · 2022-12-22 ·

Aspects of the disclosure relate to vehicle window subassemblies for initial bonded and subsequent roped installation. In certain embodiments, a vehicle body of a vehicle includes a window mount with a flange having a bonding space for bonded installation of a window and a replacement space for roped installation of a replacement window. A bonded window subassembly includes a window, bonding agent, and bonded window trim configured to, upon attachment of the window to the window mount, preserve the replacement space from the bonding agent for roped installation of a replacement window. A roped window subassembly includes a replacement window and a roped window trim configured to, upon attachment of the window to the window mount, create a seal in the replacement space and not create a seal in the bonding space. Such configurations provide increased quality of an initial bonded installation and reduced cost of a roped installation.

Windshield installation system and triangulation method
11529849 · 2022-12-20 ·

A vehicle windshield triangulation assembly (11), and triangulation method using it with a railing (22) fixed to a vehicle (16) via sliding/rotatable/orientation-adjustable/height-adjustable mounts (18). A sliding seat (21) on railing (22) receives the telescoping end (1) of assembly (11) after its two connected 360-degree rotation swivel clamps (7), each having a suction cup (8), are secured against the old windshield's (17) exterior surface. Assembly (11) triangulation transfers to a new/replacement windshield (17) by releasing suction cups (8) and pairing them in the same manner with the new/replacement windshield (17), and making needed height adjustment to a top stop (12/13) and the swivel clamp (7) remote from top stop (12/13). The telescoping end (1) of assembly (11) is then engaged with sliding seat (21), allowing one person to easily and accurately move the new windshield (17) into the same positioning of the old windshield (17). This triangulation method accommodates windshields (17) having any size and curvature, and installation of windshields (17) occurs without a dry set step, measuring, templating, or educated guessing being required.

Torque current limiting vector control system and method for window regulator brushless motor
11533010 · 2022-12-20 · ·

A motor control system for controlling a brushless electric motor of a power operated actuator of a closure panel of a vehicle and method of operating the control system are provided. The control system includes a vector control system configured to receive a torque current based on a measured angular velocity of the motor and current of each of the phases and determine corresponding stationary reference frame voltages. The vector control system outputs pulse width modulation signals to the motor. A vector torque current limiter couples to the vector control system and the motor and is configured to determine the torque current drawn, receive the measured angular velocity and determine whether there is a reduction of the measured angular velocity and detects a pinch event and reduces the torque current in response to determining there is a reduction of the measured angular velocity of the brushless electric motor.
