Channel and door sash structure
A channel according to an embodiment includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and an end wall. The first sidewall has a first end portion, a second end portion, and a first locking portion located between the first end portion and the second end portion to lock a glass run. The second sidewall has a third end portion, a fourth end portion, a second locking portion located between the third end portion and the fourth end portion to lock the glass run, and a fixing portion located between the fourth end portion and the second locking portion and configured to be fixed to a door constituting member. The end wall is connected to the first end portion and the third end portion. The fixing portion is located farther away from the first sidewall as the fixing portion is located farther away from the end wall.
OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE SLIDING-WINDOW PANEL
An opening/closing device for a vehicle sliding-window panel, includes a sliding-window panel opening and closing an opening part provided in a vehicle body, upper and lower guide rails to support the sliding-window panel to slide, and a slide driving mechanism fixed to one guide rail either the upper or lower guide rail. The slide driving mechanism includes a motor, a lead screw rotated by driving the motor, and a screw nut which is screwed with the lead screw to linearly move in a longitudinal direction of the one guide rail by rotation of the lead screw and is coupled with the sliding-window panel to operate the sliding-window panel to open and close by the linear movement. The one guide rail is integrally formed with a first and second supporting portions which rotatably support both end portions of the lead screw respectively.
Deployable windscreen for a motor vehicle
A windscreen arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a windscreen and a mounting arrangement. The mounting arrangement is operative to mount the windscreen to a body of the motor vehicle for deployment from a first position to a second position. In the second position, the windscreen is upwardly displaced from the first position.
Cold formed laminates
The principles and embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to complexly curved laminates made from a complexly curved substrate and a flat substrate, such as automotive window glazings, and methods of cold forming complexly-curved glass products from a curved substrate and a flat substrate. In one or more embodiments, the laminate includes first complexly-curved glass substrate with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, a second complexly-curved glass substrate with a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface with a thickness therebetween; and a polymer interlayer affixed to the second convex surface and third surface, wherein the third surface and fourth surface have compressive stress values respectively that differ such that the fourth surface has as compressive stress value that is greater than the compressive stress value of the third surface.
Vehicle door
A vehicle door includes a window and further includes window glass, an outer panel made of resin, and a belt molding. The outer panel is placed outwardly in the vehicle width direction from the window glass and faces the window glass in at least part of the peripheral edge of the opening. The belt molding is fixed to the inner surface of the outer panel facing the window glass and seals a gap between the window glass and the outer panel. The belt molding includes a base member and a belt molding body. The base member is bonded to the inner surface of the outer panel and has an attachment surface facing the window glass. The belt molding body is supported on the attachment surface of the base member via a plurality of fixed points provided such that the fixed points are distanced from each other.
Zipper less removable windows for a folding SUV soft top
A zipper less removable window system having removable windows for use with a foldable, stowable roof for a vehicle. A plurality of attachment devices of the zipper less removable window system connect the windows to the foldable, stowable roof and to the vehicle without the use of zippers. The operator zipper effort caused by traditional windows is thereby eliminated and misalignment issues present with traditional zippered windows is eliminated or reduced. The stress placed on the portions of the windows connectable to the foldable roof during installation and removal, including around curved portions of the removable window, is eliminated or reduced.
WINDSHIELD FOR VEHICLE
A windshield comprises first and second sections of transparent material each having a perimeter disposed adjacently on an aperture on a vehicle. Encapsulation is included with the sections of transparent material disposed adjacent the perimeters. A member is included on the encapsulation adjacent the first section extending from the encapsulation disposed adjacent the perimeter of the first section of transparent material to the encapsulation adjacent the second perimeter of the second section.
