INNER SUPPORT PANEL WITH MULTI-SIDED MOUNTING INTERFACE FOR HARDWARE MODULE OF VEHICLE DOOR ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein are vehicle door inner panels, methods for making such inner panels, and motor vehicles with door assemblies using inner support panels. Presented is a door inner panel for a vehicle door assembly with a hardware module. The door inner panel includes a header section with a window frame for receiving a windowpane. A shell section is attached to the header section and mounts to the vehicle body's door frame. The shell section has a hardware frame for the hardware module. The hardware frame includes: a mounting interface on the shell section's inboard surface for coupling to an outboard surface of the hardware module's unit carrier; a mounting interface on a fore-aft surface of the shell section for sealingly attaching to a peripheral surface of the unit carrier; and a mounting interface on the shell section's outboard surface for coupling to an inboard surface of the unit carrier.
Open loop fixed outside pull handle integrated with door belt seal
A vehicle door includes a belt structure and a rigid handle having a rigid base and a rigid outer grip portion. The rigid outer grip portion includes a portion that is spaced apart from the base to form a gap. The base of the handle is rigidly connected to the belt structure whereby the outer grip portion of the handle does not move relative to the belt structure. The vehicle door may include a powered door opening mechanism that moves a portion of the door away from a vehicle body when actuated.
Two-part seal for vehicle door assembly
A seal for a vehicle door. The seal includes a lower seal member structured to be mounted to a lower vehicle door portion and an upper seal member structured to be mounted to an upper vehicle door portion. The upper seal member sealingly contacts the lower seal member when the upper vehicle door portion is mounted to the lower vehicle door portion. The lower seal member includes a projection structured to abut a portion of the lower vehicle door portion when the lower seal member is mounted to the lower vehicle door portion, so as to prevent a movement of the lower seal member and resulting misalignment between the upper and lower seal members during movement of the seal members into sealing contact with each other.
MEASURING DEVICE FOR MEASURING A PRELOAD OF A FRAMELESS DOOR WINDOWPANE OF A VEHICLE
A measuring device (1) for measuring a preload of a frameless door windowpane (2) of a vehicle (3) includes: a holding device (4) for affixing the measuring device (1) to a door windowpane (2) to be checked; an acceleration measuring unit (5) for recording spatial acceleration data (6, 7, 8) about the movement of the measuring device (1); and a communications interface (9) for operating the measuring device (1) and for reading acceleration data (6, 7, 8).
DOOR MIRROR STRUCTURE
A door mirror structure comprises a door-mirror body portion, a mirror base having a tip-end portion fixed to the door-mirror body portion and a base-end portion provided away from the tip-end portion, a rotational support axis connected to the base-end portion and rotatably supporting the door-mirror body portion and the mirror base between a mirror-use position and a mirror-storage position, and an electromotive rotational unit provided to rotate the door-mirror body portion and the mirror base between the mirror-use position and the mirror-storage position around an axis line of the rotational support axis. The electromotive rotational unit is provided at a side door. The rotational support axis is provided to be inclined such that an upper side thereof is located on a vehicle forward side.
DOOR MIRROR STRUCTURE
A door mirror structure comprises a door-mirror body portion, a mirror base having a tip-end portion fixed to the door-mirror body portion, and a drive unit to rotate the door-mirror body portion and the mirror base between a mirror-use position and a mirror-storage position. The drive unit is provided at the side door. The housing of the door-mirror body portion has a shape such that the door-mirror body portion taking the mirror-use position is not positioned in an area between a first imaginary line which connects a middle point between both eyes of a driver and an inner-end portion, in a vehicle width direction, of a rear face of the door-mirror body portion and a second imaginary line which connects the above-described middle point and a front end portion of a door glass.
VEHICLE
A vehicle described in the present specification is configured such that a door includes an outer panel, a door trim, window glass configured to be manually raised and lowered, a belt molding, and a knob. The window glass is supported movably between an upper limit position at which the window glass closes an opening of a window frame and a lower limit position at which the window glass opens the opening of the window frame. The knob is configured to be gripped by a user who operates the window glass. The door trim includes a recess configured to face the knob and form a space when the window glass is placed at the lower limit position, the space being formed to receive a hand of the user, the hand gripping the knob.
VEHICLE DOOR
A vehicle door includes a door box with first and second walls and a second wall and a window frame module, in which a window frame, a first window shaft reinforcement and a second window shaft reinforcement are connected into a structural unit. The first window shaft reinforcement features a groove that accommodates an upper edge of the first wall. An upper edge of the second wall is covered by the second window shaft reinforcement.
VEHICLE DOOR ASSEMBLY
The vehicle door assembly includes an outer panel which has a rocker sill area and a beltline area. A reinforcement member, which is made of one or more pieces, is attached with the outer panel along at least a portion of an outer periphery of the outer panel. The door assembly further includes a module which is made as a single integral piece and is fixedly attached with the reinforcement member. The module has an inner beltline reinforcement and supports a pair of window channels and a window regulator for controllably raising and lowering a window between an open position and a closed position.
