The first beam includes at least one first beam reinforcement structure, the at least one first beam reinforcement structure including a first leg and a second leg disposed along the first beam and extended between the first wall and the second wall in the first beam transverse direction. The first leg and the second leg are angled toward each other along the first beam transverse direction from the second wall toward the first wall.
VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE
A vehicle body structure, comprising: a door structure having an inner door panel and a reinforcement member installed to the inner door panel, the reinforcement member extending from a forward area of the door structure to a rearward area of the door structure, the door structure being movable to and from each of a closed orientation and an open orientation when installed to a vehicle; a latch mechanism installed to the rearward area of the inner door panel, the latch mechanism being configured such that in a latching orientation the latch mechanism retains the door structure in the closed orientation and in a release orientation the door structure can move to the open orientation, the latch mechanism being positioned such that at least a section of a rearward portion of the reinforcement member is outboard and level with a portion of the latch mechanism; and a secondary reinforcement portion fixedly attached to a central area of the reinforcement member spaced apart from a forward area of the inner door panel such that in response to an impact event where force is directed to a central area of the door structure, the reinforcement member deforms and contacts the latch mechanism retaining the latch mechanism in the latching orientation.
HORIZONTAL REINFORCEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR
The invention relates to a door (3) of a motor vehicle (1), having an outer wall and a lining (7) forming a casing (9), said casing (9) comprising: a main side reinforcement (17) extending longitudinally between a front edge (9A) and a rear edge (9C) of said casing (9); an upper reinforcement (15) extending longitudinally along an upper edge (9B) of said casing (9); an exterior opening control support (11) of the door (3), which is fixed to the upper reinforcement (15); the casing (9) further comprising: an auxiliary side reinforcement (21) which extends above the main side reinforcement (17) longitudinally between the front edge (9A) and the rear edge (9C) of the casing (9) and is fixed to the control support for the exterior opening (11) of the door (3).
FRAME STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE EXTERIOR PANEL
A frame structure of an automotive exterior panel includes a sheet-like outer panel, a plurality of first members, each of which has an elongated shape, and which are disposed on a vehicle inside with respect to the outer panel, and a second member that has an elongated shape and intersects with the plurality of first members, in which each of the plurality of first members extends in a first direction along a sheet surface of the outer panel, and has a groove part recessed from the vehicle outside toward the vehicle inside at a portion thereof in a longitudinal direction, the second member extends in a second direction along the sheet surface of the outer panel, and has a thickness in a vehicle inside-outside direction, which is uniform at a portion closer to the center than at both end portions in the longitudinal direction, and at an intersection portion where each of the plurality of first members and the second members intersect with each other, the second member is in contact with the inside of the groove part provided in each of the plurality of first members.
DOOR BEAM STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE SIDE DOOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A door beam structure for a vehicle side door includes a door beam having a hollow cross section, wherein the door beam includes: an outside portion forming a hollow flange of the door beam arranged to face a door skin, and an inside portion forming a hollow door beam body of the door beam.
Center pillar structure
A center pillar structure may include a center pillar inner upper connected to a side inner, a center pillar inner connected to the center pillar inner upper in up and down directions, a center pillar reinforcement outer connected to a front pillar reinforcement outer and connected to the center pillar inner along the up and down directions, a center pillar reinforcement disposed along the up and down directions on the inner side between the center pillar inner and the center pillar reinforcement outer, and coupled between front/rear flange combined portions of the center pillar inner and the center pillar reinforcement outer, and a seat belt reinforcement shaped corresponding to the center pillar reinforcement, and connected to the center pillar reinforcement to form an inner closed section along the up and down directions.
Deployable reinforcement for vehicle door
A vehicle-door reinforcement includes a first beam elongated along an axis between a first end and a second end. The vehicle-door reinforcement includes a hinged beam elongated along the axis. The hinged beam includes a first segment and a second segment hinged to each other. The first segment is engaged with the first beam and the second segment is slideably engaged with the first beam. The vehicle-door reinforcement includes an actuator fixed to the first beam and connected to the second segment.
DOOR STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
A rear side door 20 designed to open and close an opening formed in a body 40 includes an inner panel 21 and a door beam 24. The door beam 24 is mounted on an inner panel 21 through a bracket 25 placed between the door beam 24 and the inner panel 21, and a patch member 26 is disposed on a tip part 24A of the door beam 24 at a position overlapping the tip part 24A of the door beam 24 in the vehicle widthwise direction.
COMPOSITE VEHICLE COMPONENTS FORMED OF SHEET MOLDING COMPOUND REINFORCED WITH CONTINUOUS FIBERS
A vehicle component includes a body, a first beam, and a second beam. The body has a first fixture region and a second fixture region. The first beam is formed of a first composite material and has a first beam shape. The first beam is attached to the body and extends between the first fixture region and the second fixture region of the body. The second beam is formed of a second composite material and has a second beam shape that is simple compared to the first beam shape.
