Modular containment system and method
A system and method operable with a vehicle to selectively enclose a portion of the vehicle with a containment system. The containment system may be optional and/or configurable by a user. The containment system may be modular or configurable and may be used to cover any appropriate portion of the vehicle.
CANOPY FOR A VEHICLE
A canopy system may comprise a frame mountable to the vehicle so as to extend over the tray of the vehicle; a cover, the cover may be configured to extend over the frame. The frame may have supports configured to attach to the vehicle. The cover may be attachable to at least one of the supports of the frame and may have a roof portion, a front portion, opposing side portions and a rear portion. At least one of the opposing side portions and the rear portion may be partially detachable from the cover to provide access to the tray of the vehicle. The supports may have bracket members attached to ends thereof and the bracket members may be configured to be supported on top of side walls of the vehicle. The bracket members may be attached to an inner surface of the side walls of the vehicle.
Vehicle convertible top systems
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a truck bed at least partially defining a cargo area, a vehicle interior with passenger seating, and a multi-component hard top assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body to provide an enclosed configuration at least partially enclosing the vehicle interior. The multi-component hard top assembly includes a rear window assembly configured to selectively and removably couple to the vehicle body.
Method of wirelessly powering and controlling a dimmable device
A window apparatus of a vehicle includes a removable panel that selectively encloses an exterior opening of the vehicle that includes an electro-optic apparatus. The electro-optic apparatus is configured to adjust a transmittance of the window. A wireless connection interface is in connection with an interface surface of the removable panel, wherein the wireless connection interface communicates power and/or electrical signals from the vehicle to the electro-optic apparatus.
REMOVABLE AND TRANSPARENT VEHICLE TOP COMPRISING ONE OR MORE LIGHTING ELEMENTS
The invention is directed to a vehicle top that can be used with an SUV or other jeep-like vehicle with a removable top. The disclosed top includes a transparent portion, which include a sunroof comprising one or more panels. The top can further include interior lighting elements that allow the interior of the vehicle to be illuminated as desired by the use. The lighting elements can be customizable with regard to placement, color, light pattern, intensity, and the like. The lighting element and sunroof can be controlled wirelessly through the user’s phone or other device or can be manually operated.
AUTOMOBILE ACCESSORY OR ASSEMBLY COMPRISING PLURAL ACCESSORIES
One disclosed embodiment of an assembly of automobile accessories comprises a ring rack, a roof, and a cargo holder. A particular disclosed embodiment comprises a metal ring rack comprising two side rails, an end, and plural mounting brackets that allow the rack to be mounted to the roof of an existing automobile. A two-tiered, molded fiberglass roof is coupled to the ring rack by hinged mounting brackets. The roof can be positioned in an open or closed position by actuating pneumatic struts. A cargo holder is disclosed that includes two side gates that are coupled to structural rails by hinges that allow a user to access cargo stored in the cargo storage section. A fairing may be coupled to the cargo holder that is oriented at substantially a same angle as an angled end portion of the first section of the roof to facilitate wind deflection. The present disclosure also concerns automobiles to which an after-market ring rack, a roof, a cargo holder, an extension tub, and/or a vehicle body extension framework are attached. For example, an automobile may comprise a rear and rear side vehicle protection system comprising a custom-made bumper, the bumper comprising a step, a coupler for attaching tow ropes or chains, one or more built in storage sections, with each such storage section comprising an access door and door latch, accommodation for vehicle lights, and combinations of such features.
Truck cap lifting kit
The invention is a kit for attaching to a truck cap to enable the cap to be lifted off of and lowered onto a truck by lines from above. The kit includes: a first rail and a second rail, each configured to attach to the truck cap; a first pair of sliding masts for releasably attaching to the first rail and a second pair of sliding masts for releasably attaching to the second rail. Each of the sliding mast includes: a sled which is captured by the rail, and is slidable along the rail, and is adapted to be secured at various points along the rail; and a brace with one end attached to the sled and the other end adapted to receive one of the lines. In another aspect, the kit includes multiple lifting devices.
SOFT TOP MOUNT AND ACCESSORY RAIL FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
A recreational vehicle with side by side seating has or can receive an overhead tubular framework with an accessory rail removably attached to an overhead cross member of the tubular framework. The accessory rail providing an anchor for a forward edge of a soft top with the soft top wrapping around the overhead cross member and extending rearwardly and being supported by and secured to the tubular framework. The soft top covering the side by side seating region. The accessory rail having three functional portions positioned circumferentially about an axis of the rail. A first functional portion providing the fixed anchor for the forward edge of the soft top, another functional portion providing interface and attachment features for connecting the rail to the overhead cross member, and another functional portion providing accessory mounting with variable positioning and attachment of an array of accessories above and forward of the side by side seating region.
