ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH ROOF ASSEMBLY
A roof assembly for attachment to reinforcement beams in a fixed roof of a vehicle comprises a frame surrounding at least a part of an opening and configured to be attached to at least the reinforcement beams of the vehicle. The frame is made primarily of plastic material. At least a first stationary panel is at least partly semi-transparent and is at least partly fixed to the frame. At least one movable panel is arranged adjacent the stationary panel. A reinforcement is integrated in the frame. The reinforcement extends at least around an area covered by the movable panel, and along at least a portion of the frame configured to be attached to the reinforcement beams of the vehicle.
Vehicle Roof and Vehicle
A vehicle roof has a roof opening and a planar, transparent or translucent, roof element which seals the roof opening and is permanently connected to a roof frame of the vehicle roof. A ventilation device is integrated in the roof element and has a ventilation flap. The ventilation flap can be pivoted between a closed position in which the ventilation flap seals a ventilation opening and an open position in which the ventilation flap exposes the ventilation opening. A vehicle is equipped with a vehicle roof of this type.
Magnetic header design
A vehicle arrangement is provided including a vehicle body having at least a partially open top and transverse window with a ferromagnetic frame, a flexible membrane sunscreen cover for at least a portion of the vehicle. A magnetic member connected with the sunscreen cover holds an end of the cover with the window frame.
SUNROOF STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE
A sunroof structure of a vehicle includes at least one first mount for being mounted to a vehicle body of the vehicle, a window panel for being disposed to a hollow portion of the vehicle and having a main body and second and third mounts disposed on a bottom side of the main body, a transmission member including first and second rotational shafts rotatably disposed with the first and second mounts respectively and at least one crank connected with the first and second rotational shafts, and a link pivotally connected between the third mount and a pivot mount of the vehicle body. As a result, the window panel is drivenable to close or open the hollow portion. The sunroof structure greatly increases the open area of the hollow portion, and provides the side shielding function for the vehicle when the window panel is opened.
PANEL DEVICE
A panel device (10), particularly a roof light for a recreational vehicle, comprises an at least substantially polygonal frame (11, 12) which surrounds an opening (15). A window (20) is connected to the frame for pivoting about a pivot axis and comprises a panel (21) which extends over the opening. Provided between the frame and the window is a stay device (50) which is manipulable between a first position, in which the window is forced into a flat state and closes the opening, and at least one second position in which the window is raised by the stay device and leaves the opening at least partially clear. The stay device comprises a stay (51, 52) which extends movably from an elongate guide (61, 62) at a first outer end and is connected pivotally to the window at an opposite, second outer end. The stay (51, 52) is adjustable in the guide and is coupled to an actuator (78) via a flexible transmission (71 . . . 83). The transmission comprises at least one tension-resistant pull member (71-73) which is coupled to the stay (51, 52) and which is movable in an axially at least substantially rigid yet flexible sleeve (81-83), a first outer end of which is fixed to or close to the stay (51, 52) and a second outer end of which is attached to or close to the actuator (78).
Removable roof vent
A vent for mobile living quarters has a base and a cover coupled to the base. The cover is connected to the base and pivots about a hinge by a mechanism that is coupled to a moving bar. The moving bar is attached to the cover by fasteners on one end and an alignment tab on the opposite end. The cover is user-replaceable from the top side without having to move or disconnect the mechanism. To replace the cover, fasteners are removed and the cover is pivoted away from the moving bar, where the alignment tab disengages from the cover. The cover is then slidable along the hinge to completely remove the cover from the base. A new replacement cover is slid along the hinge and the alignment tab is engaged with the replacement cover. The cover is pivoted down to a closed position and the fasteners are reinstalled.
OPEN ROOF CONSTRUCTION FOR A VEHICLE
An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a frame and a panel capable of at least partly opening and closing an opening in a fixed roof. A drive motor in the vicinity of the rear edge of the opening and in the vicinity of a longitudinal center line of the opening comprises elongate drive members extending from its output shaft oppositely along the rear edge. An operating mechanism is movably connected between the frame near the rear edge and the rear edge of the panel. The operating mechanism includes two height-adjusting members on the frame, one on each lateral side of the drive motor and guided for a movement in lateral direction initiated by the drive members. Two height-adjustable members are immovably fixed to the panel and cooperate with the height-adjusting members which move along with the drive members so as to cause the height adjustment.
MOTOR VEHICLE ROOF HINGE AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING HINGE ON VEHICLE ROOF WITH REMOVABLE ROOF PANELS
For a vehicle with at least one removable hardtop roof panel and a fixed hardtop rear rooftop, a hinge is provided that attaches to the removable panel(s) and the rear rooftop. In the case of the Jeep® Freedom Top®, both removable panels are attached to the rear fixed portion of the roof using the hinge, enabling the removable panels to be flipped over the rear of the roof.
Devices and methods for overhead cranks
A crank extension device for an overhead crank. The device comprises a shell configured to fit over a crank handle, and the shell comprises an aperture for passage of the crank shaft. The device also comprises an extension connected to or integral with the shell, wherein the extension has an extension axis offset from a rotational axis of the crank shaft. Methods of modifying an. overhead crank and for using a crank extension device.
