Transfer Case With Disconnect Lubrication
A lubrication system (400) for a transfer case (200) includes a pump (228) selectively supplying a working fluid to a fluid reservoir of an actuator (226) configured to apply force to a clutch assembly (214) to cause the clutch assembly (214) to move between a disengaged position and an engaged position. The lubrication system also includes a relief valve (302) having a relief valve inlet fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir of the actuator (226) which opens to receive the working fluid based on a threshold pressure level of the working fluid in the fluid reservoir. The lubrication system also includes a trough (306) fluidly coupled to a relief valve outlet of the relief valve (302). The trough (306) carries the working fluid from the relief valve outlet to a bearing assembly (227) associated with at least one of an input shaft (204) and a primary output shaft (206) of the transfer case (200) when the clutch assembly (214) is in the disengaged position.
Vehicle
The controller is programmed to perform first control that controls a driving force distributor such as to decrease a distribution rate upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition that a frequency of at least one rotation fluctuation of an output member of the drive system, a main drive wheel and a sub drive wheel is within a predetermined area, compared with the distribution rate upon non-satisfaction of the predetermined condition.
DISTRIBUTION OF OIL TO THE INPUT BEARING AND SEAL OF A TRANSFER CASE
A product may include a case, and a shaft that rotates may extend into the case. A bearing may support the shaft at the case. A seal may be positioned around the shaft outboard from the bearing. The bearing may have a first side facing the seal and a second side facing away from the seal. The case may define an inlet to an area between the bearing and the seal. A baffle may extend over the inlet on the second side and radially outside the bearing.
TRI-DRIVE TRANSMISSION FOR REAR MID-ENGINE VEHICLE
An apparatus and methods are provided for a transmission for a rear mid-engine vehicle. The transmission comprises a power transfer portion for receiving torque from the engine and a gearbox for providing conversions of rotational speed and torque. First and second side output portions conduct torque from the gearbox to the rear wheels. A forward output portion conducts torque to front wheels of a four-wheel drive vehicle. An air clutch comprising each output portion controls the degree of torque transferred to each wheel. The output portions are each coupled to a rear wheel by a rear axle, bevel gears, and rear portal gears. The rear axles are aligned with, and positioned above, the trailing arms to protect the rear axles from damage due to rocks and debris. The length and alignment of the rear axles cause CV joints to articulate in the same direction as the trailing arms.
Utility vehicle
A utility vehicle comprises a traveling driving power source which generates rotational driving power for driving a drive wheel; a continuously variable transmission including an input shaft to which the rotational driving power transmitted from the traveling driving power source is input, an output shaft which outputs the rotational driving power toward the drive wheel, a drive pulley provided at the input shaft, a driven pulley provided at the output shaft, and a belt wrapped around the drive pulley and the driven pulley; a clutch which is disposed in a driving power transmission path at a location that is between the belt and the drive wheel and is capable of disconnecting the driving power transmission path; and a clutch actuator which operates the clutch.
FRONT-REAR WHEEL DRIVING FORCE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE AND FRONT-REAR WHEEL DRIVING FORCE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE CONTROLLER
A front-rear wheel driving force distribution device includes a center differential and a limited slip differential. The limited slip differential includes a first clutch, a second clutch, a first piston, a second piston, and a one-way clutch provided between the first clutch and a rear propeller shaft. If the second clutch is engaged by the second piston, the propeller shaft on the rear side rotates at increased speed as compared with a case where the first clutch is engaged by the first piston. The one-way clutch couples the first clutch and the rear propeller shaft if a number of rotations of the first clutch is same as or higher than a number of rotations of the rear propeller shaft, and idles if the number of rotations of the first clutch is lower than the number of rotations of the rear propeller shaft.
TRANSFER DEVICE OF VEHICLE
A transfer device of a vehicle is provided, in which an auxiliary-drive-wheel output shaft extending in parallel with a main-drive-wheel output shaft is connected to a propeller shaft having a universal joint. An end part of the auxiliary-drive-wheel output shaft on a propeller shaft side is formed in a hollow shape and includes a fitting part configured to be spline-engaged with a joint part provided to the universal joint. The joint part is provided with a centering part which is inserted into a centering hole formed in a flange part provided to one side of the auxiliary-drive-wheel output shaft so that the joint part is centered on the auxiliary-drive-wheel output shaft. The flange part is sandwiched between a spacer and the joint part, and a bolt member is attached to a bolt hole formed in the centering part so that the propeller shaft is assembled to the auxiliary-drive-wheel output shaft.
TRANSMISSION, IN PARTICULAR FOR A VEHICLE
A transmission, such as a transmission for a vehicle, a driveline including the transmission, and a method of performing a gear shift using the transmission. The transmission comprises a first transmission shaft, a first gear disposed on the first transmission shaft, a first wet clutch, and a first synchronizer. The first wet clutch and the first synchronizer are configured to selectively drivingly engage the first gear with the first transmission shaft and are connectable in series between the first gear and the first transmission shaft, such that the first gear is drivingly engaged with the first transmission shaft only when both the first wet clutch and the first synchronizer are engaged, and such that the first gear is drivingly disengaged from the first transmission shaft when either one or both of the first wet clutch and the first synchronizer is/are disengaged.
